Hotel Bécquer is in Seville’s historic quarter and features a terrace overlooking the Giralda (bell tower) and Cathedral. It includes an outdoor pool, a snack-bar and a tapas bar on site.
Score from 2107 reviews Excellent
One of Spain's most prestigious hotels, Hotel Alfonso XIII is located next to Seville’s Real Alcazares. It offers an outdoor swimming pool, gym and a typical garden courtyard with fountain.
Score from 508 reviews Wonderful

wonderful hotel. Excellent facilities ie. Rooftop jacuzzi to ourselves. Really loved pampering myself with the Clarins products in the bathroom. The breakfast was first class.
should have requested an internal view room as the light in our room was quite dull
First class service and welcome Employees are great
Shower with no privacy Lobby furniture Difficult location to be found Interior decoration
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good.
The short bath with shower over and a fixed glass panel made it awkward for us, over seventies, to climb in and out. It would have been better to make it a large walk in shower. Not the management fault, poor design by the architect.
We did a 4 night stay at the hotel. This hotel was more than we expected. The room was extremely comfortable and contained everything we needed. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous and nothing was a problem for them. For a five star hotel there was no stuffiness associated with many such establishments. The facilities were outstanding and the attention to detail very impressive. The breakfasts were excellent and so too the food in the restaurant.
It is a struggle to find anything to complain about as if there was any problem the hotel dealt with it straight away. Our only criticism was that we could have done with a list of recommended restaurants from the hotel for customers to sample.
Pay extra for the Red level- great facilities & well worth the money.
Wifi is poor in the rooms, that's about it!!
Top quality staff Amazing rooms and decor Location right in the heart of the Old Town
Location was great. Lobby and room were modern and cheerful. Comfortable. A great place to go back to at the end of a day of sightseeing.
The aromatherapy - horrible fragrance in hallways!
Staff, food, private check-in
The staff were ALL very friendly, courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Reception was well furnished and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, modern and VERY clean, with a painting as the door. Breakfast and wifi were included. Restaurant food was good if a little expensive but as we had had cheap tapas at Duo de Mayo(highly recommended) we didn't mind the extravagance
Location Staff, concierge excellent!
Loud maid in early morning. On going issues with tv required multiple maintenance calls.
Most everything... The staff, apart from the patio staff, we're very customer focused and friendly. Great view from our room
Service on the patio from Miguel was terrible. The bar in the lobby was outrageously expensive. There wasn't anywhere to hang towels in the bathroom so they have to get changed everyday.
A luxurious haven in the centre of a hectic but stunning city. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are lovely, comfortable. Bar area lovely too. Extremely clean. Great location. You can walk everywhere.
Nothing to dislike really. The terrace was a little disappointing. Would have been nice to have more beds in the sunshine and a little pool instead of a jazuzzi.
only the wi fi was not working well
The facilities are ok
The housekeeping always forget to refill shower gel, shampoo... the hotel receptions are always occupied... the solarium has few seats for clients... only one massage girl working, never available... it is not expensive hotel , but I will never come back
Good amenities and helpful staff - but pricey breakfast if no special offer available (there was 2 for 1 with us if booked for whole stay).
Location Friendly staff Breakfast offer made it worthwhile but otherwise do not bother as expensive for what it is
Couple of maintenance issues that should have been resolved before arrival (fixed samed day).
The position of the hotel is ideal for all of the sights & shops
Friendly attentive staff who welcomed us as soon as we arrived. Red level service was perfect with very well stocked lounge. Location is excellent within walking distance of many tourist attractions such as Cathedral, Alcazar, Triana Bridge, Bullring. Enjoy the roof top jacuzzi after a day of sightseeing. Thank you to the hotel for acknowledging the special occasion which was the reason for our trip, this was a lovely touch. Would recommend Seville and hotel, ideal mini break.
Slightly irritating that the bathroom floor gets soaked after showering as the shower screen isn't long enough. Wifi dropped out in parts of the room but fine elsewhere.
jacuzzi was great ! staff were great !
a modern light switch that failed when trying to get to sleep so technician had to be called.
Location, friendly helpful staff, amenities, cleanliness, great breakfast, good recommendations for restaurants and shows. Lovely spacious and comfortable common areas. Great decor.
Hard to drive to, wish hotel had sent note about construction to warn us and give us alternate directions. Mattress a little hard.
Location great , excellent breakfast staff very helpfull wonderfull cocktails from bar
Gran Melia Colon is excellently located in the center, walking distance to the Seville old town, shopping areas, and even to Triana. The reception staff, especially Amanda Bambao, who is of Filipino descent, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the good restaurants and places to go. They also are well-versed in English and Spanish. The Burladero restaurant on the ground floor also had great food. As a couple, we had a grand time. Seville is one of our favorite cities in Spain, and is worth a visit. Gran Melia Colon is highly recommended to be your home in this city.
