It's a clean, sober business hotel, nothing more, nothing less

Breakfast : only hard boiled eggs and a limited choice of meat and cheese, no fresh orange juice, toaster defective for at least 4 days...

The attention was superb as well as the breakfast. The room was outstanding and the advice given by Diana, the concierge, about the city was amazing. She did the reservation for a restaurant in downtown for us and for the time that I wanted. I highly recommend this hotel. Me and my family took the train to go around the city and was the best choice ever made.

I have a SUV, Ford Edge '09 and the space for the parking area is so small that I almost got stuck going down the ramp. I suggest you to try to find a bigger parking spot outside the hotel. Nothing else.

Clean, tidy hotel with an amazing breakfast selection and polite, helpful staff. Train station was literally a minute walk away.

Hotel offers free wifi but the signal was terrible and I had to get to the lobby to be able to work on my laptop.

Very close to the metro station (about 100m), close enough to city centre (15-30 minutes, depending on what you consider its centre), nice cosmetics, nice staff

1) Thin walls, 2) Suprisingly noisy street - parking of motocycles is right under the windows and you can't really open window in case you want to do it, 3) Very poor Wi-Fi in the room - to upload the page you should leave your room and stand by the lifts to catch the signal$))), 4) Very poor and expensive breakfast - you can find cheaper and better one in almost every cafe from situated close to the hotel and even in some of those that are situated in the very heart of the city

The room was really nice and very modern. It is in a safe neighborhood and close to the El Putxet subway station which was real good. A pharmacy and convience store across the street which REALLY came in handy. The staff were nice and helpful as much as possible.

The wi-fi was horrible! I would have paid more money to be closer to the city with good wi-fi because the street in front of the hotel is loud in the morning anyway.

Our request at booking to have rooms together was met and the reception staff were helpful with directions and arranged a cab back to the airport.Quiet in the rooms at the back where we were which was what we asked for.

Rails in the bathroom to get out of the shower. My husband slipped and banged his knee trying to get out leaving him a big bruise. Otherwise no other issues.

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Good choice of cooked Breakfast, which was tasty, and freshly prepared by request!

Location - not easy to find. Dining area adjoining reception was not ideal: Preference would be to have a separated dining area.

We were looking for a quiet comfortable friendly hotel a little bit away from the action, so we could come back & rest up well ... This hotel ticked all those box's, being close to the metro which took 5 stops (about 10 minutes) to get to La Ramblas, which leads to most everything else ... Small & discrete with polite & friendly staff...

Being british, a tea making facility would have been nice ....

It was convenient for us as we were visiting our son who lives nearby. It is close to two metro's, Putxet and Lesseps on different lines giving good access to Barcelona without changing trains

Morning staff were excellent and the breakfast service particularly good.

Poor welcome. When asked to make a change to the room assigned the receptionist said "That's annoying!". The car park is a nightmare to use because of tight corners and extremely small spaces and they charged 18 euros per day for it. No decent tapas bars, restaurants or cafés within walking distance.

Great position! Rooms clean and quiet (almost on the back side) Good staff and services!

WiFi not so smart Bed too hard

The hotel was in very good location,just 8 minutes of the Placa de Catalunya by metro, the staff friendly and speak english, the room very elegant. I suggest it. If i go again to Barcelona it will be my first choice.

The room smell smoke of cigarette from the time we arrived.

Location was great, not in the center, but very close to El Putxet metro station that has direct acces to Plaxa Catalunya! Staff was great, very helpful! The hotel is located in a very safe and quiet neighborhood! I strongly recommend

Close to Tmb station, modern design, nice room and staff

The conditions of the hotel was good and it was clean. I would recommend it for people that want a cheap but good hotel.

The only thing I didnt like is that the reception called us a 3 am just to see why the smoke detector was not working (we were sleeping)

We stayed in the hotel for 5 night. The hotel is not in the center but easy to get to with a short metro trip. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood, not much to do around the hotel, but their is a few littel shops, bakery and 2 restarans. Our room was on the 5 flor so we had a quite nighs.

First of all the wifi is very bad, the tv have only 1 chanel in English. The pillow was not comfortable , it is just to big for a normal person, the water temperatur in the shower changed every 2 min, so it was to hot or to cold! The toilet paper was not a good quality

Very good,clean room with big bad and bathroom.. Friendly stuff. Let us store our baggage before departure.Hotel stay not far from Park guel and metro station. If I will go to Barsa again, I will stay there.

The staff at reception were kind, polite, helpful and patient (special mention to Oscar). Room was very clean, spacious and the air-conditioning was a welcome at the end of every hot day. Loved the wide double bed and rooms were tidied daily.

Can't think of anything not to like about the Silen Sant Gervais itself. It is a bit outside the main centre of Barcelona but there is excellent bus and metro services.

2 out of three Reception staff unhelpful and not very friendly. Initial welcome non existent. Internet coverage very patch. Breakfast very overpriced when compared with local padarias. No shower caps in bathroom kit. No shower mat in bath.

The rooms are very attractive, modern yet warm. Excellent marble bathrooms. My room on the back was extremely quiet, enough that I could sleep with the window open. It overlooked the buildings on the street behind, so lots of light. Windows on the rear however are smaller than on the front, which are floor to ceiling. Excellent breakfast in the very pleasant dining room.

I found that the housekeeper who did my room (I was there 4 nights) missed little things - replacing towels, for example. And perhaps like many hotels, there were no plugs/stoppers for the sink or bathtub. The hotel does not have a lounge area; the lobby only has tables and chairs.My suggestion to them is to replace the tables with a sitting area. My room did not have a comfortable upholstered chair, only a desk chair. So there was no place to relax in the evening. The hotel's location is an asset (away from the crowded downtown) but also a detriment. There are only 2 or 3 restaurants around.
