Beds were wonderfully comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Basic but all you need. Great location ideal for city and beach. Good value for money. Pleasant staff. No complaints at all. Would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

Excellent position in the heart of Malaga. Room request for street facing were met. Room spacious, clean and comfortable! The staff did not speak or understand English; but luckily this was not a problem.

Location is perfect in city centre, cathedral 5 min walk, busstation 20 min, beach 15 min. Good soundproofing but some noise from the stairs, bring earplugs. Bathroom is not too small. Hotel is in an old fashioned style but very new. Good beds. No lobby or something. Nothing really, but rooms on the 1st floor get some minor noise from reception. Expect nothing special here.

This was our second visit to Hostal Victoria (last visit Nov 2006) - fantastic location - basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable and in the best possible location for sightseeing and getting around. Just step outside the door and everything is there for you!

We have stayed at the Hostal Victoria many times, always friendly very helpful, clean and comfortable. It is right in the heart of the city. Easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Only thing I would like is more pillows and softer, but not a big issue.

Good central location just off the main shopping street and close to the Cathedral and many bars and restaurants nearby. Looks a bit grim from outside - but don't be put off, inside is clean and comfortable.

Location. It's really right in the centre. However, if you have a car, forget about finding the right street or parking spot. It is impossible. The staff didn't speak English at all. Not even the basic phrases. Internet had two networks and none of them was working properly. The rooms was really (but really) small and the view was to the opposite wall which was one meter away. For the money paid, we had enjoyed in Spain much better accomodations (even for less).

The location The staff do not speak english. Room service was coming everyday at the same time and if you were in the room at the time they do not clean the room. It was for all our stay, so I cannot tell nothing about their work. The air conditioner was loud so we need to sleep with airplugs.

The location of the hostel is incredibly good, it is right at the seaside-end of the main street. Besides, the room we got is cosy, a little dark, but comfortable, and with the air conditioning and the closed windows it was comfortable for a good night sleep after a long day. Also, if we went out at night, the staff was ready whenever we got back. Well, as we didn't speak Spanish, it was hard to converse with the staff, but since there was no problem, we managed. But this is all, apart from not speaking any other language but Spanish, the staff was quite nice, understood the few words we picked up during our stay, the rooms were acceptably clean, and all in all, the hostel gave us what we expected. We had a nice stay there.

The location is close to the cathedral and main shopping area in malaga, very convenient. The room is clean and price is reasonable as well. The wifi hostal provides is not available in the room area, not the same as the description on website, but it's okay in the lobby. I think it might be the only one disadvantage I came across while staying there.

Friendly, clean and central. I have stayed in many hostels in the world and the Spanish ones are the first ones I've come across that don't offer tea and coffee making facilities. I think this would be a great improvement to the comfort of the stay and enhance the experience.

Its situation being so close to the hub of Malaga is unbeatable. Also, at the price we paid we were more than satisfied. The room had a double bed and in the 4 nights we stayed the bed was changednonce and the towels everyday. The toilet consisted of w.c., bidet, hand basin and shower/bath. The concierge(s) while not speaking English were never the less most helpful

Walking distance from the Cercania station (suburb train system connecting downtown Malaga to the airport.) Situated in the heart of the city with easy access to monuments of interests, restaurants and shopping area. Very safe. Ideal hotel for 2 or 3 nights. Lacking eating facilities. Only one vending machine.
