Most difficult to get to by car, parking a distance away.
We were really made to feel welcome in this delightful and funky hotel. In a 300 year old building with a Moorish feeling, this small hotel was perfect for our needs. We stayed in Room 201, The Junior Suite, which we'd highly recommend. It was very spacious with couch and coffee table, as well as having a large bathroom. We had a great view of Alhambra towers from our window. Location was great, close to everything.
Friendly staff and lovely big bath with a nice view of the Alhambra
Smell of sewage in the bedroom and dodgy plumbing.
Location was perfect. Room was spacious and had a balcony which looked at the top of one of the Alhambra towers.
Our room was at reception level so you could hear everyone talking in the area during the day. At night, however it was quiet. It would not prevent us from staying there if we were to go again.
The location was excellent. Hotel was clean with charming decor and very helpful staff.
Noisy in the room - we could hear another room's TV and other people's conversation.
Mold in the shower, rickety glass, shelf and towel holder
Position was great. View was fantastic. Good breakfast spot below.
Being moved rooms after one night to a room that had an overwhelming sewerage smell - obviously pipe trouble. First room had balcony and was good. Second room small with terrible odour.
We LOVED this hotel! The best of all the places we stayed in Spain. Loved the overall atmosphere and location by the stream...provided great white noise for good sleep as well. Very kind and helpful staff and a great little pub just downstairs.
Only drawback was that wifi service was spotty at times, but that was case at all our hotels in Spain.
Lack of parking
The staff, very friendly and helpful.
Nothing to say about it
poor view, noisy
Our room was amazing, all modern comforts yet traditional Moorish decor. Fantastic views of the Alhambra and superb value for money.
beautiful looking building, rooms well decorated and tasteful period furniture
The stairs up to the hotel were very steep indeed and as I have arthritis bit of a struggle but the only downside
This small hotel is located right next to the Rio Darro below the Albaicin. The room was clean and the staff professional. Unfortunately these did not offset the extremely thin walls that allowed me to hear tv and conversations coming from adjacent room. Fri and Sat night near by bars are very noisy until 4AM
The outlook of the Allhambra Palace was great ad location good. Hotel full of charm.Staff were very helpful.
Although not many cars passing at night, lots of rowdy visitors passed the hotel throughout the night so not a good nights sleep.
The location and the uniqueness of the hotel
The rumour in the street till late in the night
Excellent value for money; Pleasant staff; Excellent location; Historical Building; Quirky rooms;
Noisy at night; Need standby receptionist as phone calls hold up check-out;
Rooms are quaint and comfy with everything you need for a short stay. Pay extra for a room with a view. Cafe/bar on bottom floor does an excellent breakfast.
Pillows are synthetic and notvery comfortable.
Location and views of Alhambra
Difficult to reach by car and no parking nearby
The hotel was perfectly situated in the old town and our room had a good view of the Alhambra which was very romantic. The bathroom was a good size.
As we stayed in the heat of the summer, we had booked a walking tour of the city to start at 9.30. the café attached to the hotel did not open early enough for us to have even a cup of coffee before starting out and it was a fair walk before we did find anywhere open.
Staff are very friendly and helpful otherwise a very average hotel.
The hotel has a beautiful view and is in the historic centre of the city, lovely to walk through and full of restaurants and marketplaces. The staff are really nice. Very clean.
The room was pretty but cramped.
Great comfortable feeling, clean rooms and wonderful staff, very helpful.
No wifi in the the rooms. Sewer gas in the bathroom not pleasant!
The hotel is apparently a 16th Century building and has a beautiful reception area. Loved the Alhambra view from our window! The room itself was charming, with its floral curtains & bed and crystal chandelier. It was however quite small. The bathroom was clean and elegantly done up too. The hotel was perfectly located: in the beautiful albaycin area, a stone's throw away from plaza nueva and close to all sights. There's a cafe/bar just below the hotel, and lots of restaurants and shops around. Loved our stay and highly recommend this place, especially for couples looking for a romantic holiday!
Just a heads up for families with children/people who need wheelchair access: while there is a lift, usage is restricted on the ground floor. To enter the lift from the ground floor, one needs to request the 1st floor reception to unlock the lift. A little bit of a bother, but wasn't a big deal.
The staff was very professional, nice, and very helpful. The hotel was right next to the river and you could see Alhambra from the hotel window. They didn't miss a detail with the theme of the hotel. Extremely clean throughout and themed bedding and decor in the room.
Because of the location which was on a narrow street next to the river, there was no place to park. We parked in a parking garage in the shopping district about .25 miles away. The cost was 36€ for two days. We walked with our luggage from the parking garage to the hotel but you could take a taxi if you had a lot of luggage. But the hotel was amazing with its decor, location, and views so it was worth it!
