The staff were incredibly helpful when dealing with a booking error. The location of the hotel is excellent - about 15 mins walk to the Prado and with good bars and cafes in the area. The hotel was comfortable, clean and stylish and the breakfasts made for a good start to the day..
Very simplistic design, very quiet even though is central.Comfortable bed and very prompt room service. I felt very safe in the hotel.
I didn't like that the WiFi system didn't remember my password so I had to type it in every time I connected.
good location breakfast possibility to rent bicycles
to much noise in the street with very bad windows not possible to sleep in my room without earplugs Free Wifi is not easy
The location was excellent The lobby was really nice and chic
Dated rooms Staff speak limited English I had a small package arrive and the cost to onwards forward it back to Australia was 200 Euro.
Location, design of the lobby, staff, friendly. Hotel quiet. The front agent gave us room options before we were assigned one. We chose a nice room. It was cool just to hange out in the lobby with their cool display /usage of different lighting/lamps design.
The wifi. they have a login where the system often bumps you off the wifi and they have 4 different boxes of codes to enter. on 2 days we had to enter each time we came going out/comin back to the hotel. It was annoying. Breakfast was too expensive 15.50 euro. ( I assume they do nto want to be a breakfast hotel with this price) You can eat in nearby places much cheaper.
Location is just great - at a quiet street but right behind one of the busiest shopping streets, with many nice restaurants around, a few steps from the Gran Via metro station (easy transportation in Madrid) and not far from the Sol, the geographical center of Madrid Room was large, nice and quiet. Breakfast is very good.
Mattress was too firm - some may like it, but I don't.. For a 4 stars hotel, I expect more than one English channels on TV.
If you travel without car, this is an excellent hotel to experience Madrid! The reception in the afternoon is excellent, courteous and informative.
Very central location Great design
Service is perfect, the staff is always ready to help- for example, to book tickets for a football match or flamenco show, or to reserve a table in restaurant, and so on The hotel looks stylish
Breakfast is poor
Good location, clean, comfortable.
Retyping the Wi-Fi password. Really expensive breakfast. Manager insisting on that we used the minibar when we have not.
right in the centre of Madrid, 300m from the Gran Via, within 10 minutes walking distance of the main museums and yet, in a very calm street. Despite the busy road, I heard absolutly no noise at night
very good location for central madrid. breakfast was good and nice feel to the hotel
Position and view Breakfast
Perhaps a little stark Coffee machine dispensed ready sweetened coffees
Staff is great. The lobby looks fantastic. Very nice having a coffee or a slice of cake at the bar
Breakfast could be better, the basement room is not very comfortable and looks really different in style comparing the great hall upstairs
Perfect location, right next to shopping area, museums, theatres, nightlife... couldn't be better. Ask for rooms in upper floors: although you're in the centre of everything they're quiet and silent. Very helpful team and the common areas are modern, have a great design and are quite different from what you'd expect from a hotel in that area.
Just one thing: it's not possible to reach those balconies in the photos and take a look at Madrid from a 7th floor. Everything else was perfect.
Lovely interior, friendly staff
The pillows are strange, hard and very long. Impossible to manage. :-)
All the shopping and the attraction just not too far at all.
Great location, in the very Center but not noisy at all. Spacious room, though a bit old. Breakfast was superbe and very diverse. Hotel staf is nice and supportive (wake up call / taxi) Overall a good value for money
The room we stayed was a bit oldish. It could be refreshed. It's a very minor point, though, as the bathroom was clean, modern and spacious. The wifi connection is a nightmare ... don't know why they chose a code system with 16 digits, that disconnect each time you switch off your devices.
Easy access to city centre and attractions Clean Quiet Friendly service Would definitely re-book if we come back to Madrid
Wi-fi requirements are inconvenient - have to keep logging in.
Good staff; specially a tall fellow who is always at the night (he has great suggestions).
The TV connection: very bad rating from me, no English channel apart from the English news. the TV for that nice hotel at that rate is quite a cheap stuff..hotel needs to change this setup.
Location, decor, staff
In a red light area, but not really an issue.
Outstanding location. Quiet during day and busy at night with street filled with bars and locals. Moments from Metro and Puerto del Sol
- breakfast is good - location is very convenient - close to the city center as well as to the metro "Grand Via" - reception is helpful
- wifi is not working properly in the room, but in the lobby it is ok. - there were some plates during the breakfast, which were not washed properly. - the window faces the wall, though it wasn't a great problem, except that it was dark in the morning.
The hotel is central. The breakfast is very good and we had an excellent spacious room with terrace. The hotel staff are very courteous and ready to help
