The hotel, recently renovated, takes its name from the traditional district of Indautxu in the heart of the city´s commercial and financial area. Only ten minutes on foot from the Guggenheim Museum, Euskalduna´s Conference Hall and other places of interest like the Fine Arts Museum, the Maritime Museum or Calatrava´s Bridge.

The building that houses the Hotel Indautxu, with its fine exterior in the Bilbaino style and totally renovated interior, is just one example of that blending of the traditional with the modern that so well defines the spirit of this vibrant city.

International travellers will enjoy a warm and friendly welcome from the multilingual staff that strives to make the hotel an ideal base for exploring the city’s attractions.

“EL Muelle” Bar: Our bar, modelled on the famous English clubs, also offers good cocktails and “combinados” and special performances at Weekends.

“Indautxu” Cafeteria: If you are looking for an informal meal, try the menu of the day or our tasty traditional “pintxos” (kebabs). The Indautxu cafe is open all day up to ten in the evening ( 12 midnight at Weekends).

Ëtxaniz" Restaurant: Our restaurant specialises in Basque cuisine which is internationally well-known and praised.
The exquisite dishes offered by traditional basque cuisine are made in a simple way and with high quality raw materials cooking. On the menu you will find innovative and creative dishes.

The hotel is just 15 minutes walk from the Fine Arts Museum, Calatrava bridge and Bilbao’s stunning Guggenheim Museum. The Universidad de Deusto is just a 20-minute stroll away. You can also easily visit Doña Casilda Park and the chic shops of the Manzana de Oro district.

The rooms were spacious, beds enormous and comfy with huge pillows and doonas. Carpets were clean (which is hard to find in Spain), the towels large, fresh and abundant, and the room pleasant to be in. The large window opened to the street, however there was little noise. About 10min on foot to the Guggenheim and close to great shopping, cafes etc. One of the better hotels we've stayed in Spain

Buffet breakfast a little expensive, however we weren't charged for our 3yr old. You can get a cooked breakfast in a cafe around the corner for under 5 euro. Very few restaurants offering more than tapas in close proximity to the hotel, though the ones that were close were very good

Great hotel. Very clean, we got a very good rate. Breakfast is amazing. Very well placed, not in the centre but not far away and very calm and nice.

The buffet breakfast. Very good room configuration for a family of 4.

Location not particularly convenient for sights and restaurants. Rooms a bit gloomy. No gym facilities - unusual in a hotel this size.

The staff at reception was very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. We got many good tips from the staff at reception. Also other staff in the hotel was very friendly. Breakfast was very good! Well located.

very helpful and fast hotel staff, even parked our car at garage

extra money on comfort room was not worth it as the luxury bathroom kit was nothing special - bath gel was empty, too. Shower head was always falling down as it could not be fixed any more. We should have taken breakfast instead comfort room for the same price.
