Surprise once inside well decorated with some original features.. Well equipped rooms and quiet. Bottle of wine to greet you.
Outside of building in poor state looked tatty. room very small and claustraphobic as no window.
THE LOCATION: overlooking the little river at the botton of the Alhambra and the amazing view of the Alhambra from the window. The tasteful renovation of the old Moorish building complete with courtyard. The huge superbly decorated room and last but not least the excellent complimentary bottle of wine in the room What a delight this place was absolutely superb in every way. Very good value too.
Nothing at all.
Quiet but central location. A lovely and well-adapted old building with very friendly and efficient staff. They had been very helpful prior to arrival and continued to be so throughout our stay. Complimentary bottle of wine on arrival with free fresh lemonade and cake served in the courtyard every afternoon. Free use of laptop with wifi.
The hot water supply was erratic, although this seems only to have been to our room! A new hot-water system has been installed recently at the hotel. Ice-making and coffee-making facilities would have been good. Nowhere to sit outside, other than central courtyard which, though nice, felt a bit like sitting indoors
Location was great, staff really friendly and helpful. Building is lovely and so peaceful! Highly recommended to stay if you want to do sightseeing and going out for tapas! Really enjoyed, thanks
Close to Alhambra other than that nothing
Very hard to get into, almost impossible to find in a very narrow street no where to even pull over your car had to stop right by the door where all people walking by, I was sorry we pick this Hotel on top of that our apartment we had to walk for 10 minutes from the main reception it was outside on the other street, didn't really like at all I don't recommend especially with young children it's not cheap either. I would rather stay in a bigger chain hotel than this.
Location - mid-of-everything View on the Alhambra Size of the apartment
Location - mid-of-street-noise (expected) 10 min and more from the parking if hot weather, kids or luggage
We were recommended this last time we were in Granada by a bunch of US tourists who we met on the street so we went and asked to see a room which was fabulous with bath, separate shower, seating area, stunning views of the Albaycin and so beautifully decorated. Car parking rates excellent! Great pillows and smart sheets, good air conditioning and the public parts very smartly decorated with great lighting at night.
The room we were given barely had space for the comfortable double bed, there was no bath in the nicely decorated bathroom (but a good shower) the decoration was plain and the view, through a not very nice net curtain, was of the central courtyard. OK, maybe we were shown a super-suite and just booked for a double but at the time we were shown the room no one said oh this is our best room ordinary ones are quite small and basic and when we asked the prices we were told that you have to call less than a month before to make a booking. Although there was no street noise the inside of the hotel was very noisy from 3.00pm through midnight and then again from 7.00am - no noise insulation. We have stayed many times in Granada and we felt that at €75 this was not good value.
Noisy fan in bathroom
Large and lovely Apartment Space Historic Buildings Close to Alhambra In Jewish Quarter
OK Location in old town. Clean and spacious Nice staff
Noisy at night -were earplugs! No kettle One bathroom with limited hot water
The location was ideal. The hotel itself is actually two separate buildings. The main lobby, check in and hotel rooms are in one building and the apartments are in another building a bit further up the street. Staff was very friendly, helpful and spoke great English! We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was great. AC units in the living room and each bedroom, comfy beds, not too noisy. The furnishings were great too.
Only small complaint is the shower in the bathroom. There was a small gap between the shower door and the wall so water could get out pretty easily. We definitely soaked the bathroom floor a couple times. Not a big deal if you're careful though.
Location and the whole package
good walking location, but parking is difficult for those unfamiliar with the area
-shower broken, handle on entry door lock broken, sheets had black hairs so unsure if clean, beds uncomfortable, no cleaning service provided, no new towels provided, only 5 bath towels for a unit that sleeps 6 people (perhaps a few extra could be supplied),overall dark and noisy location
Modern amenities in an old building, really helpful staff , even before we arrived. Booked tours etc. complementary bottle of wine was a nice touch.extra large room with couch made us feel right at home. Amazing views of Alhambra and surrounds. Perfect ,perfect, perfect.
location, room, view
We stayed in the apartment which was nicely furnished and even had a washing machine. But we were only there one night. We did not have breakfast there. There were plenty of places down the street for breakfast. They helped us resolve our traffic issue as we went into town incorrectly and they notified the police with our car number so we don't get a ticket. The location was absolutely ideal!
It is a bit difficult to have to park outside and walk with all the suitcases to the hotel. I guess you could park and then hail a taxi to the hotel as well, but it is still difficult to get to. Otherwise, there were no other problems.
Beautiful small hotel with so much character in a perfect location
Beautiful hotel the best room and bathroom in a month of traveling through Spain, The staff was very friendly and helpful and the Breakfast was lovely. All in a great location!
The location is perfect if you do not have a car. Parking is a true hassle, but the hotel provides discount for a public parking located a mile away from the hotel.
(i) Location is perfect, (ii) very clean, (iii) drinks, pastries and fruit in the reception area is a nice touch, (iv) price is very reasonable.
(i) Some staff members were very unhelpful and downright rude (particularly the lady who checked us out on 13th June), (ii) lacks a little atmosphere and character.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Next to impossible to get there by car. The room had no window and was very dark.
Location is good, not too far from alhambra, and is in albayzin area
no window to see the city
Small but beautifully appointed bedroom with a stylish en- suite. The staff were charming.
Ideally a bar in the hotel would have been a great bonus. Noisy guests at 3.30 in the morning were apain.
