View Hospitality Food Old Town
the hotel was ten minutes from the old town by taxi which made an ideal location for us. Everything about the hotel was excellent and we would not hesitate to stay there again
A really friendly, comfortable and helpful place to stay. Great care taken with furnishings & artwork, a most extensive breakfast - we'll come back for sure.
Very Spanish , lovely rooms and very clean , food very good, would definitely go again for a break as only an hour from where we live
The drinks where a little expensive , in comparison to what we pay in Spain.
The Staff were very helpful and friendly and it was a very comfortable hotel
Maybe a variation of breakfast would be nice
Location good, near to town and quiet
Lack of snacks, staff ok but not particularly friendly. Moved contents from our room, a misunderstanding about changing rooms but on premiswe that day uuntil midday and did not advise us room change was still to take place as did not mention at check in.
The bed and the breakfast.
Extremely sensitively. Although very noisy guests the staff didn´t do anything about it.
The Hotel was in a perfect position for walking to the Church square in the old part of Altea, where there were nice restaurants to eat in. The scenery from the hotel was breath taking . Easy walk to the market held on a Tuesday . Hotel dinner was excellent .
Very close to old town .Good wine list .Lovely decor .Would have expected to pay more than I did .
Some of the other guests were bad mannered which wasnt the fault of the hotel
big rooms jet shower cleanliness interior pool
breakfast is the same every day
A very well run family business, you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Typical spanish hotel, with lots of character, quiet & relaxing, excellent spanish style breakfast.Location a short walk to the old town. We will definately return to this wonderful hotel.
We liked everything about this hotel.
The hotel is in a quiet, peaceful location. The building is interesting as it is a converted Oil Mill. The staff are helpful and the meals were delicious, especially if you like Spanish food.
The balconies could be a bit bigger, and a couple of outdoor chairs would be beneficial. Also some softer toilet paper would be a bonus!
Noisy air conditioning and lack of view when sitting on the terrace.
We loved the location. this was our 3rd visit. The interior of the hotel is superb- public rooms as well as bedrooms which are particularly large. Views from our second floor room were wonderful. Altea od town itself is beautiful with lots of restaurants and bars. There was a craft fair on on 28th which was magical.
Dinner on the first night was disappointing and breakfasts not as good as we remember. Hot food was actually cold and coffee bitter. Ate out in Altea old town on second night. The hotel is quite noisy in the mornings as the doors all seem to need to be banged shut and next doors plumbing etc can be heard. Also disturbed by local dogs obviously kept outside, barking.
Our room was very spacious with a private terrace and beautiful views. The ambience was typically Spanish and the quality of the food excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly . The old town was a short walk away.
We had difficulty locating the hotel which is down a narrow track off a busy main road. Our Sat Nav took us to the area but we only saw the hotel sign by chance. A more detailed map would have been helpful.
The style and decor
Felt the restaurant could be improved, although breakfast was very good
Great hotel, good value for money.Great breakfast and lovely evening meal. Convenient for old town.
The approach to the hotel from the top road was extremely steep. And a disused building at the upper side of the hotel gave that area a scruffy appearance.which is a shame because the hotel is lovely
This visit was for my husbands birthday, granted only one night. The room was big, and a great shower room, nice view from terrace. The bed was a king size but very hard, The hotel was typical Spanish old world décor which we liked. But to find the hotel was a nightmare not very well sign posted.
Well the breakfast was very disappointing not much selection, the coffee was not refilled. But there were not many guests, we had dinner and we were the only people in the dining room a bit off putting when you can here your voice echo across the room.
Friendly and helpful staff and relaxing atmosphere. Food was excellent.
A little too far away from town necessitating a car to get to anything. Bar often not 'manned' so had to ask at reception to get a drink.
Staff, service and accommodation
It isn't a 10 mins walk to the old town.
very relaxed atmosphere ,hotel was spotless as was the room, the staff were very pleasant ,we had short walk to altea center in the evening, about 10 mins, which was pleasant and on our return we sat and had a drink on the terrace.in all we really liked the hotel i would say it was a place to relax .we are going back in september
The staff, the hotel, free parking, lovely breakfast. The location is a bit of a walk to the seaside (15 minutes) and to the city center (10 minutes) but we did not mind the walk after eating and drinking.
Not much really, except for the elevator which only goes to the first floor. If you stay on the second floor, it will be a struggle to carry a heavy suitcase up the steps.
Just a beautiful place! Gave us a feeling of calm luxury the whole week. The staff are present, service minded, smiling and nice. From the balcony we saw the sunset over the mountains of Ayetana. Just beautiful. Clean and nice swimming pool aria. Tasteful breakfast in the shadow on the terrace / in the garden. 4 minutes walk from the most beautiful town in Costa blanca: the old city of Altea. Hundreds of nice places to eat and drink, and the best Mochito we've ever tasted. We will recommend the Hotel to our friends and family in Oslo / Norway.
