Everything was fantastic. Charming hotel people. Service and room amazing.
Best location; cleanliness; breakfast; staff. I would recommend it to everyone
The only thing I disliked was the AC. It was noisy at night and we had to turn off the heater. The temperature was centralized, but they didn't take into consideration the size of the bigger rooms which were not heated enough. The system is a bit outdated. I had to see maintenance and asked them to increase room temperarure
the location was good
- although the view was one of the qualifications of the room we booked, we eventually were given a real stuffy room with no view (just an opposite wall- that was the choking view). the worst of all was that when we complained, the receptionist laughed sarcastically telling us that we were wrong and that we had booked a room without view. when we approved to her our argument by showing booking's page, she told us that it is booking's mistake. finally, she found a page in Spanish (which we could not read because we don t know the language) and she insisted that this page approved that she was right. all with a wry smile. - they dont clean up the rooms before 3pm and some evenings they vacuuming the hallway right outside the rooms at 11 pm - you have to pay if you want a wifi that works (the free wifi that the hotel advertise is terrible)
Location excellent Family room very well organised and clean
Being on grand via the street noise is constant ,this is truly the city that never sleeps. The double glazing does not block this noise out.
No concierge Wooden floor is in bad condition Poor room material
Location central, friendly staff and varried breakfast.
This hotel is situated on the Gran Via and is within walking distance of all of Madrid's landmarks. The hotel in itself is very clean and the rooms are also very clean and spacious. The self service buffet breakfast is great and has a very large selection of warm and cold foods.
The room with city view was excellent, wide window and a little balcony to look over Gran Via. Everything was clean and looking good. Staff was good as well
Breakfast was only ok, nothing special. The room was a little noisy, from the 24h traffic in gran via, but this did not affect my sleep
Everything about it. Location is amazing. Staff are good.
A bit small for 3 adults. For those who dont like noise at night this hotels would not suitable for them.
Not exactly cheap, but given its location, the price is normal.
Too much noise at night - again, not unexpected given the location, but it woke me up a few times every night. The balcony doors did not close tightly, which would help.
The website and its pictures were nothing like the real hotel. definitely not a 4 star hotel.
The reception staff were excellent, very helpful and informative. The family room was huge with a wonderful balcony. It was nice for the kids to not have to share the usual fold out sofa bed- they had bunk beds. Location was great ad the breakfast was plentiful.
No tea/coffee in the room
Best family room ever for a city break. Hotel have thought of everything for a family. Brilliant view of Place Espana
Clean but decor a little basic and tired.
Airconditioning was not working properly, the rooms are run down, and staff were unhelpful.
Great hotel, nice staff, right on Gran Via which is convenient for tours and things to do. The room was big and really nice. Overall it was a great place to stay.
Free Wifi would turn off every 15 minutes and the paid WiFi was really expensive. I don´t understand why they do that.
No locks for the bathroom
The location of the hotel is excellent. It's near lots of eating places, the metro and shopping areas.
There is no bell hop at the hotel and having to lift 3 suitcases from the door to the steps leading to the reception area was indeed a challenge.
LOCATION CLEANLINESS BREAKFAST
NOBODY TO HELP IN LUGGAGE
Location. Size of rome and bed.
Not Clean rooms. and not enough chairs in the room. Bathroom so small
the size of the room and bed and right in centre of gran via
location, friendly staff
some room may need an upgrade (furniture, wall painting)
Staff is very kind and helpful. Location is perfect. The rooms looking over Gran Via view is impressive
Location. We enjoyed the comfortable room size.
All was acceptable. Nothing that I can come with.
room was bright and clean
There were no tea and coffee-making facilities even though this was stated on our booking and when we asked they simply replied they do not offer that facility not very helpful. Long que for tea and coffee in the morning and poor selection. For Tea you had to boil kettle and make your own had to keep asking for cups/ bowls extra water. We stayed here as we were running the marathon we brought our own porridge but they did not want to assist is and would not let us use the microwave Booked four rooms only 2 had balcony one had no view at all
The location is central, size of the family room is good, breakfast with varaity and value, house keeping good.
Nothing really until the checkout, we asked the receptionist to arrange our transfer to the airport. Unfortunately, we were overcharged by the taxi drivers. I suspected at first that the drivers had some arrangement with the receptionist, but I did not give much thought at the time. In the middle of our trip to the airport and after long conversation over the phone between the taxi drivers, our meter was changed to the flat rate of €30!!! Moreover, upon arriving to the airport the driver asked me for more money. He calms it is for the hotel calling charge?!!!
