Best Western Hotel Seaport  

The hotel is located just infront of the ferry terminal - you couldn't get possibly closer. The city is also nearby, there is a bus running every 10 minutes infront of the hotel, that takes you to the center in 10 minutes (5,5 eur retour). We arrived very early in the morning, and since our room was vacant they let us check in right away, without any additional fee - priceless after a sleepless ferry trip... The hotel and the room itself is nice and clean, with spacious rooms, at a reasonable price.

Breakfast had quite many interesting/various choices (thumbs up).

Room was a little bit cold.

Location is excellent, when travelling by boat

The furniture was old and the bed was not comfortable; the internet connection wasn't working in our room and breakfast was poor. At that price we expected much more.

I think everything about this hotel was a pleasant surprise, and I have no hesitation in awarding it top marks. The location could not be better in Turku, especially for anyone taking a Silja or Viking Line Ferry, there is an excellent welcome from the staff, the rooms are very tastefully laid out given the constraints of the building, and the breakfast will keep you going on a long voyage. The whole area around the hotel is pleasant enough, without any of the detractions you sometimes get in port areas. You can watch the huge ferries arrive or depart during the evening – or do similar in the morning. Bus Number 1 goes from the airport to the hotel via the Town Centre. The castle and harbour area are the main attractions of Turku which otherwise is a very plain town.

Location is a bit far from Turku downtown, but walk by the river quay is nice. Quiet. Just hundred meters from Turku Castle. Interior design of the hotel is interesting. The hotel has a play corner for kids (on the second floor). Buffet breakfast is quite good.

In our room the windows were monolithic and can not be opened. This is a big minus for these who like fresh air in their room. And air- conditioning is either absent or not working very well. So inside of the room the air felt rather bad.

An interesting design and friendly staff is about all I can say in favor or this hotel. Far from town center. Overpriced. Small room. Uncomfortable bed. Does not supply wash cloth, shampoo usually found in such high priced hotels. Ads suggest this hotel has a view of water. It does not. Bus necessary to get into town center. Hotel should offer shuttle service. Not recommended for tourist travel.

People stay here overnight only if they want to wake up just before their ferry leaves.

Quality is not worth of room price. The hotel is built in the middle of a parking place and the scenery from windows is the ugliest you can find in Turku. Rooms are big but gloomy.

The hotel is situated about Turku harbor and old castle, in the quiet place. Very clean and spacious rooms. Good and various breakfast.
