Best location, big lounge. No breakast provided but in fact they serve coffee, tea and spainish donut for free in the morning.
the receptionist was nice. there was a kitchen that we could use and there was free churros for breakfast
far from the city center the bed wasn't really good
Great staff great location, the 2 euro Paella at night is extremely wonderful!
The wifi doesnt work in my dorm but it is fast at the common area
- Atmosphere - Activities organized by the hostel - Clean hostel - Great personnel - Great location
- I didn't mind it, but there might be some people coming home late in the morning making at least some sound
Personel are perfect and they do everything to help you. Actually they treat as a real friend. If you are alone , you can easyly make friends , because, way hostel has many social events. I stayed 4days and i cant find any thing bad to say(i am a difficult person)
Great place for travellers to stay. Staff are really helpful, hostel organized cheap local dishes which tasted great, organized bar crawl, walking/cycle tour (I recommend cycle) and activities to get to know people. Facilities were good. Kitchen is busy if you try to cook your own when they have a cooking event on but it's cheaper to have them cook. Stayed in a 12 bed dorm with no problems. Air con made it really easy to sleep and rooms were fairly secure with lockers.
Only thing I could say is the top bunk bed is too low so if your on bottom there's risk of hitting you head. Didn't find this to be a problem for myself
Awesome staff awesome atmosphere very helpful things to do that the hostel puts on. Very fun people that come through there. Would definitely stay there.
Nice staff, super kind, excellent wifi, impecable kitchen, great atmosphere.
good location, staff is friendly.
Staff was very efficient and helpful, €2 paella night, spacious dorms, nice bathrooms, great location in heart of Madrid.
location is perfect, the staff are very welcoming. facilities are a little old, but everything's fine.
Great place to meet ppl and hang out. Staff is great they are all friendly an helpful. Would definitely stay again
Niiice stuff Paella is gooood !!!
24 hr reception, nice staff, plenty of options for guests.
WiFi was horrible, doesn't extend to my room, and there weren't outlets by the beds. Staff treated me a little bit awkwardly, but were overall helpful enough.
I loved the social aspect of this hostel, the free tour with Erica and her twin was great, and the free sangria night was a lot of fun. I liked how the staff would come around and inform us of the events happening and encourage us to come out. I met a lot of friends at this hostel.
The beds were a little small, and the bathrooms were very narrow and tiny.
everything...the staff there were really nice and helpful :) and one of them is really cute :p
The staff is amazingly helpful; the beds are quite small but comfortable; the location is the best possible in Madrid's downtown.
The shower rooms are very small.
El staff, la ubicación excelente.
Location. Staff helpfulness n friendliness
Abit noisy. No personal charge station at the beds. No personal shelf to put things.
The vibe of the hostel is great. It's a great way to meet other travellers since there's a hang out in the kitchen and the lounge + the hostel arranges activities for the guest such as pubcrawl, sightseeing tours, etc. went on a free tour with Erica wich was very good. Thumbs up for this place!
The staff is so friendly!!
Way Hostel was my first experience in a hostel and I have to say I was very pleased by everything there. Friendly staff, clean rooms, clean toilets and bathroom, churros for breakfast, common room, etc all get thumbs up from me. The other good thing was the activities organised by the hostel. There was a free walking tour of Madrid, which I think is the best way to explore the city, and then there was pub crawl, flamenco dance with drinks, and also a day trip Toledo at a very nominal cost. I stayed in a common room and don't regret it as there was enough space for everyone, beds were nice and comfortable with quilt provided and also a locker provided (big enough to keep 2 hand luggage or maybe 1 hand luggage and 1 bag). The kitchen was big and spacious, with Churros in the morning prepared for breakfast, its a shame I couldn't eat Paella (only 2 euros!). The common room has comfortable sofas and computers to use. The toilets and bathroom were clean and dry, the cleaning staff did a good job! People at the reception were also very friendly and English speaking (big help!). And one major thing, that the location is great! It is just next to Tirso de Molina metro station which is very helpful if travelling by metro or even if walking it helps in asking for directions! All this for so less money, it is definitely value for money. You can stay here for cheap and then spend the money you save on other touristy stuff. In all I would recommend this hostel and would definitely come back and stay there if I'm in Madrid again.
There isn't anything which I didn't like.
Free use of computers/internet. Good location.
Wifi wasn't available in our room. Our room was on the first floor and it could be quite noisy with the kitchen and lounge nearby.
Location is perfect. One of the receptionist , can't remember her name 'blond lady' was fantastic, everyone else at the reception was ok-ish. Kitchen well equipped.
Not enough sockets. No air condition in the room, just couple of fans were not satisfying..too hot at night, could not sleep. Keycard wasn't working properly. Had to go back to the reception al least 3 times on my 3 night stay.
