Excellent but very expensive food and wonderful view of the Guggenheim Museum across the street. Comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff. They turn off the AC in late fall and the day was warm so the room temp was hot at night. Be careful with the special sample meal for two as it reads 85 euros, but it means 85 euros per person. Shocker, but the meal was one of the best we have ever had. Close to the tram line to get to buses and public transportation. Beautiful city and not the expected industrial city we read about. Guggenheim is very modern art oriented, so if your taste isn't into abstract just go and enjoy the wonderful architecture of the building itself. Right on the scenic river with great places to walk and stop for coffee.

The place opposite the museum and the breakfast. Expensive parking.rooms with different prices and the room without view is a 'blind' room.

The Silken Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao exceeded our high expectation in every way. The staff was exceptional, the hotel was beautiful and the location, across the street from the Guggenheim, could not have been better. The roof terrace for breakfast and afternoon cocktails looked out over the museum. Terrific in every way!

The breakfast room overlooking the Guggenheim was amazing. The breakfast menu and spread was excellent. The location of this hotel cannot be matched in Bilbao. My room overlooks the Guggenheim. The rooms were very well laid out and the size was right. I will stay here again when I return.

All I can say is amazing! I have never stayed in such a very much design-oriented and architecturally unique hotel. At the restaurant in the upper floor, I enjoyed not only a nice breakfast but a splendid view of the city including Guggenheim Museum. Also people at the front desk were very kind.

This is a modern design hotel that is next door to the beautiful Frank Gehry-designed Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. The room was extremely spacious, beautiful bath, great terrace with a view over the museum and the river. Great buffet breakfast on the 7th floor open air terrace. Staff extremely helpful. The hotel is particularly good for a city break if you are intended to visit the museum (which was the purpose of our trip; we only stayed for one day); the city centre is about 15 minutes walk on the embankment. Great experience and perfect value for money.

The purpose of our stay here was to visit the Guggenheim museum. This hotel is in a perfect location, just accross the road. The staff here were the friendliest & most helpful people. Nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite which overlooked the museum. We ate dinner in the restaurant on one evening & our meal was superb. The only reason that we didn't eat there on both nights of our stay was that the restaurant was fully booked on the night we arrived.

The location is simply unbelievable. Having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Guggenheim Museum is a priceless experience. The interiors of the hotel have nice design and the rooms are very big. Although the room was very big and confortable, it had no external light. There was only a small window facing the internal lobby. From the room you could not understand if it was raining or sunny, and it was necessary to use artuificial light all day long.

Excellent roof top terrace with great views of the surrounding area. The hotel name was confusing as there are signs to the Domine in the city but not to the Silken Gran Hotel.

Everything was immaculate and amazing--very much one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Highly recommend booking one of the pricier rooms overlooking the museum. The restaurant is phenominal. A really lovely experience all around.

I was there 3 years ago and the experience was great. That is why we came back with a extended family and also friends. Unfortunately the service is not the same; there is not concierge or they have not idea what a concierge means; we have problems with the air condition in the room and after much complains they gave us another room at midnight and we have to move by our self, our two 5 years old kids and the extra-beds. Nobody even care after that to send a note and apologies. This is not by any means a 5 stars hotel. the only thing that is the same is the view of course and the nice breakfast. also the service at breakfast is impeccable, at least!.

Had a standard room reservation. Large bed, big space in the bathroom. Quiet district. Well situated to walk towards the city center. Kindness and availability of the staff. Pleasant view from the terrace / restaurant on the 7th floor. The wi-fi access is very weak from within the room, in my case 5th floor.

Service levels are amazingly poor, we were given rooms without functioning a/c, switched several times to hot and humid rooms, and told that they did not have a technician available until the next week! We were then downgraded to a room without a view (against our request) because it was the only one available with a/C.

A late night drink on the roof terrace overlooking the Guggenheim. A stunning design hotel, with clean comfortable bedrooms. Excellent service, even arranged for hairdressing appointment - and was collected from the hotel. The cafe on the ground floor was very clinical in design and expensive for quite bland food.

Stayed two nites. Loved the large stylish room and bathroom. Included buffet breakfast had everything and served on the terrace overlooking Guggenheim was incredible, among best experiences of the 2-week Spain trip. Everyone in Bilbao friendly and helpful.

Staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel itself would appeal to anyone who has a taste for modern design and its location is also spot on - just opposite the Guggenheim museum, allowing easy pedestrian access to anywhere in the city centre.
