Silken Gran Hotel Havana    

The location of the hotel was really good and located not to far from the main strip of bars, cafes and shops, check in/out was fairly smooth and the receptionist was helpful

The decor in the bedrooms needed tidying up, for a 4 star hotel I didnt expect plug sockets to be loose of the wall, and the bed was uncomfortable and squeeked every time you turned over. Other than that lovely hotel.

The service at breakfasts was excellent and I liked food a lot, but in the evening, at supper, the menu is a bit short and not so much to choose.

We loved the Silken Gran Havana. Everything about our time there, from checking in to checking out, was perfect. The staff is so pleasant and accomodating and our room was fabulous. Bed comfortable and we enjoyed being on the front of the building with a french door and balcony overlooking the street. The little bar in the lobby was a great place to relax with a drink after a long day of sight seeing. Hope we can come back to Barcelona and the Silken one day in the future.

Hotel is located central, excellent staff, rooms are clean and with the right size! For the price wie payed we got excellence value. Bar with great joice of Gin Tonic's!

At this stay our room was located directly to noicy street "Gan Via"

Location, not to far from anything at all. Roof top pool, bistro and sauna were a really nice touch with amazing views.

Quite business like hotel, not so intimate

Great size of rooms. The bathroom was elegant and clean. It had mirrors everywhere. It was well maintained and the cost was at a very reasonable price.

The hotel is a good standard centrally positioned hotel.

Apart from the reception service which was great, the restaurant staff at breakfast were curiously unaware of what guests were doing, clearing away people's meals and newspapers when they had merely gone to get to a drink, and producing pots of tea and coffee on tables where they had mistakenly assumed people had chosen to sit. I can only put this down to boredom which is a shame because otherwise the hotel was fine. The internet connection in the bedroom was unreliable.

Traffic. Doors that needed oiling. No where to hang coats. Small room for five days stay. Because booked on Internet the price of the room varied every day.

Staff at reception was available 24/7 and they were helpful with all my requests (questions, room type change, etc.). live jazz in the lobby on Fri night. Rooftop pool availability. Comfortable bed. Sound isolation was ok, not perfect, but ok. Had great smart deal on booking.com.

It is not the hotel you'll fall in love with. Also parking exit is quite steep. Not huge cons for me though.

GREAT value! On site parking, expansive breakfast for two and a a large comfortable king room for E155 per night. Location was great for us - short walk to Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas.

The Hotels proximity to all the sights of Barcelona. Most of them walkable. Close to metro, airport bus etc, front desk very hrlpful.

Reception was great, and dealt with all my requests professionally with smiles. The location was pretty good, and only a short walk to Catalunya Square. Room wasn't huge, but was more than enough for the weekend, bathroom was a good size and the bed was very comfortable!

Booked without breakfast and was offered a 'deal' of 40 euros for the 2 mornings I was there....not much of a deal in my opinion. That aside, absolutely no complaints!

The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was well worth having, a good range of food for everyone. The rooms were very comfortable. Great location.

Our room was at the front and we could hear the road outside but that was compensated for by the outlook. The Sauna was on the roof terrace but the showers up there were cold and in Feb you had to dash from the changing room into the Sauna room! In the warmer weather this would not have been a problem!

The views from the terrace were absolutely spectacular. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location - very close to Passeig de Gracia and walking distance to Barri Gotic. Lots of nice restaurants, bars and cafes close by.
