The simpathy of the staff, very kind and hepful, an old Palace, in a old town, and right next door tithe wonderful Catheral and city walls.

We have choosen a double bed, when I have made reservation, and they havent, only have twin beds

Absolutely beautiful and charming place, great location. Wonderful staff who obviously cares about and is proud of the property. Ramon went out of his way to help us. Given what is offered, the price is excellent.

Everything was very good, would definitely come back to this hotel.

The restaurant was not so pleasent, the wall papers in the room are a lttle old. Better not to have loud neighbors.

Location and the friendlyness of the staff. In particular the evening receptionist, he was most helpfull and very friendly

The hotel is tierd and in need of refurbishment. The door key had to be wiggled quite a bit to poen the door

The building was very interesting, rustic and a nice place to stay in. A comforatble lounge and bar with good staff throughout. Nice breakfast as well.

As mentioned on the comments sheet our bath needed a little work on, New sealant required which would also improve the look and cleanliness.

Everything is perfect

Thew Palacio is inside the 2000 year old city wall of avila, spain-- right across from the Cathedral. A bit hard to find do to the restricted traffic flow of the old town, but worth the effort. The room was very nice and the staff were very professional & helpful.

Hotel is in disrepair, it's hard to get to the entrance by car because of traffic management (one-way streets mostly).

Lovely location within the walls of Avila. Convenient for all tourists. Plenty of restaurants nearby. R oom Staff very help full and informative. safe car parking. s warm, beds comfortable, ours had lovely views of the city walls.

It is no more than a 2 star UK type of hotel. The quality of furnishings in the lounges is unbelievable with sofas in such a bad condition and fraying all over. The restaurant is very uninviting with a very untidy office at the entrance. The food is very poor, on our first day(of three), a coach load of people had already had breakfast and there was no indication that any more food was going to be provided- one slice of tomato on a platter,five bits of water melon on another and the scrambled egg was just awful. And all the time one waiter pushing a very noisy trolley around collecting dishes and also laying up for the next meal-why could this not have been done after breakfast was over. And to top it all I have never ever had a bedroom, that although was very dated was clean,where the toilet and bidet and part of the bath were actually in the next bedroom, as was the bedroom on the other side was in our bedroom.

I was not happy with the directions to the hotel, the air conditioning and the fact they had 100 people on a tour and ran out of food. Othether than that it was just ok

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the entire of the old town and right next door tithe wonderful Catheral and city walls. Yuan drive up and drop luggage off then ark outside the city walls. The hotel was gracious and comfortable. Maybe a little dated but definitely not shabby.

Shower was not fabulous and the bathroom towels were small.

A shame that the hotel was undergoing renovation so some rooms were inaccessible. Perfect position next to the Cathedral. Parking on the streets was a little complicated, it was easy to get lost, but worth battling through. Locals were very helpful and friendly !

The room was a spacious twin room and restrained period style - wallpaper even!. Although the room looked at the side of the Cathedral, there were no bells and it was very quiet - you could leave the windows open all night. Although a medieval weekend on that weekend, this was an afternoon thing, not all night party noise. I actually ate in the basement hotel restaurant, as I was too tired to do anything else, and it was quite good (I do not normally do hotel restaurants) but this was pretty solid traditional food. The price for my room - at a mid-week rate, I thought was very good for what I got.

Some might consider the bathroom somewhat dated (pink basin etc and curtained shower over bath )- but it went with the style of the whole building (it is an old palace after all).

This is a wonderful hotel. The location is perfect adjacent to the cathedral. The foyer is full of old paintings and suits of arnour and complements the city. I paid extra for the cava option which was on ice when we arrived. The staff were very helpful in directing me to a parking place. The room was excellent.

Very economical and well located in a fabulous city.

Rather jaded and in need of a refit, but still good considering a very economical price. Breakfast room without windows [effectively] is rather depressing.

Please, make the pictures displayed on-line match with real rooms. I was disapointed when i enter in the room.

The hotel was situated in the centre of Avila which was excellent for visiting all of the sites.

Location close to the cathedral. Historical whilst being extremely comfortable. It was only an overnight stop on our way to Asturias but we will be back

The location is great! Avila is a beautiful old city and the hotel is on the best spot! It has the grandeur of the old palace. The entrance and the facilities on the ground floor are really how it used to be as a palace.

The room was okay but a little "lost glory". Loose wallpaper, old waterspots etc. The bed was good!
