Breakfast was poor. My fried egg had shell in it and my partners scrambled tasted odd. Coffee was cold. Pricey
Location was close to airport which I liked. Also hotel on bus route which took me to the city of Malaga.
No evening entertainment in the location of hotel. WiFi was very poor quality
Close to the airport, lovely sea views. Excellent tasty breakfast with lots of choice including English breakfast and continental.Quiet at night for sleeping and comfy beds. Staff were friendly.Car advised but there is a bus stop outside the hotel.Would definitely stay again
Lovely sea views, nice food & friendly staff.
Taxi is needed for practically everything.
Excellent breakfast variety, good location (taxi to malaga ~15euros, proximity to the airport) , big and clean rooms with a balcony at a seaside
Our stay in January was a peaceful break before planned surgery. Weather cold but sunny. Just what the doctor ordered.
Location, close to the airport. Ideal for when you need to take an early plane.
Breakfast was good and also the free parking. Good place if your visiting Malaga by car, 10min car drive (underground parking in city center around €27/day)
We had to request for the sea view we booked, they seemed to forgot. The shower had several minor issues but the hotel solved it per request. If you're not coming by car and intend to visit Malaga you need to either take a taxi or the bus since the route to the city is an highway.
that it was close at the airport near the sea
bathroom rooms some people smoked, fire-alarm at night
The hotel was nice and clean
Very few indoor activities
Fantastic breakfeasts! WiFi was top Staff kind and helpful
The spa department. It worked, but way to expensive (15 euros) considering the facilities (sauna and bubblebath for 2 persons) Pool a little small, but ok.
Pool closes very soon . Have to pay extra for lots of things. Part of the staff was not very welcoming. Of course not all of them. It looked like they didnt need to care about costumers with promotional rates.
The rooms are called "sound-proof" - the walls might be thick but there was an locked door between our room and the neighbour and you can hear your neighbour's telly until it's turned off and also sounds from the corridor.
staff gave little or no information or help. Buffett menu not available, and treated like an idiot when we asked if it was 'menu del dia' or 'al a carte'. The Eu7 charge for using the Jacuzzi and sauna. The heating was not able to be controlled in the room and so the window had to be left open all night.
Its far away from city centre and very limited public transport
» unfriendly reception staff » location is too far away from city center
close to the airport
we came from Marbella Melio hotel Puerto Banus, the difference was big; compering both Melia was worth 5* and Tryp 3* breackfast and dinner poor nothing in the neabourhood to eat or drink
The buffet was really nice - Lots of choice and fresh food.
Poor Wifi in the bedroom. Not the hotel fault; but at the moment, it's quite difficult to reach the airport from the hotel due to some work on the road. The way to the airport is not well indicated.
Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, helpful staff. Great view and very nice breakfast (stayed on B&B basis). Bus service right outside into Malaga city for E1.30 - bus every 30 mins. Good Wi-Fi service. Indoor swimming pool. As this hotel has private access to beach and pools would be lovely in summer when might not want to go into town so much and able to sunbathe etc but all in all an excellent hotel, very good value (cheap coffees/drinks at the bar and both the half-board the all inclusive rate - either of which we might use if there in the spring/summer and not out in town so much seems very good value. We anticipate coming back with friends in a few months time and will recommend Tryp Guadalmar to others.
Not the hotel's fault at all (although perhaps info on website could be a bit clearer) but I had hoped that we'd be able to cycle or walk into the city given the fairly close location. Unfortunately access to both the airport and city are divided by a very complex motorway route and very busy roads with no way of reaching Malaga other than by public transport - and no way of getting to the hotel other than by taxi at E19 although only 2k aways - . As a result of 'cut-off' position had to use the (pretty frequent and affordable) bus to get into and out of town even though could see the edge of the city/port from window! We had two double beds in our room and one was pretty uncomfortable as very very hard - after a couple of nights changed to the other which was much better in terms of no more waking up in the night in pain and no kettle in 'standard room' (you need to order a premium room for that facility as can't borrow one - we will however next time). Pretty slow check-in on a Sunday early evening (20 mins+) even though only 3 people ahead of us but it was a bank holiday so probably low on staff. Two days later I watched reception check-in a much larger group (about 15 people off a bus-tour) in about the same time! Very minor gripes though and had a really good short break.
Nice room, lots of space. Nice, quiet situation even though the planes pass by.Good bus service to Malaga.
In early Dec.the food was poor perhaps due to too few guests. The dining room and lounge area were stark and chilly.
Overall hotel was ok..but beds was poor. .fridge was not working. .but view of hotel was excellent. .taxi driver are very clever. .charge too much if they see you are foreigner..always ask them first. How much would be. .
Beds..service. .taxi driver
Good value. Room 10 out of 10 really good. Food 8 out of 10 Location great on beach 12 mins Airport at 15 euros
There was building work going on at the Hotel which I was not told about. Nothing to do in the area need car or taxi
Only one beer in the room minibar. Impossible to get more beer from the hotel.
Ideal hotel for access to malaga airport . One of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in . Excellent choices at breakfast. Delightful gardens . Super beach bar/restaurant just outside grounds.
Decor was tired . Only short Walk way outside hotel so not really anywhere to walk
