Great location, across the bridge from the heart of the old city. Also the design of the hotel was very interesting and beautiful.

Fabulous view of cathedral. Superb location for visiting old town. Modern, bright well-appointed rooms. Weren't disturbed by noise despite being on main road.

The location is great. The bed was comfy.

My shower was broken, part of it came away from the wall and I thought it was going to hit me on the head and so I had to hold onto it whilst showering. When I mentioned this as I checked out to ask for a small discount of 10euros the member of staff was very unhelpful and never even apologised for the problem. He said he couldn't give me a discount as he only worked there. He said there was nobody available to help because it was a Sunday. I thought this was ridiculous - it's a hotel and the weekends are usually their busiest time. So I asked him to call the duty manager who should be able to as all I wanted was a 10euro discount for my discomfort. He said there was nobody available to help. I was astounded and told him that all hotels have duty managers on call to deal with such issues so he should phone his. He then rang somebody (not his boss) and he then proceeded to tell me the person he'd just had a conversation with couldn't speak as they were in church. I don't appreciate being lied to - I was a paying customer. There is no way she was in church as her phone would've been on silent. They then offered me a coffee. If they could give me free coffee they could give me 10euros off the cost of the room. I had to pay the full cost and I still received no apology for the problems. I would NOT recommend this hotel to other travellers. The value for money was very poor. I'm very disappointed as other reviews painted it in such positive light.

The hotel has a superb location, close to the principal historic sites and good restaurants, taperías, bars, and stores. My room had a terrific view of the cathedral, the river and the promenade alongside, and the sculpted main gate into the cathedral square. The facilities are very modern and comfortable, even though my room would have to be described as "compact." The reception staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The buffet breakfast is decent. And the price is right.

The stall shower is a bit small, and the bathroom is small too, but the bathroom facilities are high-tech and nice just the same.

Nice location close to all the major historical and cultural attractions, and to river-walk; tastefully done relatively small but comfortable rooms; cute, modern design in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Good value for the money at the restaurant

The immediate area (Vega Plaza) does not look attractive, but probably safe

Location. Although the new part of town looks dirty and unfriendly, to get to the old part one just has to cross the bridge. The staff is young friendly folks. Everything is clean and tidy.

The bathroom is basically a glass cube installed right into the room. And thought the glass is actually non-transparent THE DOOR DOES NOT SHUT and there's always a gap between the door and the doorway. I really do know very few people who can stand such level of privacy.

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Via Gotica, perfect position for visiting Burgos town. Excellent little coffee shop attached to the Hotel and a long stay car park is just across the road. Rooms were very well equipped, lovely modern bathroom. Would definitely stay here again

Would have liked our food in the restaurant to have been hotter.

The stay were great, especially rachel and carmen, who helped me out when I was feeling unwell and made a fuss of me. I stayed in room 404 and had a good sized room with a lovely bath, suprising the staff by prefering the bath to a view of the catherdral!

Our room overlooked the cathedral and Pta Sta Maria. Stunning. Very easy to find, and unbelievably convenient to the historic center.

Yes, the location - asked for Cathedral view and got corner room 303 which certainly fills that requirement! Even though right on a busy road corner the double glazing manages to keep out the traffic noise. The design and decor is very bright and modern and stylish - very much Room- Mate style but at a budget price. Netbook in room, but I had my own laptop so this was preferable. Burgos historic centre is small so a simple walk across the bridge covers most.

Downstairs staff look after the desk and the cafe so there might be slight delay there. Their English not an issue for me. Separate wifi devices require separate logins but this is manageable. I paid the 5e for breakfast, which I rarely do and it was adequate, not great - coffee and croissant in the cafe, my usual option, might have been better option. The bus station might be close, but the new rail station (my old guide book had old location near bus) is miles away and requires a bus from Plaza de Espagna - so plan ahead.

We loved the view. Directly to the Burgos Cathedral. We traveled with our elderly parents, so it was wonderful for them to be across the cathedral. Wonderful view at night from the room! Excelent price for location. Neat rooms!
