Excellent location. It's everything you need when you walk out from the hotel like shops, restaurants, metro, buses, hop on hop off bus, etc. Good breakfast service. Cleanliness is their priority. Love to come back again.
Poor wifi reception and the old fashioned lift that you have to wait for long time for service.
the location execellent. the team of the hotel was v co operative
- I was going to stay in a single room but "the single room" means a small cell with a window to ventilation (center of the building without sun light) so you feel like you are in a prison. I strongly recommend not to book a single room. I paid the difference and upgraded myself to a double room. - Inside the hotel is too old, lobby area, the furniture, lifts and room equipment. Curtains are very dirty. Carpet on the ground is so old and peeling. - My room was non-smoking however the room was smelly - My room was on 4th floor but I had to wait approximately 5-6 minutes each time for hot water to arrive and so thin. - Shampoo and soap supplies were really low. - The man (I am sorry but I can't say a gentleman because he was not) at the front desk was very rude and unfriendly when I asked my room to be changed and upgraded. I had a problem with breakfast and this man even told me on the phone "Come to reception, then I will talk to you!" Excuse me? - Wi-fi supply is more than low. I hardly had connection in my room.
- Well, a great location. On the central street and the Gran Via station is just steps away. - Puerta del Sol Sq is just 8 mins away by walking.
Location next to subway Clean bath room and towels
No Refrigerator Too much noise in front of Gran Via Breakfast is so so
The hotel is in front of the Metro. Close to restaurants and shopping area.
Central Location (Gran via street), which is close to the main important sites of Madrid. Excellent diversified breakfast, including vegetables.
No parking. A big problem when you arrive by a car. The street noises were heard easily (5th. floor) One of the windows cannot be locked.
Location is awesome and staff is very friendly. The breakfast was ok, but there would be room for impreovements
The Wi-Fi connection was not working in the evenings, also super slow...
The breakfast buffet was good. I got a special price which was good. Otherwise it can be a bit expensive.
location room clean
wifi doesn t work fine noisy (cleaner staff)
nothing to beat its location, just too good, very central, Metro is just 20 feet away.. Staff very helpful and seems like they have been around for a long time. value for money
i feel breakfast should have been included in the tariff, also room for two should be bigger...
All of the above, particularly Location, It was quiet Staff were friendly
Snacks/drinks vending machines only had instructions in Spanish, so not user friendly.
The infernal noise all night long. A hotel in the centre of town should have noise proof windows not paper thin ones!
hotel a bit dated
Excellent stay for the entire duration at the hotel
location and free wifi
There was a mix up with the rooms which was not the fault of the hotel (booking.com's fault) bit Irene on the reception sorted the problem straight away. Excellent location and value for money. Would definitely stay there again.
Was like a nightmare. Had to leave on the second day due to noise passing through door and walls and no sleep. Particularly restaurant staff were very unfriendly. Was extremely hard to get early breakfast. Towels were dirty.
Location was fine
Rooms are very small, the bathroom was old and the beds not the well.
Location and that is the only thing!
Shabby rooms with poor maintenance. rather rude front desk. Uncomfortable beds along with lack of hot water.
Lifts were not working property most of the time
Good location. Close to Puerta del Sol
Standard of the rooms, including the bathroom, was very poor. Very dated, paint coming off the walls. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
Instalaciones y habotaciones muy viejas
They used Lux and Dove, the area and breakfast
The rooms were so hot. Seems like there's no aircondition at all and poor signal for wifi. The hotel also needs some renovation bec. The place seemed old and worn out.
Only the location.
I think 3 stars and THE PRICE is overrated. I booked 1 single and 1 double room for my parents. In this website, the description of the rooms said it had a view to Gran Via Street. When we arrived, we were angry to see our rooms were in the back of the hotel, super cold, and my parents room had separated beds. We demanded they change us to another room, and so they did the next day. They told us the hotel doesn't have double beds. The walls are terrible because you can hear everything the neighbors are doing, and even hear the plates in the kitchen. Could be cleaner, the carpet is a bit disgusting.
