It was close to the areas we wished to explore in Cuenca. Dinner at 9:00 pm is a bit too late for North Americans. Can't do much about that in Spain. We had a club sandwich in the bar instead.

It was a reasonable walk to the old quarter....and that's about all that was positive about it. Who on earth creates the star ratings?...and who on earth gave this 4 stars? The staff were very careful not to smile upon check-in in case they showed some sign of being normal, the lifts are about as big as an old London phone box, the garage is dirty, dingy and dismal and with inadequate signage for low ceiling height apart from red painted concrete beams....and they have the cheek to charge 12.50+vat for its use. The WiFi is such a low bandwidth it doesn't work most of the time....and I get the impression that someone from the hotel may read this....and then shrug their shoulders....and do nothing to change their ways. It's a poorly run establishment and they clearly don't care much.

Location in the very interesting town of Cuenca. Our stay was part of a 10 night tour of Spain by 3 mature couples on motorcycles. The hotel had safe garage parking for the bikes, and lived up to expectations as a reasonably priced comfortable modern hotel.

Reception helpful and professional. Secure parking in garage below, but spaces limited. Quiet hotel and location, a stiff uphill walk from the historic centre of Cuenca, but happily away from the crowded tourist streets. Free WiFi in room, not fast, but adequate.
