Tryp Madrid Alameda Aeropuerto Hotel  

Great Location. Old furniture, but still good value for money.

There is no control in the baggage room. You just leave it there without any identification tag. It´s a bit tense for your last day in town.

The hotel looks recently renewed, rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, have big and light bathroom with all stuff related to good 4-star hotels. It provides free shuttle bus service to and from the airport Barajas. it takes 10 minutes to get to the airport. Breakfast starts early at 6.30 it's good if you have to leave early in the morning. We also were happy of dinner opportunity when arrived at 23.00.

When we came into our room ventilation was too poor, so that we couldn't breath. We opened the balcony door and tried to sleep like this, but it was January and cold outside. The conditioner was so strange and it didn't work properly. So after restless night in fug were damned this hotel for not paying attention to matter of ventilation. Hotel staff is not very friendly, nobody actually is interested in your problems. The dinner costed us 40 euros for two, but there was too little choice and mostly leftovers. The waiter pretended he didn't understand English and tried to sell us drinks which were included in dinner price.

Hotel bus service from airport to hotel extremely poor. Hotel advertises transportation to hotel. I waited an hour! Hotel buses from numerous other hotels kept coming by. Not this one...until an hour after I sat waiting at the terminal. Wouldn't stay there again on this account. Reception folk indifferent to complaint implying my fault. They are very poor. Other staff good.

Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, airport shuttle service, close to the metro station, easy to get to Madrid.

Unfortunately swimming pool didn’t work.

The reception staff on arrival seemed more interested in talking too each other than dealing with my arrival!

The return shuttle bus to the airport was a disaster. No organisation on the part of the hotel and so many passengers waiting for the buses, we gave up and took a taxi. Not an ideal start to a 12 hour flight! The Clement Barajas, where we normally stay in this area, books you on to the shuttle bus at your required time and therefore there is no struggle to get on board.

Free shuttle to and from airport; nice bathrooms. Restaurant food was good.we would recommend and return.

Pillows were too flat and hard.

Our stay was due to a missed flight connection and the airline put us up in the Tryp Alameda Aeropuerto. We arrived close to 1 in the morning and were served a buffet late dinner. The staff was most agreeable. For our second stay we requested a reservation and once again were very comfortable in the room which we were assigned. Although the rooms are not large, we had a very comfortable bed, safe and to our surprise, a balcony. The bathroom was a nice size with all the necessary amenities. I would recommend the hotel to all travelers. The shuttle ride is around 10 to 15 minutes or so to the airport. The food in the restaurant is fairly good and the breakfast is complete. I for one must thank the staff once more for their service.

The heating and ventilation in our room was not working properly. The room was insufferably warm during our first night. Yet no adjustment in what we paid was made. The staff's attitude was that the overheated room was my problem, not theirs. They did put us in a different room for our second night. The buffet breakfast was excellent (the best feature of the hotel). The room was much too small to be classified as a triple.
