Surrounded by the mountains of the Sierra de Grazalema, this 19th-century house is located in the village of Grazalema. It offers a charming patio.
Score from 160 reviews Very good
The hotel is in the center of Ronda, with panoramic views of El Tajo gorge and just around the corner from the Plaza de Toros famed as the birthplace of bullfighting.
Score from 509 reviews Very good
Hostal Medina is located in Olvera, within the natural setting of the Sierra de Cádiz Mountains. The bus station and the Via Verde de la Sierra Route are a few metres away.
Score from 29 reviews Good
This small, typically Andalusian hotel is set in amongst the charming whitewashed villages of Cádiz province, surrounded by stunning landscape.
Score from 103 reviews Very good
The hotel is ideally situated and whist it does not have parking, there was no problem in finding a space nearby. We have stayed before (in September) and on both occasions found the staff very pleasant and friendly.
I SO wish that hotels would put mirrors in the bedrooms rather than (or as well as) in the bathroom!
Great location close to centre. Very good bars and restaurants nearby.
A little cold and no way to adjust the temperature.
Quality of sleep, due to Poor room sound proofing.
The hotel was surprisingly good standard for a 2 star hotel. Pillows could do with an upgrade. Food in hotel restaurant excellent.
Pillow on beds were flat and too soft.
Very friendly staff & Excellent food. Great value
I like the town and location of hotel a quick walk to everything. Enjoyed the cycling the via Verde.
Beds are a bit small if you are over 190 cm and weigh 85 kilo
great place to stay for short term hotel is rather oldschool but staff very friendly and rooms are clean
no wifi in room
- large clean pool - bike friendly - pleasant staff - good location for via verde
- wifi in reception area only - minimal breakfast - dark cramped room
A typically Spanish country town hotel. Restaurant had good food at good value prices. Very convenient to stop overnight having cycled from Puerto Serrano along the Via Verde de la Sierra. The receptionist was very helpful in assisting with booking parking in Seville which was our next stop. Another member of staff got us to store our bikes in a function room so to keep them safe.
Only having one night there!
Simple but more than adequate rooms, very quiet. The evening barbecues by the pool were fantastic especially as they serve food until very late. Nice pool and friendly staff/
On arrival given room without a balcony. Spoke to a very obliging gentleman on reception who found us a room with a balcony which although a twin was very comfortable. Only recommendation would be chairs for the balcony -being English we like to make the most of good weather and sit out. A very good stay with fab staff. Special mention for the director who we met while out and his English was superb and he was extremely helpful
Nothing all was good
- the view from the hotel room - location - pool seemed nice (we didn't use it though) - we were upgraded for free to the apartment (we've asked for a double bed and they were fully booked)
- breakfast - not buffet style, just some bread with pate conserves and some butter and jam + cofee or tea and orange juice; I understand that this is the typical Spanish breakfast, but still...
Staff courteous and polite for the most part. room cleaned. reasonable value. good for via verde walk.
Olvera is not a pretty town. basic facilities and manners. reminds one of depressed mexican towns. hotel pool a little small. hotel food reasonable rather than wonderful.
This is the second time we stayed here. Clean comfortable rooms with an excellent view of the castle. Helpful staff even though our Spanish is limited. Good location, very good value for money
Great staff, beautiful design, very clean, very friendly. Would recommend.
The hotel was spacious, clean, had a lovely pool and was very good value. The reception staff were very helpful even though their English was limited, they bent over backwards to assist.
It was part of a chain and was therefore rather lacking character. It was at the opposite end of town to the castle in a slightly odd location probably more attuned to business clients and locals than tourists, but they looked after us well. No fridge in the room. Breakfast was basic but served willingly by two over extended members of staff.
We enjoyed the "family"feel of the hotel and the friendly staff. There were grest views of the castle from the balcony.
lovely pool except very cold water. nice food good value for money
there was holes in the sheets no chair on balcony
Swimming pool Room size Bike storage Hotel was easy to find
Minimal breakfast (toast, juice, coffee/tea)
We stayed one night in Olvera on a 1 week cycling trip. We got a fairly large clean room with a view of the cathedral. We easily walked up to the church & castle twice during our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was bike-friendly. Breakfast was fair too - although not buffet style.
Very clean and great location. Wonderful views from room 35....great vfm
Traditional Andalucian town. Good hotel restaurant
Excellent food, well run
Local ambience of the hotel
Plastic undercover on our double bed and hard small bed
Had a fantastic view of the old town.
