A designer hotel in the center of Seville, a 10-minute walk from the Giralda Tower and Seville Cathedral, Gran Meliá Colón features free Wi-Fi and a rooftop terrace with hot tub.
Score from 395 reviews Excellent
The stylish EME catedral is next to Seville Cathedral. It features a rooftop swimming pool and bar with views of the city. The hotel has free Wi-Fi and a spa.
Score from 750 reviews Excellent
Built around a courtyard, this luxurious hotel is in a restored 19th-century mansion beside Seville Cathedral in the Santa Cruz district.
Score from 443 reviews Wonderful
Hotel Bécquer is in Seville’s historic quarter and features a terrace overlooking the Giralda (bell tower) and Cathedral. It includes an outdoor pool, a snack-bar and a tapas bar on site.
Score from 2007 reviews Excellent
Nice hotel with a very efficient and attentive staff. Excellent location to explore Seville from. We ate in two of the restaurants for dinner and enjoyed the food.
Lack of free wifi.
Beautiful room, very quiet and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Splendid pool area. Terrific location. The staff at breakfast were extremely helpful and friendly. The refurb has been done very nicely - everything works perfectly.
We found the reception staff a little cool and distant, not helped by the high desk behind which they hide. There is a new outside restaurant area near the pool which has reduced the amount of space for sun loungers.
The pool area The wonderful historic building The location to sites of Seville The rooms The reaction rooms
Facilities, location, service and an excellent buffet breakfast
Can't fault hotel , best bed , pillows so comfortable, very relaxed but still class act
Did not have long enough
Very luxurious with excellent facilities and a perfect location between the river and the cathedral
Staff, bars, restaurants, changed land and stayed extra night , lovely hotel
The rooms are huge. The beds are comfortable. The courtyard restaurant is beautiful. The hotel is a perfect blend of modern and historic, Andalusian and luxury.
The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and no staff members offered any directions to guests. They claim to be an English and Spanish language hotel but very few of the staff speaks English and those that do speak it marginally at best. When asked about tours, the concierge only offered one large group option; at a luxury hotel you expect multiple options including a private car and tour guide. I felt unsafe walking in the area around the hotel at night. The water pressure in the shower was less than ideal.
Great location . Beautiful building. Great pool bar, main restaurant . Ena by Carles Alleban ... amazing food and ambience. Thursday nights on the terrace with a great looking impeccably turned out local crowd.
Plastic curtains in a 5 star hotel? A bath towel with a big rip in it! A toilet that didn't flush easily. Surprisingly disappointing breakfast where the hot food was concerned. Green beans, peas, fried rice? Scrambled eggs swimming in milk! Get a decent coffee making machine. Otherwise a good selection.
Absolute 5-star luxury heaven!
design hotel tropical garden pool breakfast buffet table is good
a la carte food, little offer, slowly restaurant service, long wating for food
- building architecture and decorations - price/quality ratio - room design
- quality of breackfast food - staff: level of english skills, lack of proactiveness
Location, restaurant, atmosphere.
The bathroom could be arranged with more meanigful purpose - plenty of space wasted.
History and arquitecture
Staff doesn't seem at the right level. I had to wait till 15h45 to have my room ready. A little bit overpriced.
Location is perfect.
Very small outside poor and sauna.
I like the location, breakfast, style
They give us a two noisy room, next to the cleaning room. The cleaning people made noise in the morning and afternoon. They said that they upgrade us to bigger room but they gave us those two rooms on the first floor, street view and the balcony was on the entrance where people drop their car to the valet, car noises, and the second story guests with small kids, running all the time. Almost impossible to sleep or rest in the afternoon either by them or the cleaning ladies.
Central location, opulent surroundings, excellent pool, and dinning at San Fernando restaurant is a romantic must durning your stay.
Fantastic location Incredibly comfortable beds Comfortable rooms Great breakfast in lovely courtyard Not full of business people
Quite a lot of loud Americans
Restrained elegance of a by gone era, but with all modern facilities. This is a superb hotel in a beautiful city.
They were a bit slow to bring the bill in restaurants. Would have liked more Vegetarian food options on the menus
Beautiful comfortable room excellent staff fantastic location
finding it by car
1. The grand, luxurious design of the interior, public spaces and its history. 2. The pool. 3. Complimentary, unexpected birthday cava and cake. 4. Comfortable beds and linen. 5. The restaurant food and service.
1. No liveried doorman 24-7. 2. NOISY rooms and often throughout. 3. Piped music, seemingly 24-7, truly awful, inappropriate to the grandeur, cheapening the whole experience. 4. Lack of carpets and sound proofing made the room very noisy, especially when the maids were cleaning adjoining rooms and when adjacent guests were having conversations. Given the cost and market placement of the hotel this REALLY needs sorting out. 5. Thursday evenings are awful if you want a quiet, relaxing drink. 6. The pianist's choice of tunes was almost always inappropriately intrusive. 7. Piped music, Thursday evening terrace picnic party, pianist and music for a function for the Peruvian Consul all at once and wailing children in the American Bar were not conducive to the experience we had looked forward to. 8. Children in the bar. 9. Children running riot in the lobby, no member of staff pointing out that this was inappropriate. 10. Unable to have cocktails in a peaceful comfortable area of the gardens or terrace in the evening. 11. Lack of glamour and design around the pool, loungers and parasols were all rather basic. 12. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. 13. Shower head was too close to the wall so one had to lean into the wall to get under it. 14. Complimentary wi-fi was slow. 15. TV channels were limited to news channels. 16. Dress-code needs to match Claridge's, London and be more strictly enforced, at least in the evenings and over dinner. 17. Lighting in the American Bar needs softening. 18. Lack of scented candles throughout the hotel. 19. Lack of grand 'Alfonse XIII' branding on everything along the Ritz model. 20. Modern console tables in the corridors. Grande Dame antiques throughout please. In an institution like this we want to step back into a bygone era and escape the hoi polloi.
The room was fantastic, great size and very clean. Had a lovely view out of the pool side and garden. We stayed in a Grand deluxe room and can highly recommend the bit extra for this, and the breakfast is a must. Everything you can imagine available plus cava. Staff were excellent; in the restaurant, front of house and concierge gave great advice on restaurants and bars and the pool side waiters were really attentive
Nothing at all, it was genuinely perfect
The superb breakfast buffet. the beautiful Hotel and pool etc. Lovely Lebanese restaurant.
On the expensive side and I would like to see free water by the poolside all day. Poor lunch time menu by the pool.
We are just back from a four night stay in the Alfonso. We couldn't recommend the hotel highly enough. The hotel itself is amazing. The rooms are beautiful, very comfortable etc. It was my boyfriends birthday during our stay. On the day of his birthday, the hotel delivered a bottle of champagne and birthday cake to our room. This was a complete surprise gesture from the hotel. The staff are really helpful. All in all, we can't wait to return.
