The apartment is very central, which is it's only plus.
There are three reasons we stayed at this apartment for the duration of our visit: #1. We read all the comments before we left, and took our own bedsheets just in case- meaning we didn't have to sleep on the nasty sheets available. #2: It was warm, we were able to keep the window open ALL THE TIME to circulate the air so that the disgusting smell was not as noticable, and we didn't have to sleep under the disgusting smelling blankets. #3: We spent a couple of days living in a space in which you tried to touch AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE, as mentioned, we had our own sheets, and spent a lot of time outside, so we made do - we didn't want to ruin our holiday by moving and having the hassle to get money back or pay more somewhere else. It was a 4 day holiday, a much needed break, so we sucked it up. I TOOK PHOTOS...as I know most of this sounds totally impossible: There was food left in the fridge, not a huge problem if it wasn't rotten. The shower curtain and bathroom were so disgusting, I can't imagine anyone has ever cleaned it. It's a health hazard. The layer of Dust on the furniture also suggest that it's never been cleaned. The furniture was old, with random stuff seemingly left by other guests (comb etc) The worst, which I sadly couldn't capture via photo, was the smell- it smells like someone puked in there 4 months ago and it was never cleaned up. I actually looked in every corner as the smell was so strong we assumed the puke was still there.
nothing the only think good is on the city
dirty, old,no TV,rest from tabacco from the last cousterm was on the bad, the bad chits was yellow, the holle apartament sting from the old carpert in the wall. s discusting to ask money from a place in this condition and that was not the place in the foto
You have to pick apartment key from 4km distance location from city center. It costs unnecessary time and money. And the apartment was way different from the picture.
Check in location and worng picture.
They charge more than booking.com prize was. They added cleaning fee to prize. Studio-room was dirty.
Location and cleanness.
I was charged 90 euro for the only one night that we stayed, much more than it should be. How come it was that much more expensive that it was supposed to be? There was no staff/service at the place that we were staying.
The location is perfect! so close to the city center. there are lots of shops, restaurants, bars near by the apartment. 10 metres from the flat is supermarket. Next door - is a bicycle rent shop. Excellent!
The door blocks without the key, so there is a great posibility to leave the key inside and close the door by chance.
It was warm
This whole thing looks and feels like a scam. They charge you a 36 € "cleaning fee" in addition to the price you already paid. Also, there is a 50 € "key deposit fee" which they charge from your credit card and according to a receptionist return later on via bank wire transfer (meaning you have to give them your bank account number). You alao have to pick up the key 3 km's north of the premises. The mini-map in the booking lies about the location, it is in completely different direction. Also, the apartment was very dirty with an inch of dust below sofa and used laundries on bottom of coat rack. Avoid!!!
Online I booked for a self contained unit. I was told to go to one address, I took the taxi with all my stuff to this address, just to find it was out of the centre, that was where to check in but the actual accomodation was 2km away, yet this is where you had to check in. Tired this would mean another taxi (7 euro again just to step in) and relocating all stuff. The staff member looked unperterbed and sold me into staying in the hostel instead which was "so much cheaper" (5 euro cheaper). Then I discovered with the place I booked there was a cleaning fee of €36, who has a cleaning fee, not if you destroy the place, but even if you bin your mess and keep as clean as in the hostel (hostel no cleaning fee). After travelling 6 continents and numerous accomodation, I have never come across such a cleaning fee, especially as hefty as this. I suggest put this into the cost of the room. The cleaning fee also was not mentioned in the breakdown of the total price, or anywhere on my confirmation, was merely mentioned after booking and arrival. Then the room, I had just had a long journey, was tired, hence why I booked a room with a TV so I could relax. No tv, shared bathroom and the curtain to the shower (glass walls) was a persons width away from the walls, people could see you shower ??? Not good for non Europeans who do not like to displlay their body. Apparetly they did not provide transport from one location 2kn from the other, even though one is forced to check in 2km away from what they booked ??? All too much, next morning I found better accomodation, central, own bathroom and TV for the same price and the staff there were so much more helpful on my inquiries, help you book taxis from one place to the other, and were much more helpful on my daily queries than "can't help you, look into all questions yourself.
The place is near to the city center and the staff are friendly.
Check in place is far from the hotel and i didn't get the internet connection that they had promised.
1. Just to mention that I lived in Kampi apartment, not far from railway station and undeground station. It's really great location! 2. Take into account prices in Helsinki, this apartment pretty cheap. 3. Very clean place, in good house.
1. You should pickup the keys from the aprtment in othet address Sturenkatu, 27. It's not easy fo find it, especially if you are arrived in night time, and it's really far from nearest metro station (in general almost 4 km from the central railway station). 2. Problems with internet. Well, maybe internet is great in this apartment, but there was no wi-fi receiver in my place. So I spent 4 days using internet in malls and bars, trying to solve this problem. But unfortunately, only answer on e-mail. No response and actions from the owner of the flat to solve this problem. 3. And I was very dissapointing trying to get back the keys from apartment. When I arrived to Sturenkatu 27, no one answered on my phone, nobody opened the door to the reception. It was great, that one guy, which was sitting on the kitchen inside opened the door for me, so I can leave the keys from the apartment. If there was nobody inside, I couldn't return the key and get back the deposit for them. Inappropriate situation and relationship to the guest.
Нas all the necessary appliances
Paid parking only during the day
Decent Wi-Fi speed.
I was aware that we needed to go to the hostel (located across the city) to pick up keys, but didn't think that I would need to return them on the morning that we leave. Fortunately, our flight was in the afternoon, so I had time to do this, BUT if you need to leave early in the morning, you will not be able to overlap with the hostel staff (who are available from 9am-1pm). VERY inconvenient aspect. The apartment bathroom was extremely dirty - especially the floor. The shower drain was slow. Several lights didn't work, so the main space was pretty dim.
The checkin is located 3 km from the apartment, and at checkout you need to give back the key in the same place. When we checked-in the fridge had some food from previous guests in not good conditions that was not removed. The toilet needs some refurbishment
