Hotel did not provide a supplementary bed as requested in the reservation, claiming that an extra bed is impossible to put in a 3 bed room, blamed booking.com for the apparent misselling mistake.

nothing really. the only thing i would advice all hotels in the world is to change the bath tubs asap into showers with anti-slip floors.

Close proximity to the main railway station. Able to provide gluten free bread for Joanna. Good selection of food at breakfast and plenty of it. Helpful and well mannered staff. Good English spoken by reception staff. Useful when our Spanish was not good enough. Despite what it says on some reports the hotel can be accessed via a gentle ramp and a lift.Agreed there are steps but the ramp is nearer to the staion and the slope is only slight and very luggage friendly with a lift to reception and all floors.

The staffs are less smile and less warm. The entrance access is narrow, and lead to crowded due to all elevators door is directly at the entrance access. No free drinks (aqua)

Television was only in Spanish (I was unable to get anything else) Also "free" internet would not work even on my Vaio W7 machine (resonably high-end). Curiously, a pay network worked just fine.

Great location right beside the train station for easy access to the rest of Spain. Staff were friendly and helpful and quite able to converse in English. Rooms were large and comfortable and nicely decorated; lots of flat spaces to put stuff and outlets to recharge electronic gear.

The entrance is a bit difficult for anyone with heavy luggage; the first step is about a foot high.

At reception we were greeted by Adrian who was very welcoming, efficient & tolerant of our questions. We had a triple room which suited a needs for the night and were pleased the see bathroom toiletries provided

The premium room at this hotel was very nice and also the swimming pool was ok.

our room was right next to the lift o we heard the noise.. don't choose the room 1201;) the acces to the metro station was little bit complicated.

Hotel staff in were reception quite rude, and slow to check in, breakfast is nice but expensive for Madrid, and you have to go early because staff don't replace any food and after 10 you will still pay the same price for just leftovers.

Very good comfort for the money. It has double doors to isolate you from the noise from the corridor. The swimming pool is good and the location of the hotel is good enough for going to the airport or to downtown.

Difficult to climb the entrance stairway with heavy luggage. The location is good for people travelling by public transportation, but not so good if you have a car as parking is expensive and scarce around.

Swimming pool only open in the middle of the day so no chance for early morning swim. Closed at 8pm so could not go in the evening after a long day's sightseeing either as by the time we had eaten and got train back it was too late. Also only one sachet of coffee in the room. We could have shared in the evening but then nothing left for early morning drink. Glad I had my tea bags with me.

The mini-bar in the room was not functioning properly; We booked a double room, and, expected to get a double bed, but when we checked-in, we were informed that there is only one double bed bedroom per floor (ridiculous!), and that was no availability. We were told that if we wanted a double bed we needed to get an upgraded bedroom and we needed to pay the difference (60€ more per night). The staff was overall contrite in helping and coming up with solutions, even after we pointed out that the fridge was not working properly.

I stay in hotel only for 1 night travelling via Madrid and it is very close to Chamartin train stacion. Room was very big and modern with big bed. Excellent hotel for the value

The location was rubbish. Overall the hotel was a 2 star hotel in a 4 star packaging.
