parking places for car (extra charge)
Close by were some local shops & a metro station. A bit further away but not too far to walk was centre, bus station & train stations. On the Sunday am it was wet & guy on desk offered me use of a umbrella. I already had one but a very nice gesture. I would be more than happy to stay here either later this year or next year when I visit again.
You could hear people in other rooms close by but this appears to be a fairly common problem.
Very polite and helpful staff, good location.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful & spoke well english. The location of the hotel is quite central and noise level was low.
The doors in the rooms didn't have a very solid feeling to them and in general the online images of the hotel didn't entirely reflect the actual setting.
There was no view but all else was perfect. Place had n old world charm, class and style. Staff spoke English, very helpful and pleasant.
It was a nice old hotel, the value great for the money. I could walk to all the sights, as well as trains and buses to locations outside of Bilbao. staff spoke English, were polite, friendly and informative.
The only thing I can think of wAs some noise outside at night. But I just closed the window. Not a big deal.
The staff were really nice and helpful. The one lady especially gave me such good advice that it made my stay in Bilbao so much more enjoyable. I didn't even ask, she just offered. I was very grateful.
Friendly staff, nice central location, facilities good such as wifi, ensuite.
No air con, noisy street on weekends.
Really nice reception and very good price, next to the train station is very importante for traveling
Is a little old hotel and noisy,a little dangerous for single young girl because of the position
The staff was very friendly, and the location was excellent.
On our first morning in Vista Alegre, we found a dead cockroach on the floor. There was also a damp smell in the room, and no air conditioning to help us get rid of it.
Good staff but not totally ready to speak in english. Just one or two employers do it right. They don't serve fresh pastry for breakfast but in average I found it good and pleasant.
Is not easy to find because their number is not properly their own... just fews ahead!
It was quiet in our room and the rates were inexpensive.
The entrance to the hotel is right next to an 'adult' shop, which was interesting. It's quite a hike to the river and Guggenheim museum. Much further than I was expecting based on the description provided.
Perfect location and very friendly abd polite english speaking personnel. Ideal for 1-2 nights stop
The staff is warm and friendly
Staff pleasant. Clean room. Close to railway station.
Needs updating. 105 euros was alot to pay for old and worn furniture and decor. No lift and no offer of help carrying suitcases upstairs.
Based on the reviews, I thought we might be walking into a 70s time warp. However, we found everything reasonably modern (mountain style) and very comfortable. More importantly, the staff was awesome- very helpful, courteous, and understanding. Very highly recommend.
Nothing really. It's old but very comfortable.
Helpful staff. Reasonable proximity to the train station.
No lift. Hotel in need of renovation
The staff is really helpful and friendly
cockroaches in the room... The room was without windows. It was noisy from the street, bad wi-fi, in spring it was cold in the room. Price is not reasonable for such room at all.
Noisy from other guests, bath way too small. No lift, very basic. Hard to locate and car park a long way from reception.
The staff was very kind and helpfull. The room was clean.
The wifi connection was very bad.
The hotel served a purpose and did exactly what it said on the tin. As we were away on a lads weekend, the hotel was used simply as somewhere to put our heads down. The receptionists were very helpful, the cleaners pleasant and the room was clean. Couldn't ask for more than that.
Having to deal with the snoring of the people who accompanied me on the trip! In seriousness, can't complain about anything.
Nice hotel for a weekend stay, 10 minutes away from Plaza Moyua, near supermarket and cafes.
Loads of noise from the corridor.
Rooms were spacious, great value for the money, and clean. Only steps away was a café, major grocery store, and a fruit shop.
A little far from center, where shops and restaurants are, but still within walking distance or an inexpensive cab ride away.
proximity to center and sightseengs
old building and rooms are not wide
Great location, extremely nice, helpful staff at front desk at all times, good area maps and recommendations offered.
Very difficult to find with a map...Driving from France at night, we asked many people for directions in Bilbao ... finally some city workers LED us to the door. They said it was hard to find in the winding streets. Unfortunately extremely noisy hotel...cannot sleep in. No wall insulation from other room TVs, people coming in late slamming doors, wood floors allow you to hear everything above you and in the hall.
