The Melia Girona Hotel is strategically located in the city's commercial district with easy acces to the A7 motorway ,just 10 Km from the airport and 15 min. from the Jewish district. Next to the train station, it is the ideal starting point for those who wish to discover all the tourist attractions of the Ampurdan and the Costa Brava, as well as those who visit the city on business trips. Close to the monumental city center, the Jewish Quarter, Art Museum, Archaeological Museum, Cathedral and Arab Baths. 10 minutes from the Banyoles Lake. 20 minutes from the Romanesque village of Besalú and half an hour from the Salvador Dalí Museum.

The breakfast was great. There was so much choice. The bar snacks and drinks were very reasonably priced. The Hotel was very clean and surprisingly quiet.

There were no outside seating areas.

the staff were really helpful, when we asked for directions to a bar in the town, the receptionist looked up it's location on the internet, showed us on a map and rang us a taxi. he was very helpful, all the staff had excellent english also.

Comfortable room, spacious and tastefully decorated. The Fitness Centre is a plus.

Yes the TV - it is sadly assumed that people want to watch television that is seriously immoral (pay to view) in the rooms, and this is really a root of too many serious addictive problems for individuals and families in society today. Best avoided. Automatically blocking, or better fully scrapping these channels would make it much much better for sure.

Nice big bed and clean room,great breakfast selection,the jacuzzi(though that could have been warmer)

air conditioning in the room was not working,when we phoned we reception we were told they knew and not to use it.Not really the response we were looking for.We were almost charged for breakfast as the reception staff couldn't see where our booking included breakfast,thankfully they spotted the line on the booking form before we left and cancelled the charge

Breakfast was superb. Rooms big and comfortable.

1 When we arrived, it was impossible to get into the carpark as there were long queues for the public car park whaich has a shared access road.In fairness however we did arrive on a very busy day. 2 The food in the restaurant was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful, but their lack of training/experience showed bearing in mind this hotel has 4 stars. But it did not detract from a very enjoyable dinner 2

The Privacy also the staff were most helpful! The food in the Dining Room was first class. an excellent Chef.

The Mini Bar did not have Gin or Brandy.Small complaint!
