Score from 917 reviews Wonderful
The staff were efficient and polite. The classic bedroom was well decorated and spotlessly clean. And the breakfast buffet was amazing!
I would have preferred the cleaner to come later in the day and the water to be hotter late at night, but it didn't impede my enjoyment of the experience.
Free wi-fi, location, approachable and kind staff, housekeeping
nothing in particular, the hotel is just fine
Friendly staff. Clean and good price
The lift was very agressive and almost lost connection with my arm on several ocaissions
The location is amazing. The rooms are small and a bit run down, but clean and everything you need. Breakfast is varied and staff at breakfast are super helpful and friendly.
I stayed at this hotel a few times. Reception is extremely slow, and for the bigger part unfriendly. (with the exception of one or two employees). On my last trip the reception desk clerk, when confirming my reservation, which I questioned the room - told me literally I am a liar and that he believes his system. I told him I can show him the booking, but my mobile phone is dead. I asked to see the manager on duty. The manager extremely freindly told me again she wanted to see my reservation - and I again repeated my mobile phone is dead - she didnt offer me the room I said I booked instead she said "Take this room and if you find the booking - come down". I would expect management to give guest the benefit of the doubt especially since its the fourth stay at the hotel. At check out I showed them my original reservation . The reception clerk apologised and promised that someone will come back to me . Melia Galogos did and the client relationship manager apologised again and offered me a better deal and upgrade on my next stay. Mistakes happen, and the apology seemed sincere- so I was willing to give them another try but instead of discounting my next stay they quoted me €20 more per night than the rate on Bookings.com. Making their apology rather insincere, and rather insulting.
Hotel within 15 min walking distance of all the attractions.Service and breakfast excellent, would highly recommend this hotel.
Location was wonderful.
Older front desk staff were a bit surly and unhelpful. The younger staff members were cheerful and helpful. May be a good idea to replace some older staff, especially the short, portly gentleman with a larger belly who checked us in.
good location nice room clean room nice sauna and gym.
food in the hotel is not in the best taste. breakfasts were all the time the same - i stayed 12 nights.
This is the only hotel I stayed at in Madrid that offers such a large and good breakfast buffet. It was also included in the price. Comared to other hotels I stayed in Madrid, this is the best value for money.
Food in the restarant room decoration and facilities
long time waiting for booking to be found on the system (more than 20 min.! after full day of flights, work, etc.)
Staff at breakfast, why the long faces?? Otherwise good hot and cold options.
Nice an comfortable hotel, very well located for Business in Madrid, walking distance from everything.
Being charged for Internet
Friendly, hardworking and very very honest staff Very very silent room, excellent for comfort and studying Very good quality food Excellent housekeeping
Clean but very old carpet, one or two English channels on TV out of more than 50 channels.
air conditioning does not cool room. Fan control is not work.
I was in a good sense surprised with a variety and quality of food offered at the breakfast. Even though my single room was super small, it had everything I needed. Also, a bed was extremely comfortable.
Even though I asked for a non smoking room, I've got one with a distinct smell of smoke.
The breakfast offered good option of food of all sorts. The room was clean.
The room did not have a window facing direct outer space. It headed into a emergency exit aisle.
The location is perfect. It is in barrrio de Salamanca, close to business, restaurants and Corte Ingles.
Waiters in the restaurant at breakfast really bad educated. they seem to be angry to work for the hotel. My room was 501, the carpet was dirty. It has to be refurbished.
Amazing breakfast! It has everything that anybody could just hope for. Good air conditioner.
Wifi was quite slow in the room.
The renovated floor is excellent!
Staff was very helpfull. They changed my room immediately after my request.
Noisy guests after midnight. Avoid the rooms near to the lift.
Good location. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.
work / noise in / around the hotel.
Recently renewed hotel, bedrooms are nice and comfortable.
Walls are quite thin, you can hear almost everything that happens in the hotel.
