Great location, nice view from the balcony, friendly staff.
Disgusting bed covers with stains on them, scratched headboards, every wall was painted a different color and looked disturbing, the furniture was very old and didn´t match. The door was very hard to open and you have to pay a 20€ deposit for the keys, which they´ve failed to mention beforehand. The private rooms are in a building next door to the hostel. The aforesaid building looks abandoned, would´n recommend it to anybody who values comfort.
The staff are great, location could not have been better and the price was excellent. Got a traditional private room with a lovely balcony and great views of the amazing city.
The stair to the room :) ... Kept me fit! But worth the view and atmosphere! (Private rooms only which are across the road from the hostel) ... Ps don't be put off at google maps virtual pictures as they aren't necessarily correct. Lovely street in the heart of everything, buzzing atmosphere and really pretty
noisy room, no fridge, no TV
Location is great.
No elevator with the rooms have private bath. Breakfast too bad.
The location is perfect for anyone staying in the Gothic Quarter. My room was not shared and was in a really scary place. The apartment entrance with an unbearable smell. Cleaning is weak. Internet only in the hostel reception. But in the end has a good shower and a good bed, but with a very expensive price.
I liked the location and the price. It provides a tiny, clean space for a couple of tiny euros, but don' t expect to eat there!
Awesome location, right in the busy section of the old town
Internet didn't work; breakfast looked so bad we did not have it; our room was across the street in a really gross and trash entrance; beds were hard but sheets clean; no window in the room once you close the balcony door (you need to to sleep - busy street down below); I'm not usually picky but this was enjoyable even for me...
Location was super but everything else was just basic but clean!
-Great place socially if you happen to concur with nice people -Hina at the front desk is very kind, helpful and professional
-Location is extremely convenient, but extremely touristic -Stingy with regard to cleaning, providing bedsheets, towels, etc. -Extremely poor Wi-Fi connection
I dont understand why we have to pay so much for basic things such as sheet and like that. Hostel price cheap but with extras almost 20 euros for one night...
Girls was awsome
Location was fantastic, and good value for money. Basic hostel with a social area. Free sangria from 7-9pm!
Charged €2 for sheets and €2 to leave our bag in the room when we checked out as we weren't leaving til later on that day. Seems like they're just trying to make money out of you.
Quality of the beds (you very clearly feel the springs of the matrass)
The hostel is near metro and good points of Barcelona.
The shower was a mess. Employees are not respectful. Room were not clean when I came.
Staff was really friendly and helpful, always saying hello and smiling. Tidy room and very good location.
We supposed to have a room with 1 large bed and a small bed but we got a room with a lot of beds witch made the room uncomfortable. Everyone had different breakfast baskets and different people had different food selection every morning.
the room was spacious, and pretty clean
the amount of stairs to our room.
I liked the lady at the front counter, she was the only one that was welcoming and helpful. The bread rolls for breakfast are pretty good :)
From the warm yoghurt & milk on the first morning (and every single morning after that) to the false accusation -on departure-that we'd lost a room key (we were only ever given 1) my partner and I couldn't have been more unhappy with staying somewhere. My biggest regret was booking 7 nights upfront because of the cheap price. I wish I had slept in a park to be honest. I probably would have got more sleep. The staff decide to waltz in (loudly) at all hours of the night and put people in beds that ARE TAKEN. The cleaner once came in and woke us up to ask us who was leaving… when no one was leaving for 3 or 4 days? The young guy at the front counter must be part of the family because he would have been fired by now if he wasn't. Rude and unhelpful, always making us feel as though we are interrupting the nothing he's doing. I always leave glowing reviews for hostels and hotels but I just thought I should do some people a favour and let you know what you're in for. You literally get what you pay for. A bed to sleep in (don't forget your sleeping sack, no linen) and good location to go to Las Ramblas and some sights.
conditioner in room, personal socket
very small rooms, very crowded, poorly designed, not really clean
The location and stuffs were perfect. Also cafeteria is hostel good for wasting time and using internet.
I think the room and beds should be more clean.
The location was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful, that's about all that's good to say.
When we arrived the main hostel was exactly as the website advertised. We weren't looking for anything spectacular just somewhere to get the head down, perfect we thought! However upon booking in we were lead out the main hostel and across the road to what I can only describe as a hole in the wall next to a shop selling all types of weapons you could think of (later proved to come in handy!). After entering the hole in the wall through several doors that looked like they needed to be in a motion picture about mobsters (you know the ones with the slot to slide open so you can see who to let in). Brilliant you think secure... NO! They were all on their last legs! I can only describe the inside of this building as the type of place you would go to shoot up, actually even they wouldn't go there! We negotiated the sitar well and got to the 'room' only to find dirty sheets and towels. I can understand most of the pitfalls in this hostel as they say "you get what you pay for" however clean sheets and towels is the least you expect! Even attempting to have a shower was like taking part in toughmudder, the shower head had a mind of it's own! One positive was there was a lightsaber in the room, that came in handy when fighting off the local crack addicts for our possessions! In conclusion even with the low cost you still don't get anything near what you pay for! Just stump up the extra £50 and go somewhere else! Or sleep on the beach... For me this was my first and last experience staying in a hostel. Lesson learnt don't let mates choose where to stay back to the Hilton from now on!
Staff are friendly and the location was very central.
If you are not an 18-year-old dudebro you will hate this hostel. Bad music playing constantly and it's crowded. Really noisy at night. There was no enforced quiet time like there are at other hostels. The WiFi was poor, the breakfast was terrible and on top of high rate they expected you to pay 2 euros for a sheet. So many other better options in Barcelona.
Excellent location. Free buffet breakfast. Cheap. 24h reception.
Breakfast only from 8am to 10am. Beds are not really clean, it doesn't look that they have changed sheets for the next customer. It doesn't have a good area to meet new people, and it doesn't have a kitchen to cook.
cockroachs dirty rooms room out of fix
One of the best locations + always full of amazing people from all over the world
