wifi internet was bad in the apartment
EVRYTHING WAS GOOD
the situation;so central size of the apartment, comfort of the bed, kitchen facilities
apartment facilities are very good
elevator to reach the apartment is very bad very old and small
This is a great upmarket location and even better for the price we got this at. Lots of shopping and dining options along Passeig de Gracia, easy to hail cabs and all the major bus tours have a stop right outside the hotel. It's lively and safe without the issue of pickpockets that's common in La Ramblas area. The premises are clean and smartly done up. Book ahead if you want the front facing apartments (view of Passeig de Gracia and Casa Batllo!) Another plus was having two full sized washrooms! Not mentioned in description but might be useful to know- there's a washer and dryer in the kitchen. The place has central AC and heating (needed in winter months! Don't be fooled by the sunny skies, winter nights are chilly in Barcelona)
The stairs leading to the reception area were unexpected and inconvenient since we had four large suitcases to carry and one family member with limited mobility (a short term disability). There's an elevator from the reception up to the apartments but its too narrow to be wheelchair accessible. We had a two bedroom apartment but the second bedroom with the twin beds was justttt about okay in size for two petite girls. It would be really uncomfortable for older children/adults/tall/medium to big built individuals. There's a sofa bed in the living room but that's not a real vacation then is it? The main bedroom is fine and of a good size.
Second bedroom small not really suitable for two adults. Kettle was only big enough for two cups of water at a time but kitchen was equipped for eight persons
Awsome location with taxis and bus route close by. The staff are good and the facilities modern, clean and neat. excellent place to stay
Even though it is self catering at least the trash should be taken out on a daily basis. Also every1 offers free wifi. This was a paid service which was dissappointing.
1minute from gracias metro, caffe in front of the apartment, great decoration, wonderful staff,
Nice appartment. Quiet. Good size
Bad Wifi for extra cost. Smells shots from the plumming
I asked for a bath and I got one Very clean and modern Excellent location
Nice room setup and ambien.
Lousy kitchen equipment and cause the power outage for numerous time. Bad smell from the center bathroom that cause awful feels.
The huge amount of space and the two amazing terraces
pillows were rubbish
The apartment and location is everything it said it was on the website. The apartments are situated in a very central location on the Passeig de Gracia with shops, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. Our apartment had a balcony with views overlooking the street and a short distance from Casa Battlo which is lit up at night. There is no housekeeping during your stay but we preferred this and happy to be left to our own devices. When we read previous reviews of Apartments Sixtyfour, there were several criticisms of the small lift for transferring bags etc however the lift is original and a real feature of the building and we found it fascinating and definitely a plus point. Overall we had a great stay (3 nights) and would definitely recommend to friends. Although check in time is 4pm, if you let them know when you will be arriving, someone will meet you to store your bags. We plan to be back again soon!
A few minor issues ( ie. only a small travel kettle provided) but we left a few ideas on comments form left in the apartment but certainly nothing that would prevent us from returning.
spacious, clean, light, well equipped, easy to get to from the airport, very convenient for metro
wifi slow and patchy, but luckily we didn't need it too much
Location, decor, cleanliness..everything.
Going home ...
Apartment manager was very helpful once he arrived for his work shift. We did not use Internet service since it was additional 8 euros a day. Should have been included in price since it was a pricey place to stay.
1. We couldn't check in until 4 pm. No one answered phone when we called from airport at 12 pm. Finally a worker from the hotel next door answered and was not very friendly. She stated she did not work at apartments, worked at hotel next door. Was unaware of a shuttle that was advertised on web site. When we arrived at apartments, no one was there and no one answered the phone. I called multiple times and finally same woman picked up and explained someone should come over from hotel to let us in to store our bags only until 4 pm. We returned at 4 pm and no one was there. I walked to hotel and reception called apartment manager who answered the door.
We were given an upgrade to a very large apartment and although it was on the ground floor next to the reception, it was huge, comfortable and so central.
Appartment with three bedrooms was generous with a lot of space and a private terrace.
The reception was located right beside of the appartment and some other guests made noise when arriving in the night time. In the second bathroom you could smell mold.
Perfect location, incredibly spacious apartment, great sleep quality, nice staff.
No free wi-fi, 8 euro/day; no cleaning service for 4 days!
Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Excellent and safe location with easy access to Metro and bus station to airport. Quiet apartment to relax after long day of sightseeing.
This was a great location cloe to a couple of Gaudi buildings and also a metro whilst being just a 10 minute stroll to Placa Cataluna. Although on a busy street it was still quiet. The staff were very helpful.
A small downside is that you are required to dispose of your own rubbish, however bins are only a short walk away. We. Suffered from several power cuts in the mornings but the staff were quick to rectify the problem.
The apartment was modern and with an excellent location. Nice view and with taxistation just outside the door, so you could get a cab very easily. The area is very nice with many luxury restaurants and shops like Chanel and Hermes. Food store only 800 meters from the hotel so it went fast to pick up fresh bread and other essentials.
Almost no restaurants have high chairs for kids in this area, so it was difficult to eat out here. If you have kids we recommend that you take a cav to a more touristic and cheap area. The elevator was a little bit small and our travel-baby push chair was unfortunaltely to big, so we had to carry it in the narrow stairs every time we were going out. The wifi was not working that well, but we got informed about it before, and it only cost us 8 euro a day, so it was really no problem. If you need an internet connection we strongly recommend that you go to an internet café.
As above..64 has a lot going for it.
Wifi lousy. For a small outlay by owners it could be dramatically improved. it is a narrow gutted building and wifi extenders would be very effective.
EVERYTHING!! the location, the facilities, the comfort, the cleanliness, the staff-everything was amazing and my husband and I will definitely be returning to Barcelona in 2016 and we would not stay anywhere else-this place just made our Barcelona experience perfect and that is no exageration. I would recommend Apartments Sixtyfour to everyone!!!
We loved everything!!!
