Lovely setting, with a small lake, horses and dogs (see problems), close to beaches and mountains. There was a friendly and helpful welcome. The problems we had were dealt with and managed reasonably well, but they shouldn't have arisen in the first place.
The resident dogs, seemingly placid, attacked our dog within a nano-second of getting out of the car. Nobody came to my aid, even though stable-hands were looking on, and I ended up cut, bruised and shaken. OK, dogs are unpredictable, but I understand that it's not the first time this has happened, and they should have taken measures to ensure it doesn't happen again. The property is in need of some T.L.C. and a thorough clean: broken shower trays, shower heads; torn sheets and towels; dirty fridge/freezer, and general lack of respect for guests' comfort and needs. An equestrian centre with a marginalized interest in the tourist trade.
