In Seville’s charming Santa Cruz neighborhood, this attractive historic building has a rooftop terrace overlooking the city.
Score from 1123 reviews Very good
Convento la Gloria is a restored 15th-century convent. It features a typical Andalusian patio, and some rooms offer excellent views of Seville Cathedral and Giralda Tower, just 300 ft away.
Score from 562 reviews Very good

Doña Manuela Casa Modesto is located between the Santa Cruz neighborhood and Seville’s old Jewish quarter, next to the Murillo Gardens.

Location is excellent. Within walking distance of all major tourist attractions, bars and restaurants. Very pretty reception area.
Room was quite small and basic. Bathroom was also a bit cramped and the grouting around the shower tray had a bit of mould and could be cleaned up. No option to buy breakfast at all.
Place was well located Clean room (never turned on the TV) Lots of Hot water :) Great value for money Free Wifi
The first staff member to greet us was quite rude but the second was very nice It rained during the night and so the ONLY chair at the reception desk was completely wet and they made no effort to fix this for the benefit of the guests!
A great roof terrace in a very good location.
staff, clean and good location
When we arrived at the reception, we got to choose between rooms number 2 and 3 which are located at the first floor, just into the reception area. These rooms have no windows and are more suitable for cleaning or storage purposes, not for sleeping within – if you will book a room at this hotel make sure that you will not get one of these 2 rooms, noisy because of the reception activities (both are 1 m distance away from the reception desk and also wall to wall to the elevator) and also kind of claustrophobic ones (for not having any kind of exterior windows). We couldn’t cancel the reservation and we had to stay there for one night but did not rest properly.
The hotel its self is nice and modern has an arty feel to it. The roof terrace is really nice. The receptionist was nice. The room was compact but well laid out and didnt feel too small. There are 2 attic rooms 12 and 12a 12 is furthest from the lift. Ask for directions to Rinconcillo its the oldest tapas bar in Sevilla there is a plaza behind it with other tapas bars which are of better quality and offer better variety and value for money than the ones close to the hotel.
The bed was way too soft. If you want a drink on the terrace dont buy from reception 2.50 euros for a small beer. In the supermarket 0.50 euros...
the front desk was superb nice price quality. the location
My room was next to the elevator and not sound prove anytime the elevator door open we waked up.
Lovely and helpful staff. Romantic place and well positionned. Excellent choice to go.
A few times people were being noisy at the corridor of the entrance and you can hear quite well but this is minor issue and didnt last long.
Great value for money, centric, very nice staff and the best bar for friendly flamenco - El Mariscal -around the corner (opens at 23:30).
Great hotel in a fantastic location. There is so much to see all around the area.
I would recomend that they buy new pillows. they would have to be the worst we had on our whole Europe trip.
Great location, great value for money, nice rooftop terrace
The room had a really small window looking at the reception, so the room was a bit stuffy and not so private when you open the window
Nice staff, great location, lovely terrace
Our room was an internal room and had no window!!! Not at all what we expected! Did not go to Spain to look at 4 walls!!!
Location was pretty good & central. We left the car at the public car park, paid approx €21 per day and that suited as fine as we only stayed 1 night.
We thought we got a great deal as we booked the last bedroom (non-refundable) at a rate of €45!!! Sadly, the room was very small, but what was really bad was the fact that was less than 2 meters from the reception counter, right next to the lift and opposite the "pátio" where everybody could have free coffee. Ah... we also had a very narrow window... our view was directly to the reception hall. We noted our disappointment to the receptionist and he even made a joke, saying that at such a cheap rate we could not expect anything better. Perhaps he was right, we got a great price, but had we known that we would be staying at the reception (literally), we would have booked elsewhere... regardless of the fee.
The hotel is nice, but the rooms at the same floor as the reception desk are without windows. That's just silly. Not to mention incredibly claustrophobia-inducing.
It was hot and stuffy in the room but we did'nt want air conditioning - we opened the window at night and were bitten by mosquitoes! The television stations were all in Spanish. I requested something in English ( a news channel like BBC,SKY or CNN) but it never happened
Enjoying an afternoon drink on the rooftop terrace/patio - a wonderful setting for experiencing the feel of the city. The cleanliness of the room was noted, and of course, the location in the heart of Santa Cruz was ideal.
There was no hot water for morning showers, which was miserable. A larger hot water heater is definitely needed.
The proximity to the once a year Fairia bus and good restaurants. Rooms 12 and 12 a open onto the infrequently used roof top deck effectively tripling your room size with views of the Cathedral tower. The maid turned our AC on after we had forgotten so we can back from a long day to a perfectly chilled room!
Like everywhere in Europe make sure to use a credit card that does not charge foreign transaction fees and then make sure the hotel charges in Euros. This hotel charged me in US dollars without me realizing it which can add 2% to your bill.
Its location. Its terrace which was the only place where we felt alright.
The room was not comfortable at all. Not a table or desk, only one chair, the windows too close to the lift, so very little privacy. No windows in the bathroom.
Our third floor room opened onto a whitewashed rooftop garden with a view of the church tower. Complimentary coffee could be enjoyed there each morning. The room was small but adequate and the staff friendly and helpful. You can get a good breakfast at the end of the street at 'la Tapateria' for under 10€.
Initially we had back pain with the bed but we put our pillows up the other end and slept with our toes at the bed head and it was all good.
Very very comfortable and close to the city center! Great location, beautiful roof garden!!
Good location in the old town
Single room is too small without windows towards outside
Very nice authentic building, with an interior patio. Really charming. The top roof terrace has an amazing view over the city, and is relaxing area. Great location in the old barrio de Santa Cruz.
The room we got was smaller than we assumed, and than the pictures showed. Our tiny room window looked at the inner patio, and also was just next to the elevator, so there was quite some noise. We did ask for an interior room, so nothing to blame. Probably the rooms with window on the street side (a small narrow street so no cars at all), might be a bit less noisy.
Great location - in a walking distance from main sights. Several direction guides are placed on the nearest streets which is really helpful when you're looking for the hotel. The entrance is from a tiny picturesque street - one of those postcard looking like streets with colourful buildings and flowers. A number of bars and restaurants just around the corner. Room is also nice, clean and air conditioned.
Room was unluckily on the 1st floor and giving into the street. We could hear everything that happened at the lobby and all the noise from the street.
