no mosquito net,
Had a great 3 nite stop the hotel was clean, modern and very well situated to visit all the attractions.
the staff was awfull (2 chewing gum ladies) at checking in, and it took more than 45 minutes, "nice" after a long drive. Some problems with the rooms were only booked for 1 persons and that it was not allowed to have 2 people in the room. extra cost of 22 Euro and 14 euro for breakfast, BUT it was still the same room. Never again. No service at all, only the guy who did the check out. perfect.
Nice guy's in the desk. Good room, clean
wifi signal was too small.. couldn't work internet at 114...
It was a roof over your head
No good wifi, bad service, location was not safe or good, had a terrible odor, and I do not recommend this a place to stay.
The location, and the air conditioning, which was just about the only thing that worked in the room.
I don't understand how that horrible hotel could ever get 4 stars. Facilities were highly deficient, the bathroom sink was clogged, wi fi never worked, the balcony door didn't shut properly, staff were edgy, the whole building was full of mosquitoes... The list is endless. I've stayed in 2 star hotels that were far better.
Very unfriendly staff especially at breakfast. Air condition was not working, there was no wifi at the room. Do not go to this hotel. This was the worst hotel that I ve been ever!!
I booked this hotel as I was due to go away on a holiday and had some buisness to do at the same time. I don't normally read reviews, but after I booked it I saw there was a lot of bad ones, and thought I had let myself in for a big surprise, but I wasn't. The reception area when I walked in was really nice and modern, only two receptionists so there was a small que to get checked-in but apart from that it was good. Got into my room to see it was nice and clean and spacious, there was a smell of sewerage around but after living in Spain for a certain amount of years it's a normal thing. Food wise I didn't order anything from the Hotel as there is a shopping centre not far away, about a 15 minute walk, with a vast variety of food places. Metro station is not to far away either, you can use the Europa Fira or Gornal, and they both get you to Plaza España, it may take time to understand the metro though! All in all it was a nice 5 day stay at Solvasa, good value for money so can't complain.
Acctualy - nothing
Our room smelled like sever - when we asked to change it - we were told that they are fully booked, they brought some shity perfume machine that smelled not better. Breakfast is horrible - they charge 14 euro for instant coffee, croissant and tasteless ham. Wifi in the rooms works only on computer (phones wifi device is not do powerful) and still it is not worth to call him self internet. My suggestion - avoid this hotel if you can.
best staff i met, hotel all over is good for business trip as it is near to Fira Barcelona. if your conference in hall 8 of fira Barcelona you will feel that the hall is far away from hotel.
Wifi hadn't any signal in room
Nice interiors, good location on the way from the city center to the airport.
Bad smell in the corridor.
I liked the location, very close to the Fira and the room was quite large and nice.
Breakfast was horrible and expensive, could not get a fresh coffee or orange juice. Also, I took hours to understand how the shower worked and water was running out of the bath.
Very helpful staff, clean and smart room, a nice bar. Good location and good value for money.
The room safe stopped working after a day. No furniture on balcony so no point using it, wifi quite unreliable on my phone. Fresh coffee would have been nice at breakfast, the stuff from the machine wasn't very good. Also the gym was not well advertised on the website- if i'd known I would have brought my gym gear so I could use it. Overall a very good experience, just a few points would have made it excellent.
The staff were polite, able to speak English fluently, gave me directions properly to the places I needed to go and provided a map to use public transport. The breakfast buffet was good, reasonable variety and excellent serving staff.
There is a 99 cents tax that they take at the time of settling the final bill. It is a small amount, but this should be displayed as if you have a prepaid bill then it is a surprise.
The person in the reception charged me drinks that I've never drunk. The room was not so clean and it was far away from the city center.
The Hotel and room were really OK. Friendly staff.
WiFi was a desater.
Great location, nice building, staff speaks English
One of two rented rooms had strange mildew smell and mosquitoes
Perfect location - easy to get to from the airport, and it only cost 2 Euros each way. Near a supermarket (within 10 minutes walk), which is also next to the Metro station - making the daily trip into the centre and back very simple, and our food for the day very cheap. The journey from the Hotel to the city centre takes about half an hour or less, and us VERY easy! (I think there may even be buses from near the hotel, but we went on the Metro). There is an IKEA and shopping mall also within five minutes walk - where there are restaurants such as KFC, McDonalds, a Chinese restaurant etc. Staff very welcoming and go out of their way to help and talk to you. The bed is HUGE! Very comfortable too. A lovely room - cleaned every day and spotless when we got back. The breakfast was god quality in general, once we learned the best way to do it to our liking. We managed to "cheat" to make a decent cup of tea using glasses. All in all - a very pleasant stay, and we will definitely recommend, and will return if we get the opportunity in the future. Wonderful - thank you!
The hotel and surrounding area is actually rather smelly - I think there may be a sewage problem going on. At first, I thought it was the bathroom - but its the hotel and surroundings in general. This was rather unpleasant, but, I WOULD definitely recommend the hotel and will definitely go again. Whilst the food was good, I believe more effort could have been put into making the breakfast fresher. The bread rolls were like rock cakes. The hot chocolate is vile. The milk - is fine from the jug, but like water from the machine.
the location was good
the staff were very unhelpful. the breakfast was not good. The tea was very cold and when asked for hot water was told this is hot enough. The eggs seemed to have been made some times ago and when asked for fresh eggs was told fresh eggs will be made when these eggs have finished. not a way to run a hotel.
Atitude and slow reaction in problemsituations
Friendly staff with fairly good knowledge of English. Rooms were rather sparse but comfortable beds.
The airport shuttle advertised was stopped in May 2013 after we had booked on the expectation of this service.
while out of the main area - was convenient to public transport which encouraged us to walk more than we usually would. By the end of our 3 night stay we knew how to get around with ease. BUS H12 from virtually next to this hotel runs to PLACA de ESPANA WHICH IS THE MAIN LOCAL HUB FOR ALL TRANSPORT [4 mins ride]. The AIRPORT was a mere 12 mins journey around 22 euros.
Thank heavens the FRONT DESK had one lady that spoke ENGLISH - NO others understood very much at all - not even basic numbers or even hand language.
