Very friendly and attentative staff, especially in the reception and in the restaurant during dinner time. Easy to find parking. Short walking distance to the market square and shopping areas. Tram 4 connection from front of the hotel was excellent. Cleaning was very sloppy, i.e. we never received clean cups and glasses to replace those that we used. the used ones were simply taken away. As little folder telling about the hotel and its services, and Helsinki would have been nice.

Great location, interesting building, good breakfast, polite and efficient front desk. 1.Front desk restaurant recommendation took us to the “Savotta” – a tourist trap with mediocre food, high prices and extremely slow service. 2.Shower design – floor is always very wet after shower is taken 3.No real AC in the room, so it was a bit hot at night.

Staff at reception were excellent and very helpful at all times. Serving breakfast in the morning, the staff were very glum. Chef/cook disappeared for about 10 mins. One morning and had to wait on cooked breakfast.

Evening front desk clerk was very helpful. Convenient to town. Excellent use of a building--use of an old prison. Maybe someone in the US could do the same with Marion. Door to room was very low--bumped my head twice. Internet was very erratic.

Very good restaurant and excellent, friendly service. Be careful about the car park, as this iscrun by an outside company and is expensive. You can park safely just next to the hotel free of charge at the weekend.

The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, but with easy access to the city centre and the harbour, either by tram which stops at the door or just a pleasant 15 minute walk. Being a converted prison, the walls are thick which means you are never disturbed by noisy guests. The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. There is nothing to dislike.

The concept of the conversion to a hotel. The bathroom needs a good clean, the shower stall needs a good scrub as well as the toilet bowl. Persistent faint smell of urine. We found an empty vodka bottle under the bed.

Clever idea to convert former jail into a hotel. Hotel was not very quiet...loud group playing cards and drinking most of the night could be heard 2 rooms away. Hard to believe considering this building was once a jail.

Friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary breakfast at the integrated restaurant. Unique design. Decent location. Guest rooms have free safes. Free internet access. Air conditioning barely works. Ground floor has a dripping pipe in the restaurant. Parking fee is overpriced. No stand alone alarm clock; time is integrated into the television.

Very positive impressions. The hotel is very close to the city center. It is a ten minute (max) walk to the Esplanade with all the shops and restaurants. The hotel offer bikes for rent which makes it even easier to move around. The rental price is nicely low (only 9 euros). The rooms are great - beautiful, cosy, quiet spacious. The hotel interior in general is wonderful, not to mention the original concept! Perfect staff. Always nice an helpful, always ready to help - whether you need an umbrella to go out or a later check out for free. Exactly what all the other guests mention - sauna hours. The sauna was only open in the early morning for one hour, and only on weekends.

location, atmosphere closed sauna on weekend, respectively it was inserted that on weeken is free - which was the case only for morning hours (7-9 a.m. or so...), in the evenening there had to be paid for (20 Euro/person/hour). therefore it would be better not to mislead in the advertisement...
