Location, location, location. I had a very basic room in a purely functional hotel with no trimmings. Ok for one night since convenient for city and airport but not for enjoyment. Soulless.

Great location. The room was unbelievable tiny. There was literally nowhere to put the suicase, nowhere to move! Not cozy at all- horrible lighting and just bad karma. But then, I wasn't impressed by Malaga at all, so this may cloud my judgement. Room was clean, but we were glad to get out of there.

Very clean; located walking distance from the port and the downtown pedestrian area. There is wired Internet access in each room with cables available from the front desk. Good value for the low price, but glad we only stayed one night. Room was quite small and the bathroom, while very clean, was tiny and the towels were quite worn. A little hard to find; the taxi driver had to call his dispatcher to get directions.

the staff was very friendly and gave us information about the city. the rooms are very nice and clean and there is a big tv with many channels. We were very satisfied with this hotel especially for this price in semana santa in the center. - hard to find, it´s a really small street so the streetname is only on very detailled maps.

The location being in the centre of Malaga was excellent with easy access on foot to all tourist destinations. The room was clean although it looked out onto a ventilation shaft with no direct sunlight or view. The price for the 2 night stay was very reasonable considering its location. The reception staff on arrival were unhelpful and not friendly at all. We were offered no information on where to find amenities as the hotel did not have any tea/coffee facilites.

Very friendly helpful staff. The hotel very clean. The location is ideal for the city centre. Close to bus stops so makes travel easy. I have stayed in the hotel a number of times and can thoroughly recommend and excellent value. I have stayed here a number of times and have nothing negative to comment.

The location is excellent, you are right in the middle of the city, nothing is too far. From the train station we first cought a taxi, which was only 4 euro to take us there, but on departure we sinmply walked to the station. The room was just enough for the two of us, we stayed 2 nights. It was very clean. However they do not have bar or selection of snacks, there are many shops neatby, we only discovered too late, if you come out at the front and turn right, on one of the back road about 20 m away you can find everything. The walls are thin so you can hear some noises, but not too bad.We didn't come to sleep a lot anyway.

24 hour door people very friendly and with good english. The building is drab on the outside but the furnishings and stairwells are very recently renovated, modern, clean and pleasant. Nice duvet covers as seen in the photos. Excellent bathroom and shower for this price range. Price was very cheap and location made it an easy walk to pretty much everything we wanted to see in Malaga. Easy walking distance to the big Alameda Principal bus stop, to which you can get a 2e ticket straight from the airport (45 mins). Didn't bother us really, but it's in a fairly dark, ugly little alley, and a little hard to find. The ibis nearby is visible from the main road, if you head towards that and hit the river you are very close. Once you are within 100m you might be able to spot the hotel trebol sign which is about 4 stories up. If you don't have gps, make sure you have a really detailed map as most of the surrounding streets don't really have street signs so it's hard to work out exactly where you are.

Excellent and modern hotel in the centre of Malaga. Great value for money. Very helpful staff on reception. Clean and quiet rooms. Parking is possible next to the hotel in the underground car park Parking is relatively expensive even with hotel discounts (5 euros per night 20-09, 18 euros per 24 hours or 35 euros per 48 hours)

Location was very good. Quiet at night. Parking was in a car park just around the corner and you buy a discount voucher from the hotel which saves a lot of money on the standard rate. They seemed to skimp on the toiletries and quality of towels but otherwise everything was fine.

Hotel Trebol was (as many others have posted) very clean and comfortable. It has a great location on the East of the old town 50 m North of the indoor market. This makes all the main attractions in the old town, Malagetta Beach / Promenade and the Train and Bus stations with in easy walking distance. However despite such a good location it was as quite as you can expect from a city centre hotel. The old town has a wide range of bars and restaurants ranging from the very basic locals bars / cafes through to incredibly trendy (and expensive) ones. We were in room 102 and the hairdryer didn't work and the shower head holder had broken.
