Wilson Boutique Hotel  

Location: The hotel is on Avinguda Diagonal, away from the city center which is great when you need to relax. At the same time, the area of Gracia is 20 minutes by walking and there you can taste a different side of Barcelona, with quiet squares, people playing music not for money, nice bars and cafes. A more real version of how local people have fun. You can reach the city center from the hotel with 2 ways. 1.By walking about 1km to the nearest subway and then the placa Catalunya is 2 stops away or taking the bus right outside the hotel and in 2 stops you can take the subway. The room was great. Not something fancy, but cozy and with a great view on Diagonal Street. The hotel itself is a beautiful building. Overall it was a great experience.

The room didn't have a balcony, just a window. The distance from the center sometimes can be annoying if you don't like walking.

Good rooms, obliging staff. A little off centre but it's on a main bus route, including being about a quarter of a mile from a tourist bus route stop.

The internet space is a dark spot under the stair case, and is very poorly lit.

We were there for our wedding night and the staff were kind enough to put us in a room with a balcony overlooking diagonal, at no extra cost. The view at night is beautiful and great for romantic evening. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated.

The only bad point is that there are no restaurant facilities, there is a snack bar downstairs that has a choice of sandwiches. But not great quality! So best to eat out, which is easy as there are plenty good restaurants on diagonal street.

My wife and I stayed in one of the Wilson Boutique Suites for four nights during our honeymoon. Upon arrival, the staff were very helpful and kind by bringing our luggage to our room and offering advice on travel and excursions through Barcelona. We stayed on the 4th floor suite. The room has a double bed at its centre and windows all around with a bathroom. The space is not large. In fact, the bed takes up most of the space in the main area of the room, but that is to be expected in the style of building. The bathroom contains a large tub/shower that was comfortable to relax in. The room was very clean! And the city view from the window/balcony is nice.

When we booked the suite, we assumed we were getting one of the top floors for the price we paid and according to the description at booking, but we were on the 4th floor of 8. They have the suite on most floors for the same price. The location of the hotel is in the L'Eixample in Barcelona, which is North of the city centre. To go out, you could walk 30-40 minutes or take a taxi to the centre.

It was in a good location.quite after 1.00am and easy with transport location.

A little too far from metro station. You must plan the logistics before to walk to vist the city. May be exellent by bike.

The design of the room was very modern, the staff were very friendly, spoke good English and were very helpful in regards to directions and points of interest. Our room was not ready for us on the first night but the staff moved us to a 4* hotel across the road and even carried our luggage for us and gave us free breakfast. On our return to this hotel, we noticed that the Wilson Boutique hotel was much nicer than the 4* hotel, I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel!

The walls of the rooms are very thin. Me and my girlfriend were simply talking to each other (not even very loudly) in the early evening and some rude guests next door banged loudly on the walls. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the nearest metro stop (about 10 minutes) but I wouldn't let that put you off as there are many bus stops and tourism bus stops near the hotel and the hotel is in an area with many bars, shops and restaurants.

The room was very comfortable and modern.

There was a power cut on one day from 8am to noon, thus wasting half a day. We weren't compensated for this inconvenience. Location-wise, it's 5 blocks away from Diagonal station, which is a bit far after a long day walk.
