Reception staff - very helpful, accommodating and informative Shower - powerful Reception area - pleasant although a bit worn
Location - run down area, did not feel safe Breakfast - next door, horrible cafe, dry pastries Dirty room - clean bedding but very dirty behind curtains and in corners Noisy at night - shouting, loud noise all night Small room and bathroom - triple room with no space between 2 of the beds Dated, poor quality furnishings, threadbare carpets No lift - 2nd floor room with heavy bags was difficult Felt more like a hostel than a hotel.
Good value for money in a central position. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Very poor sound prooving between the bedrooms.
The staff on reception were so helpful and friendly during our stay. They accommodated us when we needed some medicine refrigerated and kept it securely locked in a staff refrigerator. The maids also deserve thanks for consistently being friendly and leaving our room neat and tidy everyday. The breakfast was good and served next door at Cafe Leblon. The location was great for exploring Bilbao. We could walk everywhere we wanted. Price was unbeatable.
Everything was good but not sure if there was air conditioning in the rooms (we didn't need it because it was so mild when we stayed). No lift but staff helped us take our bags to the first floor.
Location, price, and very nice staff.
So much noises from others guest.
Very good location, surroundings clean, not noisy, safe. Towels changed daily, room cleaned daily. Very nice reception.
the location is good for sightseeing as most main tourist points are within easy reach.
Area could have been better and lighting in the room very poor. Didn't think the rate paid was good value
room looking very tired almost imposable to sleep for noise
Really nice friendly staff wifi and Parking (at a smal extra cost) . Very basic but good value. Otherwise of town from old town but still a very good location...
That Peking was extra but it was to be expected I guess in any spanish city...
Walking distance from the old town. Clean and adequately comfortable.
Very tight underground parking
The Hotel position is close to the centre and the staff is nice and available to give advices and indications
The price/ quality ratio is very low, the room and hotel are ugly and not confortable. I addition the breackfast is horrible (done in the bar in front): small, dirty and low quality (we saw a cockroach escaping from the crissant, ....)
Lots of action in and around
nice, clean, well located
NO elevator! bad if you carry some luggage
Staff and their friendliness. Bar Wi-Fi Tidiness
1. there was a construction - super noisy, but I guess it's temporary 2. Breakfast was very very very basic. Better take no breakfast included.
The staff were professional and helpful
The room was not clean. There was dust along the walls. There was no air conditioning which is a must in hot weather. The TV kept freezing on some channels. The bathroom was not cleaned every day although fresh towels were put out.
This hotel is very well located, 30 mins of walk from the central bus station and less than 10 mins walk from Casco Viejo. Hotel staff was very friendly and some spoke good English, and those who weren't were really patient with our poor Spanish. Room decoration was fun. We were unlucky to stay here when there were a street work outside so in the morning we suffered some serious racket. All and all a well placed hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff.
Room was clean but a bit cramped for two. They have a free WiFi. In our room it worked so and so... Some days better than others.
The hotel parking is not suitable for roof boxes and in street parking is difficult to find. The area is a bit dodgy so we were not happy leaving our car in the street.
A nicet hotel within easy reach of everything.Nice bars in the area.
Decoration Room Staff
Breakfast location (next-door bar) No elevator (not necessary however)
It is basically an old firetrap! please take off your list or i will no longer trust your valuations
As above, sketchy area, pics on wall got on my nerves, but the price was right.
- very helpful and friendly stuff - nice lobby - walking distance to city center and many landmarks - clean - price FOR BILBAO standards is ok
- room was dark - room was clean, but needs a renovation - thin walls - not cozy - no airecon
The guy at the front desk was uber helpful and could not have done more to help. It was good having a place to have a cup of tea but could have done with some milk in a fridge.
The breakfast offered was very minimal and not much variety and only 1 piece of the choice allowed. Not a pleasant environment. The noise from adjacent rooms made sleeping hard. Having to shut the windows meant ventilation poor.
THE GUY ON RECEPTION IN THE DAY WAS LOVELY AND VERY HELPFUL
NO LAUNDRY SERVICE AVAILABLE
no elevator, no airco (in july). lot of outside noice. thin walls.
Very helpfull staff, they have a luggage area which is very useful as the train station doesn't offer this service (and it's only 15 mins on foot from the hotel). They gave us a map and pointed out general sites of interest, front desk is open 24 hours, location is between the old town and train station, which is very convenient.
If your windows are facing the street, it gets quite loud during the night. We had to sleep with windows closed (to get at least some sound insulation). It served the purpose as it wasn't too hot at that time (mid July, but lower temps). Could be worse at warmer nights because there is no air-con, but if your room is not on the street, you don't get this problem.
