everything was perfect except the lack of internet in the rooms..

it is not acceptable to pay a fee to get interenet in the room. This is a five stars hotel. Starbucks and motels have internet.. this is a necessity and should be provided for free everywhere in the hotel

Unique and distinctive architecture. Fabulous panoramic view from our room #1614. Were upgraded from Wonderful to Fabulous room, which was much appreciated as view is vastly better. Wave Restaurant is excellent, and Souad is an excellent hostess. A most enjoyable stay.

Complimentary internet only available in main lobby. There was a delay in locating our car keys at departure. Location on seafront is quite removed from Barri Gothic, Passeig de Gracia, and Las Ramblas. However, nearby cableway provides easy access to Montjuic sights.

The staff was amazing, the breakfast buffet--paid for in advance--was very good and the staff was accommodating. And, in the case of Barcelona, the location was superior. The workout facilities were also very nice.

The pricing for supplemental items were a bit out of line. And the fact that some bottles of water in the room were complimentary and other identical ones were not I found to be a bit tricky. Also, Parking was too expensive for hotel guests. At these rates, this seemed unnecessary

Very very Nice hôtel, design and near the beach

The huge influx of young well educated/informed made our life much easier. The view towards the sea was marvelous; nothing better than waking up in the morning having the sight of the sea at your disposal.

Our rooms were not ready yet, as the Barcelona Team was holding 2 floors till 19:00. So we got an upgrade to the Extreme Wow Suite! 295 m2 4 room appartement on the 25th floor! Amazing room. W hotel knew how to turn things right to the extreme.

That we could not stay longer!

The fabulous room was gorgeous! The view stunning, the bed so comfortable. The room service was very quick and efficient!

The hotel is noisy and the music heard in rooms. The night after a party, some bottles left in the corridors was poor image to the hotel

The brekfast price in increadible expencive! 30€ per person and actually very poor breakfast. Service at breakfast not correspond to 5* Hotel. Not very confortable rooms - wash basin directly in sleeping room. By check out hotel charged our credit card by nearly double amount, instead of 709€ for 2 nights - 1338€, and did not explain why.after checked and corrected, just short sorry.

Time of check in was delayed untill 16:40!!!!

Super hotel with fabulous views. Staff very helpful with great attitude. No surliness here!! Barcelonetta area really nice, lovely atmosphere. Hire bikes and explore! Get the metro out to Gracia and wander round the real Barcelona

The Ramblas area is very touristy now- all shops selling same ware - Barca football shirts and Gaudi lizards and flamenco dolls, and restaurants selling paella. The unique restaurants have moved away from this area so go out and explore.

It is worth stating it is the best hotel I have stayed at. From the very entrance you feel stylish and friendly atmosphere in the air. I enjoyed every second and every square centimeter being there. From now on if Barcelona, then only W. I am coming back there in May.

After paying premium for the rooms compared to other hotel brands I think it's ridiculous to charge for Internet usage additional to the room rate. Any hotel that charges for wifi should really rethink its policy in this modern era!

Internet not free in the rooms.

The room with the bed pointing at the sea is fantastic. The long sofa across the window too. One could sit there all day and just enjoy.

Many plugs didn't work. We had to move the TV plug to the one next to it, and one of the lights and the plugs bythe sink didn't work and hairdrying & shaving had to be done by the window.

The wifi connection was horrible, superslow at 400 kilobytes/second, connection drops all over and with regular connection outages for over 30 minutes. I contacted reception desk about this and they put me through with their supplier Docomo service desk, which occupied me on the phone for over 1 hour to confirm my 1st observation that the wifi connection was horrible. (By the way: can anyone tell me why they left this work to the guest and did not fix this internally?) After all they moved me to another room with almost the same poor wifi connection. Please note that this wifi costs 19,95 Euro per 24 hours which is by far the most expensive I have ever seen! Later on I wanted to print my boarding pass in the business center, which should be open 24/7, according to the W hotel guide which is on the desk in the room. When I wanted to enter the corridor towards the business center, I was chased away by 2 security monkeys, as they required me to wear a "superimportant security badge". This was a surprise to me, as this condition was not communicated anywhere. Their suggested alternative was to print the boarding pass at the reception desk, where was a queue of checking-in guests so I could wait forever for my turn. This hotel is poorly managed and highly overrated. Next time I visit Barcelona I'm confident I will find plenty of other hotels, which do have mannered staff and services that keep their promise.

What is there not to like I would say..... Very nice building, perfect location, fantastic view, incredible facilities, extremely, polite, and helpful staff.

Break fast places during rush hours are too packed and this creates problems with the proper service of the guests. This is something that the hotel has to take care of, as it spills on the otherwise perfect image and services of the hotel.

The facilities are fantastic. the views stunning. Staff were friendly and effective. Always willing to help. food was great.

The cost for breakfast was very high for effectively a continental breakfast. we were not made aware that another breakfast area was available. we paid € 32 euros a day for what was quite a mediocre breakfast selection

View was excellent but sewage was smell badly

I complained about it but no action was taken Noises came from next room
