Villa Emilia  

The hotel is outside the bustling city center but is only a few metro stops away from Ramblas etc. You should expect that if you stay here, you'll use the metro a lot. The two of us went through almost two T 10 tickets during a 5 night stay in Barcelona. If you prefer to walk, it is about 20 minutes to the center. To a person, the day shift staff was always helpful, friendly and kind. It did not concern them that our Spanish was nearly non existent. Of the three hotels that we stayed in while we were in Spain, this was the best value. The hotel is modern, has some nice design points, is comfortable and in a nice neighborhood. We ate twice in the hotel restaurant, where the staff was also very kind and accommodating.

The time spent on the Metro might be a consideration for some.

Villa Emilia is a lovely boutique hotel very well situated and very well maintened.staff is very friendly and breakfeast is delicious!my husband and me will definitly go back :-).

Nice modern hotel. Cool design. Very nice buffet breakfast. Very nice staff. good location close to metro and walking distance to La Rambla and the Museum of Modern Art.

Ask for a top floor room if you're a light sleeper because it's on a busy street. Only one soap, one little bottle each of shampoo, lotion, and shower gel even though we stayed for 3 nights. They could have given us an extra one of each on the 2nd day.

The staff at the reception was very professional and friendly, our special thanks to Tatiana. The room was tastefully designed and very clean. Wide comfortable bed. Good breakfast - fresh juice, fruit, nice selection of cheese and spanish ham, good service. Live music at the bar and restaurant in the evening, the singer and the pianists were very good.

The bathroom was not very convenient, the water splashed on the floor, not enough hooks for towels.

It is a nice botique hotel, very well located. La Rumbla is about 20 mins walk. The hotel is new and clean. The rooms are nice with good furniture. The bathroom is clean and modern. The desk staf was friendly and helpful.

The internet was hard to connect to. The breakfast menu can be improved. Although the Breakfast service was very nice.

It is beautifully appointed, so a visual respite from busy sightseeing. It was a pleasure to come back, to have a coffee break at 5 with nice bites, to use the terrace for a look around. The staff at breakfast was always busy and efficient, too. I loved the aromatherapy. The hotel was small and very easy to navigate. I thought the staff really felt involved and eager to assist.

I think it's a funny shower set up as the floor gets very wet, but that's really not an issue. A little slippery though!

terrace didn't have the heaters working and it was beautiful but too cold to stay there very long, low quality shampoo, soap, etc

Situated just outside the busy city centre but within easy reach of everything. The Rocafort Metro is literally a 2 min walk from the door. The hotel is beautifully presented throughout. The room was very well appointed and immaculately clean. The staff were friendly and helpful despite our lack of Catalan or Spanish. The complimentary coffee & pastry every day from 4 - 7pm was a lovely touch for people returning from a busy day of sight-seeing in need of relaxing & re-energising. I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough, it was a pleasure to stay there. The only criticism my partner could come up with was that the pillows are more like cushions & he found them difficult to sleep on. I didn't find this to be an issue.

The hotel was beautiful. The fireplace in the dinning area was very nice, tea in the afternoon and the staff was excellent!

Good location - close to the city center and rather quiet. Friendly and professional staff. Comfort and good facilities for acceptable money.
