This peaceful retreat is in the historic town of Sepúlveda, midway between Madrid and Burgos, in the Castilla y León region. Free private parking, elevator and free Wi-Fi are available. The Hoces del Río Duratón Natural Park is 5 minutes' walk from the Vado del Duratón Hotel. The park is home to rare birds, such as griffon vultures. The town's Tourist Information Centre is also nearby and La Pinilla Ski Resort is 30 km away. Vado del Duratón offers attractive bedrooms with air conditioning and heating, as well as photos and paintings of Sepúlveda. There is also a TV room, a games room and various lounges. The Duratón restaurant serves traditional cuisine, including roast suckling lamb. Reservation is recommended. For breakfast, typical sweets from Sepúlveda are offered. In addition, a professional massage service, facial, aromatherapy and beauty treatments are available for an extra cost. A great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very comfortable and clean, plus it had wonderful views over the roofs of Sepulveda. The hotel offers a very good buffet breakfast. Next time we will stay longer!

The staff were very friendly, the room very nice, there were great views from the restaurant and breakfast room. We had a great meal at the restaurant. The town specialties are roasted suckling pig and roasted suckling lamb. The location of the hotel is great - Sepulveda is a very pretty walled medieval town, with nature walks starting a few meters from the hotel. The canyons of the Duraton park have abundant spectacular griffon vultures that can be seen on a walk from the hotel, and at other access points to the park like the San Frutos hermitage.

Lovely room, excellent bathroom with both shower and jacuzzi bath. Roof windows don't give a panoramic view, but this is a small point.

The excellent receptionist who could not have been more helpful. No restaurant facilities despite having followed the instructions on the website and ordered food when booking. The alternative restaurant was a fair walk from the hotel (I have a bad knee) and much too expensive for what was offered.

Excellent location. On booking they e-mailed PDF's of lots of things about Sepulveda which were very useful. The restaurant provided an excellent tradtional meal..

The reception was very friendly and really felt they were happy to have us as guests. Got also good recommendations for evening walk and also instructions how to visit the National Park located on the same region. Unfortunately the famous hotel restaurant was closed during our stay, but helpful staff gave recommendation where the get the excellent lamb for which the town is famous for.

Friendly and helpful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. It was our second visit and just as enjoyable as the first. The restaurant associated with the hotel is only open at weekends, so it is necessary to go into Sepuveda itself to eat. There are limited opportunities for 'cheaper' meals such as menus del dia.

What a wonderful place! Hotel perfectly situated to enjoy this lovely pueblo. Now a firm favourite of the many " stopovers" we have enjoyed around Spain. We'll be back! I would like to have stayed longer.

The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the Plaza. The staffs are friendly and helpful also some staff speakes English. The free private car park is 50m away and signed for the restaurant's customers only but we can park there. We stayed this hotel twice and always happy.

The location which is ideal for exploring the Hoces del Rio Duraton. I stayed on a Wednesday night and for some reason all the restaurants were closed that evening. Only place I could get food was in a local bar.

Very nicely run hotel, good rooms and very pleasant staff. A very enjoyable stay! As I say a very enjoyable stay and everything was really good.

Nice located hotel with cozy rooms and everything new. Complete spanish breakfast with typicall pastries of the town. Staff was friendly and really helpful. The only problem I found is that the heating of the room was by air, making a lot of noise and making difficult to rest well. I hope they fix it because I find this a big issue.
