Reception staff was not friendly
Ease of getting to the main shopping area and bus station from the hotel. Breakfast choice was good.
Tea making facilities in room but no coffee available, had to buy some from supermarket opposite
All of the staff and the accommodation was first class
Could do with coffee in the room and more tea bags
Location is excellent, only 700m or 5 min walk from Placa de Catalunya, thats where the bus stops from airport and all the shops are.Hotel is realy nice and we had superior double room with a big bed, that could fit easily 4 persons, really nice and comfi.there is a small local shop just in front of a hotel where you can get cheap vine, spirits and snacks so you dont need to use your room mini bar wich is overpriced.
The highlight for us was the free expresso machine outside our room and free pastries everyday! The shower was fantastic.
The bed was very comfortable however the pillows were impossible to get settled on. We didn't bother asking for new ones although I'm sure the staff would have immediately changed them had we asked.
Great location. Quiet and comfortable. I was a solo traveller so I enjoyed the security. Good breakfast. Great coffee and service. Room good size, bed a little soft when sitting on edges but I slept well. Wonderful balcony views. Right near a supermarket.
The location was brilliant for what we wanted. We enjoyed the walks around the city finding our way to bars and restaurants plus the general sightseeing. Barcelona is a beautiful city.
The toaster could do with being replaced by a rotory style as it takes a while to brown toast.
location is good.
Anything in the room is not free.
Hotel, style and decor. Location good, handy for shops and restaurants.
Weather a bit cold, unfortunately can't do anything about that.
I loved hotel we stay for 2 nights. Location is amazing just 10min walk from Sagrada Família and from down town. Breakfast was amazing and dinner too. Staff on front desk very helpful. Dining room staff super funny and really nice. Over all amazing hotel and all my pluses
Nothings everything was OK.
Great position in the city. Taxi stand just outside. Close to lots of good restaurants. Good breakfast buffet. Very clean Hotel, cleaned efficiently without fuss.
Restaurant menu limited and did not change during our stay so we used other restaurants in area, spoilt for choice with the selection for these.
Great room size, locations. Breakfast is a must. Child friendly hotel.
shower not working well.
Small room/ decoration/ excpensive parking
Friendly staff, good design and facilities. My room was located on 5th floor with free coffee and crossaints, fruits (as a feature).
Noisy street even when you close the window
Good location. Clean, modern room.
- Very central location - Great service - Comfortable, large room
- Room was very dark. - Bathroom/room fittings were dated and not very well maintained. - TV was quite fuzzy.
Most of the facilities in the hotel
Loved the hotel location, a nice gentle stroll to Playa De Catalunya and Passeig De Gracia. The bed was really comfortable and huge. We didn't eat in the hotel as we wanted to get out and about and see as much as possible in the short time we had. Staff were really friendly and helpful and we would definitely consider using the hotel if we ever revisit Barcelona.
Location, servi ed, cleanliness, breakfast
Bed, the mattress was really bad and sloped
You can walk to all the needed places. The staff is really friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is good and the location is excellent as it is a walking distance from the most active part of the city. I would stay again in this hotel if the staff were a little nicer
The hotel should have a king size bed. When I was there they had two twin beds next to each other and they moved a part easily. Also, the staff rarely smiled and they were always upset.
Excellent staff, always responsive to our needs. The location is great, just three blocks from Paseo de Gracia, without the hustle of the big avenue. Our room - an Atrium room - had a small living-room separate from the bedroom. It felt like a small suite: more room and more privacy for the traveler who was sleeping. All in all, a very good hotel. We spent 14 nights in the hotel and we really enjoyed it. The rooftop terrace remained open definitely until after midnight or perhaps longer, allowing us to benefit from the fabulous views of Barcelona at night. Many thanks to the front desk staff, who were always so very helpful.
Bed mattress should be changed now. Their useful life has come to an end since we could hear the springs squeaking when we sat down on the bed.
I had requested an extra early check in not really expecting to get it. They had it! The room was everything I expected with a balcony overlooking the Corts Catalans. The breakfast buffet is not included in the price of the room but worth the price of the special they were running that weekend. The food at dinner time was above average and we noticed locals coming in to eat on a Sunday night. Good sign. Staff was really accommodating and attentive. Hotel is in a great location and taxi stand right outside very convenient. Highly recommend this hotel. Would stay again.
The room was exceptional. ..so spacious and with a very comfortable bed. Building is also gorgeous with the stunning balconies
Expensive breakfast that was extra to the room price
I think the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We got an offer and paid about 90 euros / night. That was a fair price, otherwise we would have not stayed at Silken. The location is great. You have a 10 min (maximum) walk to La Rambla and to Placa Catalunya. I wouldn't have liked to stay in dead center because it is noisy and crowded, therefore I consider Silken Hotel to have had the perfect location. There is a supermarket across the street (a small one), but others nearby, cafes, restaurants within walking distance, an ATM machine within 20m or so... And you can easily go shopping on Passeig de Gracia (I think that's how it is called which is only 450 m away according to Google Maps).
The breakfast was pretty expensive, 19 euros if I recall well, which made us decide buy food from the supermarket. Otherwise, it is always nice to have breakfast at the hotel...
