Best Western Hotel Carlton

This hotel was so central and modern - I would highly recommend it as was extremely clean, staff were very very helpful and the location was a few minutes walk to the central train station which also happens to be where the airport bus drops you.

Location is great. Very friendly staff. Nice cafe downstairs.

The room was pretty small but I guess it is the same for most scandinavian hotels. There is no elevator but the staff helps you to carry your luggage.

Spacious bathroom, large window in the room, the noise of trams almost inaudible. A few people - only 4 people including me had breakfast on Sunday. Very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Wlan is free. You can ask still water in the bottles on the first floor (Robert's Coffee) - it's free for hotel guests.

Poor breakfast. The room is small, with furniture from different sets. A cabinet door was faulty, but I didn't need to use it. For one or two nights - ok.

Friendly helpful staff, great location close to the central train station and a convenient bar/restaurant for late night arrivals.

The breakfast items were cold, but on the upside there was a good variety.

Fridge empty. Small bathroom with tiny place to shower. Spent water ran all over the rest of the bathroom. No carpets in room.

1) Noisy ( transort in the busy street, even in night time + guests)! 2) bathroom floor- need to be specially levelled : water from shower is flooding !

Very good Irish Pub (live music every night) practically next door: Molly Malone's!!! The staff of the mini-hotel is very friendly, service is sufficient.

The double bed as advertised (as one of the few within the same budget) existed of 2 single beds and mattresses, very light weight so it was somewhat of a challenge to make love since the beds were drifting apart at the slightest movement... This in combination with the really cramped size of the room makes this mini-hotel fit for single travelers only.

Price is too high. Wifi signal in room is very weak whic cannot be able to access internet.

Tiny room, very small bed, no shelves in the bathroom - nowhere to place the towels.

Location for city center shops and cultural attraction. Access to Central railway station and bus transfer to Vantaa Airport.

Lack of a lift for baggage handling upstairs. Staff were very helpful however. The lack of effective water control in the shower area leads to water spreading on the floor as far as the toilet bowl. A proper cubicle would fix this. Street noise- the double glazing is not effective enough especially in the reduction of sound from the adjacent clubs (base music pulsing) .

Yes, I have never had the same terrible experience. In fact, when I was to taking the plane at 5 A.M. one of the Hotel presented me another bill regarding two dinner of the days before. It was an error, because I had already payed the food, with cash, and they presented me another bill. It was an error also because I had took a pizza with vegetable the evening before I leav and it wasn't sifged in the new bill. The incredible thing is that I payed in the evening before the day I had the plane and they dosn't say anithing about this additional bill. They say to me only 3 hours before I had my airplane and so musted pay this wrong additional bill. Also, the food of the Iguana resturant is not very good.

I loved, that staff arranged breakfast earlier, because of my work-schedule. Breakfast was good, everything was fresh. Especially I appreciated the location.

Considering how active and noisy the ground floor cafe was, the room wad surprisingly quite. Location is excellent. I blew a fuse in the middle of the night and they got the lights back on quickly.

Parking was crazy expensive €38 per day!!! No place to unload a car. Breakfast had very old crusty leftovers. When I asked if I could have something cooked they said yes, then just scrapped the old bits onto a plate. The waitress admitted that the cook did this all the time and just smokes and talks to his friends instead if cooking. Disgusting.

It was quite comfortable. 10-15min walk from central staton. Close to Ateneum Museum.

Convenient Location: Only two blocks from Helsinki Central Train Station and easy walking distance to museums, to excellent shopping and to the waterfront boat taxi services. The hotel has a good casual dining area with reasonable prices. Our room was small but reasonably comfortable. Security is good and the hotel is in a safe area.

The hotel has 19 rooms, all on the second floor. There is no elevator and all luggage must be carried up the stairs from the lobby to the room level. There is no exercise area, swimming pool, hot tub or sauna.

Really friendly and warm staff, and a small but high-quality breakfast buffet selection. The hotel is older, but the rooms are surprisingly roomy with a little sofa, coffee table, AND nice-sized desk. Just five minutes from the central train station and a heartbeat from the city center.

Aside from being clean and comfortable I especially liked the staff. They were truly helpful, kind and friendly.

Great location, 5min walk to central station and as well to all central locations. Very close to shopping area. Helpful staff. Free WiFi internet, good breakfast.

For 1 person the room was ok, but for the couple of family it should be larger!
