With a convenient location, close to the old roman bridge and just a 20 minute walk from the center of the city, this modern 4-star hotel offers high-quality spacious luxurious accommodations. The hotel is located on Avenida de Portugal in a new residential area, close to a shopping center and entertainment center with movie theater, restaurants and plenty of traditional bars and pubs nearby. The location also means the hotel has great access to the region’s major road network, ideal if you are visiting the area on business or exploring the region on vacation. The Vía de La Plata (or Silver Way) is an old commercial path that crosses the west of Spain from north to south, connecting Merida to Astorga. This is a very decent hotel but utterly soul-less. Breakfast is a total rip-off at 15 euros each. Go down to the cafe 400 yards away for a really good breakfast at 8 euros for two.

The hotel was really smart, great secure underground parking for a fee or off road parking for free. Staff were pleasant When we arrived we pulled upto the front of the hotel and then noticed it was a one way street against us. Clearer signs would be better. Unfortunately we stayed at the front of the hotel opposite a bar which was holding a private wedding, The noise went on until 4am and when I complained the staff were helpful and phoned the police, the noise was not their faulf, however, marbled floors throughout meant that any noise from other guests was amplified. The hotel was also a long walk into Merida and up hills, not so good if you cant walk for long periods.

Su buena comunicación, fácil de acceder al centro y muy fácil de salir fuera de Mérida. Justo enfrente del hotel hay un centro comercial ("El Foro") con un pub con barra al aire libre y si tienes una de las muchas habitaciones que hay que dan al exterior a las 3,4, 5 de la mañana el problema de ruido es, a mi parecer, muy serio. Por otro lado en los 2 ordenadores que hay al lado de la recepción no se permite el acceso gratuito a internet, yo particularmente creo que en un 4 estrellas este servicio en 2 ordenadores debería de ser gratuito.

Las vistas desde esta habitación se ve la ciudad. No pasa lo mismo en el resto del hotel. Nos dieron una habitación que olía muy mal. Tuvimos que pedir el cambio de la misma. La nueva habitación estaba mejor pero tenía también un olor "raro" que pudimos soportar. Las habitaciones que dan al oeste (donde se hospedaron nuestros amigos tienen el inconveniente de que hay allí una discoteca y los ruidos que provienen de la misma o sus clientes parece que les molestaron bastante. Para ir al centro histórico hay que caminar unos 20/30 minutos y si regresas por la noche es recomendable hacerlo en taxi.

Lo que más me ha gustado del hotel es que se nota que tiene una buena calidad desde el principio, ya había estado en más Tryp y sigue con la tonica de la compañia en relación calidad-precio. Es fácil aparcar ya que tiene un centro comercial al lado donde por cierto es barato comer productos bastante buenos. Las camas muy comodas y bien insonorizado. Su lejanía con el centro de la ciudad. A unos 20 minutos en linea recta.

Gente servicial en recepción. Habitación amplia. Eso si leí en varios comentarios que estaba cerca de un zona de ocio con ruido nocturno. Lo confirmo, así que es muy importante pedir una habitación que da del otro lado. Así no tuvimos ningún problema de ruido. En cuanto a insonorización, también mencionado por algunos, no encontramos nada alarmante en este aspecto. Si que esta un poco alejado del centro, pero Mérida es pequeña. No, realmente en base. Todos los comentarios negativos esperaba algo peor, y no fue el caso.
