Breakfasts were poor and the beds were hard. Beach towels would have been great
Ideal for a short stop over, perfect location to explore javea. Large spacious family room and clean. Good wifi connection. Friendly receptionist.
Rooms a bit sparse and could do with updating.
Excellent location by sea.
No mirror in bedroom only one in bathroom
location staff helpful breakfast ok value for money
rooms need decorating and new towels
Great location and staff very helpful and firendly
The hotel is dated and needs a refurbish the bedrooms were dark and the bathrooms in need of some attention. The price for the room was very expensive given the level of comfort. Breakfast is an afterthought and very little choice is provided.
Good location parking if you got a bay.
No hair dryer no english news on tv.
Location, WIFI and some TV programmes in English
Very tired Hotel, basic accommodation in need of refurb but finding out that the Hotel is up for sale explains the lack of investment
Right in front of sea-what a view Bedrooms basic but comfortable and clean Staff excellent.
was a bit basic
No in room security safe
This makes 5 visits I have made to this hotel,so I think that answers this question.
The cockoraches and dirty room , shower not working.
The cockoraches, dirty room.
Lounge area was poorly furnished
nice quiet hotel within walking distance of the main facilities.
limited parking on site.
Great location across the road from the sea, car parking available. We were travelling with two dogs, at the rear of the hotel is a small courtyard, surrounded by ten rooms all of which are dog friendly, dogs are not allowed in the rooms in the main body of the hotel. Very pleasant staff, will stay again, great value for money..
The rooms are very basic and could do with some refurbishment, the bathroom door and one of the wardrobe doors had a fist hole, which had not been repaired.
The location was the only good thing about this hotel
Definitely the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.We stayed in a room on the ground floor which we were convinced were the staff quarters! The room was in a very bad state of repair. Cracks in the ceiling above the bed, bed creaked terribly, every-time we moved, marks on the wall and dents in the wall. Fridge not working. Smallest TV we have ever seen, couldn't read anything on the screen. Bathroom must have had leak in ceiling which had stained polystyrene tiles which were loose on ceiling. Towels so thin, like dish cloths and grey. Worst of all, semen stains and blood stains on sheets, which we only saw in the morning when we pulled the bed clothes back, Yuk!
i reported a leaking shower from first day of arrival, not dealt with as it made a noise, not happy ,by rights we should have some money back
Excellent location close to the sea Nice host couple take good care of guest´s
Aircon not providing cooling due to season ( April 2014 ) Breakfast quite basic - but ok ( 6 Euro ) The hotel is old and rooms not fancy - but the location makes up for that ..
Solymar Hotel is right on the seafront overlooking the bay. Car park small but extra parking on beach.
The room was the worst I have ever stayed in. The decor alone would give you nightmares. The television (which did'nt work) was minute and positioned so far up the wall would have been unwatchable anyway. The twin beds are campbed style and creaked. There was a void where there had been a small fridge. The bathroom had a rusty bath, no extractor, half a toilet roll and small thin grey towels. Only stay here if you are desperate.
Staff could not have been nicer Great location
Overlooks the sea, a medium sized hotel keeping a personal touch.
Nothing comes to mind
dirty room with cockroaches
The location is excellent. The Hotel represents good value for money. The towels may not be the fluffiest but the standard of cleanliness is good. It is an old style Spanish hotel, the staff are really friendly. Their English may not be perfect but it is far superior to my Spanish. If you want a value for money comfortable hotel stay here. If you want all the facilities of a modern hotel then pay three times the amount and stay in one.
Other reviewers concentration on the blemishes. The Management of the Hotel accept that certain aspects need modernisation but my wife and I had similar observations about a Melia Hotel on Mallorca that we visited last year, and had paid considerably more to stay there.
the owners very nice and friendly
the breakfast bar was poor. rather stale and uninteresting but they did not charge me for breakfast even tho I did not complain....
staff and location
no english tv
