Simple but more than adequate rooms, very quiet. The evening barbecues by the pool were fantastic especially as they serve food until very late. Nice pool and friendly staff/

    - the view from the hotel room - location - pool seemed nice (we didn't use it though) - we were upgraded for free to the apartment (we've asked for a double bed and they were fully booked)

    - breakfast - not buffet style, just some bread with pate conserves and some butter and jam + cofee or tea and orange juice; I understand that this is the typical Spanish breakfast, but still...

Staff courteous and polite for the most part. room cleaned. reasonable value. good for via verde walk.

Olvera is not a pretty town. basic facilities and manners. reminds one of depressed mexican towns. hotel pool a little small. hotel food reasonable rather than wonderful.

This is the second time we stayed here. Clean comfortable rooms with an excellent view of the castle. Helpful staff even though our Spanish is limited. Good location, very good value for money

The hotel was spacious, clean, had a lovely pool and was very good value. The reception staff were very helpful even though their English was limited, they bent over backwards to assist.

It was part of a chain and was therefore rather lacking character. It was at the opposite end of town to the castle in a slightly odd location probably more attuned to business clients and locals than tourists, but they looked after us well. No fridge in the room. Breakfast was basic but served willingly by two over extended members of staff.

We stayed one night in Olvera on a 1 week cycling trip. We got a fairly large clean room with a view of the cathedral. We easily walked up to the church & castle twice during our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was bike-friendly. Breakfast was fair too - although not buffet style.

Had a fantastic view of the old town.

You need basic Spanish. I managed on my 10 words and dictionary.

    good atmosphere, friendly helpful staff.

with a disabled husband in tow, I should have requested a shower cubicle and not an over bath shower. My fault for assuming that all showers would be cubicle type. I don´t know if there was an alternative.

Lovely old-style hotel, with nice communal lounges and areas to spread out into.

The bar area was pretty basic (where breakfast was served), and breakfast a bit 'lean'.

I stay in the hotel regularly and it is very reliable, VERY clean and the staff are friendly and helpful at all hours of the day and night. It is also very well located and easy to find.

Parking can be a tiny bit tricky to get near the hotel at times. Would be nice to have wifi to the room, but it's good to have free in reception for the price of the hotel.

I liked my room, the pool and breakfast (Tostada with meat or sweet spreads and tomato with coffee and fresh orange juice) and the one member of staff who spoke english. The location was also handy for the supermarket and several of Olveras restauraunts. A one mile walk to the old town which I like.

The waterproof under-sheet under my sheet would not stay tucked in and always moved and rucked up under me which was not comfortable, I guess i could have removed it and not sure why it was there. I didn't eat at the Hotel because it was much more expensive than local eateries. Indeed no-one was eating when I was there except at breakfast.
