Hotel Valdecoro  

Greta location; lovel views. We were initially put in a room "in the Gods" but we changed to a spacious room with a weire 4 poster (without drapes; just the frame ?!) The parking behind the hotel was free and secure also not covered). A 5 minute walk into the town is well worth it with loads of great restaurants and bars.

The coach loads of tourists were rather noisy and whilst this is not the fault of the hotel, some consideration to other guests should have bene shown.

The room was cozy and clean, with a view of the beautiful mountains and sheep grazing in the back. The staff was very helpful, and even let us cancel our last night when we realized we had miscalulated and had to catch a train. Probably the most helpful thing a hotel staffer did for us on our entire trip through Spain! Thank you!

The restaurant was a little overpriced, but breakfast was included and was delicious.

Handy for Potes and surrounding areas,friendly staff good location ,just ask for a room at the rear as its on a busy road,had two nights here and found it good value and spotlessly clean.

No aircon which was ok for the time we stayed as it wasnt that hot ,road noise at front so a rear room would be desirable.

Perfect location, slightly out of town, but only a 5 minute walk. Parking available without any charge. Good size rooms and ensuites. Lovely breakfasts and friendly, helpful staff. Fully recommended.

No airconditioning, room was very hot even at the end of season (September). Noisy road at front of hotel (made worse by having to leave the windows open).

Austere but pleasing and reasonably spacious newly done bedroom and shower room. Free and easily accessed wifi. Simple but generous breakfast at moderate price. No difficulty in finding parking space.

Bedroom became too warm during the day (in a warm spell) - this was probably due to the fact that it was on the top floor and so the warmth came up from lower down.

We have just returned from a two week motorbike holiday in northern Spain, staying at six different locationsl. This hotel was by far the best value for money, with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Rooms very well designed and decorated. There was parking around the back of the hotel where we kept our bike. The kitchen staff obviously kept an eye on it for us as, when my husband went to get something from it late one night, he was approached by the staff to see what he was doing. Great location on the edge of Potes with a nice walk into town which offered great eating and drinking choices. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Excellent value for money and really deserves a higher star rating. Very clean, comfortable hotel and I´d definitely stay there again. Breakfast was OK and was included in the price. Unfortunately restaurant was too expensive for us to try.

Hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful, from the Reception Desk to the waiters and cleaners. The rooms were spacious and clean.(but no aircon) ,so just open the shutters, if required. Breakfast was good with a varied choice of food and drink from fruit juice, water, tea or coffee and cereals, toast, yogurts and cakes.The menu del dia at 15 euros was available , if required. The lounge was comfortable with nice relaxing chairs and sofas and a TV if required. Wi-Fi was available downstairs, for those who have their own laptops. The downstairs bar location was ideal with good street views and the prices were fair. The was adequate car parking facilities at the side and rear of the Hotel. The views from the Hotel were stunning and was easily a 3 STAR and not a 2 STAR..

The only thing that was missing was air con facilities in the bedrooms(a minor point)

Good hotel. We staid at the frontside of the building and didn't have any noise in the room from the busy street. Excellent breakfast. Very good location to visit the Picos de Europa...

Small minus is that the staff didn't speak English but we coped with that as they were very friendly.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is enormous. This is my second visit. The food is excellent. The lady is a fantastic chef! The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel is in a nice setting. I have recommended this hotel to all my friends.

The hotel was well placed on the outskirts of Potes. The room was comfortable and clean. It was on the second floor but access was easy as there was a lift. There was a good choice of breads,cereals, fruit and pastries for breakfast. One of the features in many Spanish hotels is an electric light that stays on all night, presumable for safety reasons. We found the light too bright and interfered with our sleep. Upon mentioning this to the hotel staff, they agreed to relocate us to another room where the light whilst still there was at a lower level. We appreciated this service.

Friendly, non-English-speaking staff (no problem)

It was virtually empty - and we were the only ones at dinner in a huge restaurant. No one in the bar area either. So rather depressing as a centre but cannot criticise in any other way.

The location was good and the price was right.

It did not have an outside leisure area.

Very good hotel conveniently siuated on the edge of town

A good hotel, the rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Hotel is located on the edge of Potes, so a 5 minute stroll into town. There is off-road parking behind the hotel. Good value for money compared to other hotels in Potes.

Perfect location - within walking distance of Potes centre friendly,efficient, good value for money.

Unfortunately the restaurant on the premises - which was one of the reasons why we chose this hotel - seems to open on week-ends only. The reception was very helpful in advising us in finding a place where to eat..
