The bed and the peacefulness spite of the location in the city.
Location was very central to all sites.
Pay to use AC, very noisy from late night revelers, a little dirty
The location and there is a lift although small
Wifi reception is low and have to pay for air con!
Right in the center of the city. Within walking distance of major shops and restaurants. Madrid is a very lovely city. We spent two days at the Hostal Tijcal I and we enjoyed our stay.
We arrived at night, locating Hostal Tijcal I was a problem
Air Conditioning costs extra 6 Euros a day
Very central, just off the Placa Mayor. Clean, friendly, good English.
You pay 6€ per night for your air conditioning. :(
The location @ the entrance to Plaza Mayor.
The noise from the crowds below dining 6ntil the wee hours. paying €30 for the room and €32 to park the car.
Great for a budget stay. Room was small but comfortable, toilet small but water pressure was good, staff friendly. Location was perfect.
It costs extra for the AC. room was noisy at night until about 3am.
very near from metro
but too much noise.
Loaction. Hart of the hart of the city. Very good value for the money.
Yes, we did have small double room, but this was like an extremely small double room. That small that we had barely entered into it with our two normal sized bags. Strange smell in corridors masked by very hard perfume.. We had a problem entering into the building several nights. We rang but no one opened for 10 minutes..
The location is great. Just a 30 second walk from the bustling plaza mayor. The staff were friendly and professional. Room was clean, with a great little balcony which overlooked a small street.
No lockers, although the room felt secure enough not to need them.
Very good location
Rooms are a bit small, but still, value for money
Safe. Usually quiet and silent. Card-key. Controlled entrance to the building and to the hostal. Nice central location, easy to access many good places. Free WiFi and good portfolio of TV channel for the bad times.
Very small bathroom (at least where I have been), difficult to use the toilet and lavabo. One guy at the reception (1 of 3 if I remember correctly) was not very friendly. In the staircase the steps are dangerously slippery. They are old which is OK, but going down should be considered twice. The vending machine does not have no cold drinks.
Good location , 2mins by walk to Vodafone Sol Metro ...i have to say that the hostel was in the Madrid centre because near everything you can find (shopping streets, restaurant, metro, attractions nearby...)
if you want to use the air conditioner , you have to pay 6€\per night (it will be trouble in the summer like now ) temperature upto 38 degree..Su ck
near some nice places
pc slow and doesnt read a pen drive !!!, ant to pay apart !! bedroom & bath the minimun smallest size PC again a shame ! lack of info where to go cold drinks
The staff were welcoming and happy to help. Breakfast and taxi service are available which was fabulous. The rooms are clean, have wifi and a television. There was no air con and the window was right next to the neighbours so it was pretty hot in the room. Hostel is in a lovely location, wasn't noisy at all!
Shortage of plug sockets, no hair dryer, small rooms
The location of the hotel is perfect very close to everything the price is fair.
No common space or balcony. No ice or fridge available. The staff is a little rude.
Great location close to Plaza Mayor and to Sol. Excellent for metro! Good value for money, especially if only for sleeping.
I only stayed one night. The single room was quite small, and basic, but it met my needs for this trip.
The hostal is very good: for location, for value/money, comfort, cleanliness
Quarto sem muita ventilacao natural
1) Supreme Location 2) The guy upgraded us for better room at no coast 3) We had balcony facing the street and private shower/bathroom (felt more like hotel, and not a hostel) 4) We slept like babies
1) Slow wifi 2) You have to pay extra 6 euros for AC (but nights are pretty chilly, so no need to bother)
rooms were tiny.
