Vincci Selección RumaykiyyaUrbanización Sol y Nieve S/N, 18196 Sierra Nevada (Show map) Good, Score from 159 reviewsThe only 5-star hotel in the Sierra Nevada resort of Monachil, this hotel enjoys ski-to-door access to the local slopes. Onsite, ample ski storage space is available, as well as a comfortable Alpine lounge and treatment area. There is also a ski rental store on-site. Rooms at the hotel all offer views of spectacular surrounding mountains. Each one features exposed wooden beams reminiscent of a traditional mountain lodge. This seasonal hotel is open between December and April. Hotel Rooms: 66, Hotel Chain: Vincci Hoteles.

The staff made the trip bearable - very nice respectful and pleasant - Reception poor though and "Director" quick to blame his own staff. Elevator and fire Escape proceedure poor/inadequate Management and reception leave a lot to be desired for a 5* Hotel as does the lack of 'included extras' which one normally finds in a Hotel like this. There is only one lift to access hotel rooms and ski lockers - long wait and impossible in the mornings. Ate 1 night in hotel - no Al a Carte and the buffet style main meal expensive and just edible but cold. Breakfast good. Hotel transport to and from village (only way after 5.00pm) was slow and badly organised but staff excellent. Would rather stay in Grananda next time or one of the other 4* Hotels in Pradallano like the Melia - which is far far above the standard of the Rumaykiyya

I didn't like noise in this hotel. I didn't like the location. I felt isolated. Was very boring and nothing what to do at evenings. The tv didn't have any English channels. The breakfast was quite poor like for 5 stars hotel.

Even though I had booked for 3 nights, they let me stay only 1 because the weather & the forecast was bad for skiing. They allowed me to change the other 2 nights to early April. Our 3 bedded room had only been prepared for 2 people

The locattion and the furniture. Very bad service for a 5 star hotel. There is no culture on employes to performe a high level service. We heard a lot of noise in the rooms from the employes and from the bathrooms of the others rooms.

The hotel is clearly the prettiest in the area. The shuttle service was very good. Parking! I was told there was parking outside the hotel. I managed to find a space about 80m from the entrance to the hotel. However this was not parking for the hotel and my car was towed away and I was given a very large fine. This should be made clear by reception.

Location I was extremely disappointed having booked a triple room for three adults to find on arrival that the third bed was a sofa bed. This was not identified during the course of my booking and was highly unsatisfactory given the high price we paid for the room. I would not class this as a 5 star Hotel by any standard either so it was very disappointing given that this was what I had paid for.

Very friendly staff, and getting a lift pass directly from the front desk was a blessing. The ski hire was also a great feature. I think it has a few more stars than it really deserves. The staff are great, but the actual hotel doesn't really warrant 5 stars. The rooms are not very 'warm', and you can hear everything around you due to non-existent sound proofing. The old elevator also makes quite a lot of noise. The food was a bit hit and miss. Nothing wrong with it, just doesn't warrant the prices.

There were so many things which were amazing! The fact that we did not experience any of the negative points raised by others who complained about the hotel on here was a relief. It is apparent to me that the hotel values it's guests and when there I was trying to find fault, but couldn't! A girl called Christina on reception who spoke good English was outstanding and helped explain the area and pointed us towards the hotel's own Ski-Hire shop which again was good. We had a problem with the tv in the room, and from calling reception to an engineer knocking at the door took less than 2 minutes! He fixed the electrical problem quickly which allowed us to watch the latest films (unlimited) and use the cabled internet which connected to the tv (would have been better near the work desk for me to be honest but it was ok), adult movies which of course I didn't watch! and also music on demand from loads of different genres etc, there was a charge of about £24 for all this which I know many would say is quite expensive but I didn't think so. As the hotel was quiet we were automatically upgraded to a superior room which had doors which opened out onto a massive balcony area where you could see the mountains, this was amazing. The restaurant was expensive, although the free breakfast was to die for, absolutely fantastic. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and this honestly was great! When I say expensive, I actually mean it was a very high class restaurant. Wherever you go you generally get what you pay for, the food was of the highest quality. Not a massive menu, but that's often the case when the food is so special. You really must try the food from the lunchtime menu. At dinner the starters and desserts are from a massive buffet. The ski-lift is outside the hotel door and therefore its probably the best placed quality hotel in the Sierra Nevada, I think I saw a spec of dust on the tv in the room, but that's it!

You can get out of the hotel Skiing and come back home skiing as well ! Very comfortable. In the last day you can make check out and after skiing, the hotel offers you the Spa to take a bath/Change. They have a Mini-Bus to take the customers to Pradollano Centre which is very convenient (you do not have to move the car) We got a Mountain view room (no viwe at all !), which was not mentioned in the reservation.

the service during our stay was excellent - everything we needed was there and anything extra the staff were only too happy to oblige! the location for the pistes was brilliant as was the ski locker and the room was very large and comfortable even with our 18mth old daughter running around! the only thing I can say was wrong with this hotel is that a childs play area was non existent despite being listed in the facilities as having a playground.

O no debe ofertar esas habitaciones o no debe tener cinco estrellas.
