Smart Suites Albaicin offers modern accommodation in Albaicin, just 5 minutes’ walk from Plaza Nueva and Gran Via.

Gar-Anat Hotel is a small and unique hotel from the 17th century, set in the historic city centre. Skillfully restored, it retains most of its original architectural features.
Score from 556 reviews Excellent
The Monjas del Carmen is in a pedestrian street in central Granada, next to Plaza Nueva and the Moorish Albayzín Quarter. All soundproofed rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV and a laptop safe.
Score from 921 reviews Excellent
Hotel Anacapri is in a typical 18th-century house in Granada's historic quarter, just 165 ft from the cathedral and Plaza Nueva Square. It has free Wi-Fi throughout.
Score from 1283 reviews Very good
Location, good big room. Good service
Information related to parking could be added on the web for the Hotel, ex. the name of the parking. A normal GPS can not lead You to the hotel, because the hotel is located in a pedestrian street.
Breakfast quite expensive better to head for churros on the main square!
friendly reception, clean room condition.
hotel is generally cold! and the worst thing, hot water is limited!!!! after 20 min, hot water suddenly stop. It was horrible especially when it is winter! you must consider to go this hotel when it is winter.
In summer it may be nice.
We stayed in one of the apartements (not in the main building) in Februar. It was very cold in there. The AC worked but the rooms were too big to get warm. I went to the reception after the first ice cold night. The receptionist was sitting with a nice electric heating at her feet. She told me she'd send somebody to switch on the floor heating (aha! why wasnt it on anyways?). A few hours later, a guy came but only said "no functione" and left. We also left the apartement and found a nice hotel in the modern part of town.
Simply wonderful. I liked everything.
Stepping off a cobblestone lane into an eighteenth century building with original beams and columns, The bathroom was modern and the Wi-fi &TV worked. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Nicely renovated Quiet Incredible views of Alhambra Extremely helpful staff
The apartments we had was dark not enough lights and cold especially the floor do not have heating. The heater do not work properly on the remote control There is no kitchen lights.
Very dark. Ridiculous non functional kitchen. This place was very poor value. It thinks that it is a chic boutique experience. It is not and we stayed at much smarter places for a lot less
The hotel itself was very good, clean and comfortable.
Access very difficult in fact with a car not possible, the parking is about 15 mins walk away and with luggage not good!!
Fantastic location in the old town; beautiful, intimate boutique hotel hidden away behind the heavy wooden door. Two of the three rooms we booked were lovely suites - as well as the amazing views from 301 & 302, we loved all the welcoming touches in each of the rooms. Plenty of great advice from the team regarding tapas & restaurants during our New Year stay.
Trying (and failing) to follow the website directions to find the hotel by car - we eventually had to return our hire car early, and get there by taxi!
The location, close to the Alcazar, 10 mn walk. The proximity of the Albaysin restaurants, shops and views. The friendliness of the staff. The fact they accepted our small dog although it is a no pet hotel and we had forgotten to check...
The very complicated access. The far away parking garage. The very dark rooms, with insufficient lighting. The very basic service ( basic bkfst, only one person on duty at any time.
Location was excellent, felt like a very new renovation of a ver old building, with the perfect mix of character and comfort
Fab boutique hotel, great location, lovely little quaint bar almost opposite, complimentary bottle of wine in the room, very nice touch. Would certainly stay here again.
The spacious room, the complimentary bottle of wine, the traditional style of the building hidden away behind old wooden doors, the location alongside the little stream by the Alhambra.
The lighting was too dim in the bedroom and the breakfast room.
Good apartment in the city center. Everything in walking distance. 20 min by foot from train station (but with small luggage
Everything is OK
no parking near or at the hotel
Elegant Arabic decoration. Nice space for fitting in 4 people comfortably. Everything you need is in the apartment. Reception is also kind and nice!
Parking space is distant to the apartment. (around 10 mins walking)
Fabulous hotel conversion. Tasteful decor beautiful room. The complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely gesture. Definitely recommend it.
I travel 4-6 months a year and rarely do I find such a well polished establishment. The room was excellent and facilities inside and outside the room were of the highest standard. You could stay at the Parador for four times the cost, and I have, but I much preferred the Shine Hotel and will certainly return my next trip to Granada.
The fact I didn't have my wife along to enjoy such a beautiful stay.
Location good, atmosphere outside the hotel "very buzzy" if a little noisy at times but it added to our enjoyment of the Cities vibrancy. Within easy reach of city centre, loads of good eating places within just a few minutes walk. Hotel did come up trumps with reduced parking fees at their recommended car park, and when I (the fella) got to grips with the ticketing procedure it worked very well and saved a fair bit money.
We found the general ambiance of the hotel dark and dismal, in fact rather depressing. The reception and galleried landings are very dark and except in brilliant sunshine need to be artificially illuminated, they were not most of the time, even the stairway lighting was switched off making ascending and de-cending less than easy. We booked bed and breakfast, ate in one morning and for the remaining nine mornings we ate out. Under cleanliness we've rated the hotel as poor, mainly because the shower enclosure was in dire need of a good clean, having said this, cleanliness of the shower enclosure seem's to leave a lot to be desired in many hotel's With a few minor tweaks the Shine Albazyan could be a great place to base a stay in Granada. We've rated staff as fair, because of the type of accommodation we only had contact with the young ladies on reception (3 no.) 2 did their job, which what they are paid to do, no more no less, and one cannot expect more, however one of the young ladies was very helpful and went the extra mile to be obliging and helpful, she would rate as excellent because every little bit kindness helps to make the holiday more enjoyable.
Lovely serene reception, charming rooms, helpful staff, delicious lemonade and pionono cakes and biscuits each evening. We didn't have a view of the alhambra but we loved our courtyard view. So close to the best and loveliest spots of granada and close to the hammam too which was a bonus! Agree cabs make it easier to get to the parking - find out the location of it before you arrive as one way systems can be confusing, take the parking ticket at the entrance, park up and get to reception via cab (there are lifts in the parking for you to get luggage up to groudn level if needed) At reception you can exchange the entry ticket for 'bonas' at the reception - a discounted daily rate ticket worth taking advantage of. Also, there was a very charming procession goign to the main church nearby and went just past us, right in the hub of things but serene, excellent! (ps coach station is on the other side of town to the albayzin quarter if you use that to get from malaga to granada, but we drove so didn't really have that to deal with that)
Striking Moorish building with attractive stylish conversion. All mod cons and a most welcome bottle of wine in the room! We plan to stay here again.
No parking...Had to park in a city car park a 15 min walk away. But this was easy and the hotel had a discounted rate (14E 24h) and was well compensated by the excellent location
Location, room 202 could have been a great room , but for the clear glass door on the toilet.
Before we went to Granada we emailed the hotel to ask if you could see the toilet through the bathroom door the hotel replied that although some of the bathroom doors were glass you could not see through them, they lied I wish I could attach a photo.
Location great. Friendly staff. Got laundry done at good price. Bathroom great looking
No counter space in bathroom
