It was a wonderful 16 hrs away from Camino - we So enjoyed the wonderful shower ( although a bath would have being better!!) the sound of running water from nearby river relaxed our mind & soul! Breakfast was good. The staff at reception were very helpfull & pleasant.
I did NOT like the long walk from the Camino route to get to it- did'nt like the atmosphere in dining room - so we ate at the bar ( Spanish omlette) which was Not good - we told the staff& were Not charged for same--
The hotel was just out of the town and its exterior was not particularly appealing but once inside we were very impressed. The service was excellent ,the rooms simple but comfortable, and we found the food in the underground restaurant to be exceptional both in quality and value. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
Our only quibble was that our stay was over the weekend and the restaurant was closed Sunday night.
The hotel clerk, Esperanza, tried very hard to provide whatever we needed, but there was only one of her. The dinner in the restaurant (chef Jose) was excellent and breakfast was good too.
The hotel was very far from the camino - 3k or more - not its fault, but just a warning to other camino travelers. I think the hotel is trying too hard to be modern--the sharp minimalist decoration was not designed for comfort. The wifi did not work in the rooms. When we arrived, we discovered that there was only one staff member at the hotel providing service at the bar, front desk and laundry. The hotel needs to provide more staff for guest services. As part of the camino, we asked the hotel to send one of our bags via a transport service, but apparently they forgot, and we had to make arrangements with the transport service for the next day. Location is pretty on the river, but you are far away from other businesses/restaurants, making it inconvenient. Altogether disappointing, for too much money.
No wifi in room. Room were office like and not very comfortable
Interior of hotel - converted mill, octagonal room and riverside location
Exterior looked a bit unpromising
Very friendly welcome. Lovely rooms, very comfortable.
The room was large, the bathroom functional, very clean. We were greeted by a very helpful receptionist (Señora Motse) who assisted us with the forwarding of our luggage (we were Camino pilgrims) and the following morning with taxi booking and directions. The garden is spectacular, with easy chairs to enjoy a drink by the riverside. The hotel is interesting also for its unique modern design and although not close to the Camino route, well worth the taxi ride. The restaurant was excellent.
I loved the riverside location. We enjoyed sitting in the comfy garden chairs watching the bird life on the river. Beautifully designed modern rooms and lots of very attractive and comfortable communal places to sit.
Everything was good.
Hotel was modern and clean however it was a reasonable walk Into centre of town and eateries.
I personally was not a fan of the shower being part of main room.
Modern room almost a suite light and airy.
Strange glass entrance.
What a great stay with wonderful front desk staff!
The staff were very helpfull and warm
Location a bit out of town
