Centro Hotel Turku  

Centro Hotel is a great place for people who are bored with choosing global hotel chains. Quite small hotel in the heart of the city, but at the same time a very quiet and calm place. I spent the first night in a small but nice standard single room. After that I asked the staff to change it because of the morning noise from the corridor - and that's how I discovered the superior room, which I strongly recommend. It was a great big room, big comfortable bed, I slept like a baby. The hotel is clean, breakfast was decent, staff was very helpful. I liked it a lot and will stay there next time if visiting Turku.

Finnish coffee is awful, but of course it's not the hotels fault.

Breakfast was great - melon's ( two kind) in winter for dessert!!! Wonderful design, suitable rooms. In the centre of Turku! Parking.

Pleasant and efficient staff, and very fresh and clean room. Breakfast was excellent. It would be perfect if there was tea/coffee maker (I was thirsty upon my arrival late at night).

It was a bit noisy because of bad sound proofing between rooms and corridor.

Nice hotel, very quiet because all rooms are facing a courtyard. Great Scandinavian-style breakfast buffet, with fruit and half a dozen different fish. There is also an €8.50 *evening* buffet (without the fish though), which is even *free* if you booked a superior room---though that is not mentioned on the website and we only learned about it by pure chance! Complimentary mineral water in the rooms, nice bathroom.

Staff is friendly and speaks perfect English but important info must be asked of them, like they could have told us about the free evening buffet. On weekdays, the sumptuous breakfast is only until 9.30, which can be tight if you stayed up late. (Sat/Sun is one hour longer, and you can ask them to give you a little more time anyway). The shower in our room had only a curtain which made for wet bathroom floors all the time but there was a rug towel to mop it up.

The Centro hotel was ideally situated and provided just the right level of comfort. Parking is limited, but we were lucky. The breakfast was excellent!

No air conditioning

The interior design in rooms is cozier than in an average hotel, also in the lobby and breakfast room. Friendly staff and good breakfast.

You will also notice all kind of mistakes, e g door of our room didn't close fully.

The room was nice, clean and I liked the colours. Location was handy, city center and Aura river were very close. It was quiet in the night, we were able to keep the window open all night.

The bathroom was very small although well equipped. Window of the room was small and to the parking area. Breakfast was good but I have to say I expected more, since the hotel had advertised its breakfast. Cold dishes were very good, but there were not a lot of warm dishes. I was also disappointed when cheesecake ran out before I was able to taste it.
