I loved that the hostel organised activities for the guests to participate in each and every day, which is a bonus for solo travelers or travelers that are keen to meet other people and get great exposure to the city. In particular I'd like to mention by name Pablo and Erica who were involved in a number of the social activities organised by the hostel. They were enthusiastic, friendly and passionate about what they do. I stayed in a number of other hostels on this trip and u Hostels was by far the best one. It's excellent value for money. As their tag line suggests - luxury accommodation at backpacker rates. The free breakfast could have been a little more extensive, for example, cereal could have been offered in addition to the two slices of toast and juice/milk.

The design and space of the hostel was amazing, with the rooms and bathrooms very clean. Also Pablo organizes some very fun pub crawls and flamenco nights that show cases the best of Madrid.

Everything was better than other hostels in Spain and Europe that I stayed while I traveled. I think it would be better if there is a very weak light that doesn't bother others in the room. The private light is too bright at night, I think.

Absolutely wonderful. Kudos to those who designed it. I stayed in a 12 bed dorm for €14. The dorm is so big that I can imagine that even if you're the 12th person in and everyone is traveling with life size suitcases you'd still have room to move. Dorm faces a busy street, so bring earplugs

Pablo is the best! Erica led a great tour. I would recommend this to ANY friend looking for a cheap place to stay in Madrid. Clean facilities, nice staff, AND activities to do with other people staying there! Nothing.

This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in - very clean, well organized, lovely rooms (we stayed in the doubles), great location and views from the windows of beautiful Spanish buildings. We were put on a floor with a huge groups of young people, who partied hard and very late! This is one of the risks of staying in a hostel (on a Saturday night), but given that there are 5 floors of rooms, perhaps people like us (middle aged couple) could be put on a floor with similar lame-o's?

After 2 months of travelling I found just 2 hostels is will be back - Uhostel Madrid is one of them! Disigned in a fresh art-deco, this hostel has big & cosy rooms (I used 6-girly and 12-mixed rooms without any doubt), comfortable new beds, excellent showers with high pressure of hot water, modern very felicitous chill-out zone and extremely friendly dining area. If you will be lucky to meet Pablo - he will make your day/ evening/ night! He always knows exactly how to make your time in Madrid happy. Even if you are very busy, don't lose possibility to go to a drunkie-walkie, it includes amazing 4-5 disco- bars (I don't even remeber how much:) to spent the night dancing with new hostel-friends from all over the world. My final thnx to the friendly stuff, that keep Uhostel in extra clean and cozyness.

This hostel was fabulous! I booked it based on other reviews, which I found were very accurate. Room was clean, bathrooms were spotless, and the location was great - right between two metro stops that connected with multiple metro lines. Free wifi, computer in the lounge area that was always available. It's too bad this hostel is not a chain, because I would definitely stay here if it was in other cities! Unfriendly/harsh staff - because I didn't know Spanish, the person at the desk treated me with a rude attitude, which I think would have been less likely had I been fluent in Spanish. Breakfast is only two pieces of plain toast, some jam, and milk or juice (but better than nothing!).

To be honest, I was not expecting much from this hostel! But Uhostel is super modern, cool, confortable, the wifi works in the rooms, the bed is comfortable and the shower is the best of all hostels!! Best of all is the first day had only a super cool Venezuelan in my room and on the second night there was nobody, so the room was just for me heheh!!! The staff is ok, but what made my stay more enjoyable was the hostel guests who were REALLY awesome and sweet!! I met them at the Pub Crawl (that leaves the hostel every night at 10h30pm). Please go! The people (Alejandro, Emma and Bryant) who organize pubcrawl were super excited and so friendly! We went in a few bars quite far from the hostel (it was so cold and raining that night) but we survived. I recommend this hostel for those who want to enjoy the city in freestyle way! The hostel is not super close to the main attractions, but there are restaurants, shops and metro nearby. You have to give 10 euros as security deposit which will be returned when you check out and give back the sheets.

It´s a very clean hostel, for young people. If you´re traveling alone, it´s nice to know other lonely travelers, the hostel makes nice activities during the entire day. Sometimes the staff is not exactly solicitous.

The rooms are really cute and there is a cubby at the headboard of the bunkbeds which made it Really convenient to keep your little items like water bottle keys etc. Two things. I was in a shared room On the top bunk the stairs to the bunkbed are really small so they're very uncomfortable and difficult to climb my roommates also had trouble. I have stayed another hostels on the top bunk they werent this bad, get a bottom bunk. They give you 2 top sheets and a pillowcase but there's a flat sheet already on the bed And they don't change it Inbetween visitors, maybe that's ok with a fitted sheet on top but not two flat sheets, thumbs down on their decision to not assign beds and change flat sheets in group rooms.

The hostel offers leisure activities including an original flamenco evening, a pub crawl, a free city tour and lots of more activity which were mainly organized by Pablo and Erika. These activities made my stay exceptional good and I wish both of them further success in their work. All the best
