Absolutely nothing. It was disgusting. This hotel is not a 4 star. I asked to speak to the manager about the appauling breakfast and he told another rude staff member to tell me to put it in writing. The staff are rude. The food is disgusting and the rooms are so old and dated I would expect it to be a 2 star. The only decent point is the location. We travel to Alicante fequently and this is the only hotel I have ever writen about. I use Booking.com on a regular basis and would strongly suggest you take this hotel off your list.

Excellent location. The rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet excellent. The Sofa in the living room should have pillows to support the back. On account of the location quite a lot of noise from street and the Marina, especially during the time of the Volvo Ocean Race when I happened to be there.

We asked for a room with a view and that was just what we got. View over the harbour and the castle floodlit at night was incomparable. This must rate as our favorite hotel, location, choice of food and shopping all first class. We went to see the Volvo Round the World boats before they set off and we could watch all the action from our room and join in the fun just across the road.Fabulous!!

The location was fabulous The room was smaller than expected (photos look larger) I am glad we got a deal on the price as I would have been disppointed if i had paid full price. I think the person who painted the room was in a hurry or not very good, but it made us smile!!

The continental breakfast was good, and the sheets and towels were changed everyday, the views were fantastic overlooking the harbour and it is in the centre of town. The time we went the hotel was undergoing refurbishment, so although the room had excellent with views etc the furniture etc looked tired as well as the corridors that were dark, once finished I hope the look is as good as the voyer and reception which was ultra modern, so a bit disapointed, and the lifts made a terrible noise going up and down so did keep us awake sometimes.

Location, right on the seafront, in city. The rooms, furnitures and ambience, except for the lobby, are totally outdated. Nothing has been done since February 23, 1963.

The location was very good....not too far from the airport (about 30 minutes by bus), close to the beach, close to the harbour and close to lots of bars and restaurants (all within walking distance). The bath towels were nice and big, and hand towels and a floor mat/towel were provided. The rooms are quite dated and the furniture was a little shabby, although the beds were comfortable and clean. There was a box of "items" in the bathroom, but they were not of much use......eg, shoe shine, comb, dental kit, shower cap, mini bar of soap for handwashing, etc. There was no shampoo or conditioner, which would have been of more use, but there was liquid handwash by the sink and by the bath. The toilet roll and hygeine bags were not replaced, so we ran out of both. There was no kettle/tea/coffee making facility although this is usually standard in most hotels these days, and is an appreciated necessity rather than a luxury! There was a small fridge/minibar, but the ice- making compartment was frozen solid and the door of the fridge did not close properly, so it was not very cold. We had breakfast once (because of a promotional offer), which was average (but would have been very over- priced had we not got "two for the price of one"). The restaurant on the top floor had a great view and looked nice enough at our quick glimpse, but my friend thought it smelled too unpleasant, so we did not eat there, and are therefore unable to comment on the food or service. Overall, the best thing about this hotel is the location - and the management clearly realise this and are possibly a bit lazy with updating the hotel because of it - but it should not be rated any higher than a 3-star until the rooms are refurbished a bit. It is definitely not 4-star standard, but was fine for the short break we had there. I'm not sure I would be happy with a week or more there though, based on the 4-star rating I was expecting! I would possibly stay there again simply because I know the location is good, but I would look at other options in the same area first if I went to that area again.

I stayed in this hotel many times and like it very much! The location is perfect: not far from the beach, very comfortable, the staff is very friendly and polite! The food is also nice! There is a beautiful place near the hotel- Esplanada with lots of palm trees! There are also lots of restaurants near the hotel and small caffes.

The hotel staff were very helpful and willing to answer my queries in a nice and professional way. The only complain was that the Room wall are not thick even to stop the noise from the room next door

The location is excellent. We were lucky to get a room on the 24th floor, facing the castle and the beach, which gave us a fantastic view. No matter where we were in Alicante we would easily find our way back, as the hotel is so visible. The room was also quite spacious with its little tv lounge. The restaurant was excellent, wonderful view and both food and staff were great! The air conditioning was terribly noisy. The toilet was too close to the bath (not good for long legs :). )

The hotel is situated very central in Alicante. We got a very small room, and asked in the reception if we could change it. They told us it was no more rooms available. We wanted to moove to another and better hotel, but they said we could not do that because we had booked on internet. Next morning a new person was working in the reception and she gave us a new room (which was a little better than the first one).
