Very nice hotel excellent large rooms

I read a few negative comments beforehand about the hotel not being of a high standard. I found everything satisfactory and would certainly use the hotel again for a Malaga break.

we liked the location of the hotel - it was easy to get to from the airport and central to the old part of the city. we liked the bed linen (but twin beds and sheets/blankets so others may not)

we did not like the noisy location of the hotel - it fronts on to a busy road which combined with night-time deliveries is very noisy, we asked for a quiet room and this is not what we got so had to move rooms (thankfully one was available). we did not like the lack of an outside space - the patio is internal which with no view is not an atrractive place to sit, and the pool area is small and there are only 3 loungers. we did not like the lack of any tea/coffee making facilities in the room or the price of the room service and mini bar.

The staff were incredibly helpful, the junior suite a pleasure to stay in, and the breakfast was really good for both the adults and our 17 month old daughter.

The room service menu is very limited but fortunately there's an El Corte Ingles nearby if you want to eat in the room (necessary sometimes when you're travelling with infants).

great hotel, beautiful rooms, clean, modern design. one of the best hotels I ever stayed, and I have slept in quite a lot.

MODERN HOTEL WITH ALL FACILITIES. PLEASANT STAFF. Good food and reasonably priced drinks. Car park at a fair price.

I liked the friendliness of the staff and the location of the hotel which was 10minute walk from the centre. The hotel was light and airy with white marble floors to greet you in th foyer at the end of a busy day in the heat. Clean and very comfortable room on the first floor, although no view this was not a problem.The staff were so friendly and helpful, I would definitiely go back to this hotel.

Paid for an upgrade to a junior suite and really enjoyed the outside space it had. Really nice rooftop pool and location - 5 minute stroll to main shopping area, felt perfectly safe walking around the city centre area and the hotel environs.

Did not take breakfast as it was not included, even in the price of the junior suite, and it was expensive (£12 per person). Some of the room mini bar prices also took breath away- 15 Euro for a little bottle of standard cava, although a glass from hotel bar only 3 euro.

A very modern and functional Hotel well positioned in the old city and close to all attractions.

when arrived they required an extra payment for the third bed. when I booked I asked specifically a room for three adult (as your confirmation says) could you please let me know why an extra charged is been asked?

Well located, halfway between the modern city and the historical area. Very nice and spacious room, with big windows and nice and modern decoration. Both bathrobes and slippers were provided. In-house garage. Small museum in the basement (arab and roman walls). Excellent price for the quality!

The location

By no means a five star - how could it be rated as such?? A good four star in a good location - possibly a copy of Las Arenas in Valencia? Not a good copy with small bedrooms and very limited facilities. We wanted to speak to a Manager but none could be found (for three days!) Good location and excellent staff but no way are rooms up to five star standard. We were offered a room with a cot in it,why??

We used the shower gel, soap and shampoo as well as the moisturised and it was not replenished daily. I do not expect to have to pack these items when travelling to europe.

Breakfast is good and has a good variety. Staff are cordial and helpful.

For a five star, it lacks the expected lustre. Bathrooms are not that posh and could have been cleaner. Blankets were used instead of quilts and were way too warm. Water heating kettle and tea in the room would have been good. The rooms were a bit dull. The fabric on chairs was not as clean. The restaurant and bar are small and limited in choice. Sauna, steam, saloon etc. would have been nice to have. Overall - it does not come across as a five star experience.
